Abstract

This article will discuss Turkey's interests in resolving the Syrian conflict from the perspective of defense management. The Syrian conflict that demanded the resignation of President Bashar al-Assad made all countries in the world want to participate in conflict resolution. Turkey is no exception. Turkey is one of Syria’s close neighbors and is interested in it. National defense and economic interests are the main factors of Turkey in the Syrian conflict. The deployment of strategic depth of foreign policy has become the benchmark for conflict resolution. National defense management is a new science for realizing national interests, and its strategic environment must be reviewed. Therefore, as one of the important actors in the Middle East, Turkey has the aforementioned policies in realizing its national interests. This article uses qualitative methods in the conclusion. This article uses assumptions from realism to constructivism, national interest theory of national defense theory and national defense management theory. The conclusion of this article is that defense management (Assad's call for resignation) is based on preventing Syrian refugees from going to Turkey. A large number of refugees from Syria may undermine Turkey's security and stability. The aim is to maintain Turkey’s social and economic stability, which may be shaken by the existence of these refugee groups. Achieving this goal by providing support and weapon assistance to the Syrian rebels is considered a form of preventing the spread of the Syrian conflict. In addition, Turkey also hopes to join NATO

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh globalisasi, peran negara, dan implikasinya terhadap aktualisasi nilai-nilai ideologi negara bagi Warga Negara Indonesia. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam menjawab permasalahan adalah dengan studi literatur, observasi, dan wawancara.  Dari hasil data ditemukan bahwa terdapat nilai-nilai globalisasi yang mempengaruhi pola pikir, sikap, dan perilaku sebagian warga negara yang didukung dengan konsistensi, ketegasan, dan penguatan peran pemerintah dalam merawat nilai-nilai kebersamaan. Selain itu juga berimplikasi untuk meredam eskalasi dan kegiatan yang menjurus pada perilaku yang menonjolkan sentiment primordial serta berimplikasi memantapkan persepsi warga negara tentang pentingnya ideologi negara, walaupun tidak langsung mengakselerasi masyarakat mengaktualisasikan nilai-nilai ideology negara secara signifikan.-----This article aims to analyze the effect of globalization, the role of the state, and its implications for the actualization of state ideology values for Indonesian citizens. The approach used in answering problems is through literature study, observation, and interview. From the results of the data, it found that there are values of globalization that affect the mindset, attitudes, and behavior of some citizens supported by consistency, decisiveness, and strengthening the role of government in caring for the values of togetherness. It also has implications to reduce escalation and activities that lead to behaviors that highlight primordial sentiments and has implications for strengthening citizens' perceptions about the importance of state ideology. However, it does not directly accelerate the community to actualize state ideology values significantly.

Abstract

The Corona Virus Pandemic forces most organizations to implement systems and policies that are adjusted to gov-ernment regulations and appeals, including work from home, including at a research institute in private universi-typies in Indonesia. For the systems and policies to be implemented effectively, the leadership makes adjustments, especially in managing communications. Communication management is an important point during this transi-tional period because it has an impact on the coordination and results of work. Ineffective communication causes the institution's performance to be less than optimal. The purpose of this research is to describe the practice of communication management and coordination carried out by the leadership of an institution at a private university in Jakarta. The research method chosen was a case study approach, 11 informants were determined by purposive and snowball sampling. The results of this research show that the communication and coordination carried out by the leadership of the institution is not optimal, besides that it is limited to taking the initiative in confirming and providing a response, resulting in delays in completing their work. The fact in the field of leadership has not ad-justed the style of communication and coordination during the new normal. Comprehensive communication and coordination skills need serious attention because these abilities have an impact on institutions in building a cul-ture of synergy.

Abstract

Studi ini ditujukan untuk manganalisis peran manajerial kepala sekolah pada aspek peran interpersonal, peran transfer informasi, dan peran pengambil keputusan pada sekolah negeri pada sekolah lanjutan tingkat atas di Kabupaten Bogor dalam pengembangan kesadaran bela negara.  Pendekatan kualitatif dengan Teknik deskriptif digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Pengumpulan data primer dan sekunder dilakukan dengan cara kuisioner, wawancara, dan studi Pustaka terhadap subjek kepala sekolah, guru, tenaga pendukung, dan orangtua. Prosesnya dilengkapi dengan peran peneliti sebagai instrument utama. Hasil data menunjukkan bahwa peran interpersonal manajerial kepala sekolah dilakukan dalam kerangka jalinan hubungan diri kepala sekolah dengan berbagai pihak yang terefleksikan melalui peran menjadi pemimpin, anutan, dan penghubung dengan dinamika pemahaman kepala sekolah terhadap permasalahan kontekstual dalam mengembangkan kesadaran bernegara dihadapkan dengan musuh bersama sebagai bangsa, peran  transfer informasi dilakukan melalui peran menjadi juru bicara, penyebar berita, dan pengawas, yang dalam pelaksanaannya sangat menekankan prestasi belajar sebagai modal warga negara yang baik, dan peran pengambil keputusan melalui peran sebagai pelopor, pengentas kendala, pengalokasi sumber daya, dan perunding, yang hasilnya merepresentasikan hadirnya negara dalam mengatasi permasalahan bersama sebagai bangsa dihadapkan dengan pandemi Covid-19.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of empowerment carried out for prospective migrant workers who will work abroad in order to support economic security. This research was conducted in Malang and Blitar districts in East Java Province using a qualitative approach. Data collection through interviews, document studies, and focus group discussions (FGD). The findings of this study are, first, the factors underlying migrant workers working abroad on the basis of their own initiative, economic drive, level of education, market demand, and psychosocial factors. Second, the benefits of the existence of migrant workers for local residents from migrant workers are as economic drivers and the development of the character of the community work ethic. Third, the problems most felt by migrant workers and their families include aspects of the lack of certainty in the time of departure, work and treatment that is not in accordance with the work contract, bear the family's longing, as well as the prejudice and potential divorce after returning to the homeland. Fourth, the implementation of pre-placement, placement, and post-placement of migrant workers working abroad that involves the role of government, companies, users / agents of partners, but in its implementation is still not optimal. Fifth, the implementation of the preparation of migrant workers to work abroad has positive implications in the form of protection of the rights and readiness of migrant workers to carry out work activities abroad, but on the other hand also has negative implications because the empowerment of the government is still not optimal can disrupt the process of support for efforts to achieve economic security.

Abstract

This study is intended to analyze the leadership of lecturers in influencing members of the Civic Education learning class faced with the Covid-19 Pandemic. The discussion focused on controlling tactics used by lecturers in-class activities, including the initial stage, the running stage, to the final step. Qualitative methods are used to discuss the problem, and the data analysis approach is carried out using descriptive techniques. Data was collected using interviews with selected lecturers, observations, and literature studies. The process is complemented by the role of the researcher as the main instrument. The data results show that the influence tactics used by lecturers in their leadership are adjusted to existing conditions, including the initial stage, the running stage, and the final stage referring to the dynamics of the Covid-19 pandemic condition.

Abstract

This dedication aims to socialize and develop the human resources of FKIP Undana students based on the concept of national defense. FKIP Undana students have an important role in nation-building and need a deep understanding of the spirit of national defense and relevant skills. The community service activities are carried out in three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. This dedication is a collaboration between the Defense University of the Republic of Indonesia and Nusa Cendana University. Socialization and discussion methods are employed in implementing the community service to FKIP Undana's community. The Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach is used to enhance the capacity and capabilities of students in the spirit of national defense. This approach aims to develop collective critical awareness of students' roles in a diverse society and the global challenges to national sovereignty. The results of this dedication indicate that the management of students' human resources (HR) in the context of national defense plays a crucial role in building capacity, increasing awareness, developing leadership, collaboration, and utilizing technology and social media. With effective HR management, students can become a strong force in the spirit of national defense, actively participate in national defense activities, prepare themselves as future generations ready to face national security challenges, and build cross-border relationships. Furthermore, the efforts of students as intellectual cadres include the development of critical thinking, innovation, information dissemination, constructive criticism, and supervision. The implementation of national defense among students can be carried out by incorporating national defense materials into the academic curriculum, organizing seminars and discussions, conducting physical and mental exercises, encouraging participation in national defense activities beyond the campus, and fostering awareness and the spirit of national defense through campus life.
