Abstract

Company policies related to working capital are very important to note, given the amount of working capital as a proportion of company assets. The financial manager must be able to maximize the use of working capital for the benefit of shareholders. This research aims to assess and analyze the effect of working capital management measured by the cash conversion cycle on profitability and risk in manufacturing companies in Indonesia.  Data used are from financial statements of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange and fulfill research requirements using with purposive sampling method amount to 81 companies from 2014 to 2018. The result of the study shows that the cash conversion cycle has a negative significant effect on the profitability and risk of the company.

Abstract

Equity Market Timing is a relatively new capital structure theory taken by management to get sources of funds used by companies as corporate operational activities. This study examines and examines the effect of market timing equity as measured by using the (MTB) on capital structure as measured by using the book leverage ratio with the moderation of the board of directors structure. The sample used in this study was 80 companies. The data analysis method used is multiple regression. The results showed that MTB harmed capital structure. The moderating variable size of the board of commissioners and representatives of the board of directors weakens the negative impact of MTB on capital structure. An audit committee that did not measure the weaknesses or negative effects of MTB on capital structure.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence between non-interest income and profitability of conventional commercial banks in Indonesia due to the COVID-19 pandemic and to analyze the influence between non-interest income and the risk of conventional commercial banks in Indonesia due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The population in this study are Conventional Commercial Bank companies in Indonesia during the period 2020 quarter I to quarter IV. Data analysis in this study used linear regression assisted by the SPSS program. In this study it is proven that non-interest income (Fee Based Income) has a positive effect on profitability as measured by Return on Asset and Return on Equity and non-interest income (Fee Based Income) has a negative effect on bank risk as measured by Standard Deviation of Return on Asset and Standard Deviation of Return on Equity.

Abstract

The Muslim population in Indonesia is one of the highest at around 87%. The high population of the Muslim in Indonesia should be able to provide great potential in terms of Islamic finance as an investment activity, which will certainly contribute positively to the Indonesian economy. Investors will always be interested in investment with high returns and low risk. One of the alternatives is mutual funds, especially sharia equity mutual funds. The choice of the right mutual fund should pay attention to how the performance of the mutual fund. This study examines how the performance of sharia equity mutual funds using the Sharpe, Treynor, and Jensen methods are affected by stock selectivity skills, market timing ability, risk, and size during 2012-2017. The finding of this research is stock selectivity skills, market timing ability, risk, and size are a significantly positive influence on the performance of sharia equity mutual fund. The influence of stock selectivity skill, market timing ability, risk, and size are very strong if measured by the treynor method.

Abstract

This research purpose to examine what factor that determine method of payment acquisition in Indonesia. The period of sample during 2000-2017 and using multinomial logistic regression. There are 85 samples of transanctions (57 using cash payment, 18 using mix payment, and 10 using stock payment). Independent variables are market to book ratio, market capitalization, tobin’s Q, cash flow, and standard deviations of return. Acquirer Correlation as a control variable. This study find that market to book ratio has positive effect on stock and mix payment method than cash payment method at 10%. Tobin’s Q has positive effect on mix payment method than cash payment method at 10%.

Abstract

This research investigate impact of institutional ownership on firm performance, and moderating effect of active institutional ownership. Using purposive sampling and the period of 2012-2016, we obtained 436 observations of 99 manufacturing firms for dependent variable mea- sured by ROA, and 415 observations of 95 manufacturing firms for dependent variable measured by Tobin’s Q. We found that institutional ownership had significant positive effect on firm perfor- mance. Active institutional ownership as a moderating variable, strengthens the positive effect of institutional ownership on firm performance.

Abstract

Abstract: This paper intends to analyze the relationship of these following asset components (Total Assets, Return of Assets (ROA), and Equity to Total Assets) to Credit Line Utilization. Ordinary Least Square is applied as a technique for its data analytical. This research observed 78 data transaction samples which have a performance window taken from 2016 until 2017. The results show there are negative significant relationships between Total Assets, Return of Assets (ROA), and Equity to Total Assets to Credit Line Utilization. Keyword: credit line utilization, total asset, return on asset, equity to total asset, credit line.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the determinants of money demand which include M2 with GDP per capita, government expenditure, FDI, imports and interest rates. The samples from this study are Southeast Asian countries such as Indonesia, Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam originating from the IFS in the period 2000-2013. This method uses purposive sampling technique which is processed by analysis of Fixed Effect Square Least Dummy Variables (LSDV). This study concludes that the country includes the countries of Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam has a lower circulation of money than the country of Indonesia.Keywords : M2, GDP per capita, government expenditure, FDI, Imports, interest rates

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh diversifikasi pendapatan (DIVPEN) terhadap kinerja bank yang menggunakan proksi return on assets (ROA) dan return on equity (ROE) dan risiko likuiditas yang menggunakan proksi non performing financing (NPF) dengan mediasi bank capital buffer (BCB) pada sektor perbankan syariah Indonesia. Observasi dilakukan terhadap seluruh perbankan syariah yang terdaftar di Otoritas Jasa Keuangan salama periode 2009-2018. Metode analisisnya menggunakan analisis regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa DIVPEN memiliki pengaruh positif signifikan terhadap ROA dan ROE, namun berpengaruh negatif terhadap NPF. Sedangkan BCB memiliki pengaruh positif signifikan terhadap ROE dan pengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap NPF.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of income diversification on bank performance and risk for government owned banks in Indonesia. This study uses return on assets (ROA) for bank performance and standard deviation of return on assets (SDROA) for bank risk. Using a data set of government owned banks in Indonesia during the period 2012-2016, we find evidence that income diversification is positively related to bank performance (ROA). Income diversification is positively related to bank risk. We find that income diversification increases performance and also risk for government owned banks. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh diversifikasi pendapatan terhadap kinerja dan risiko bank. Pengukuran pada penelitian ini menggunakan return on assets (ROA) untuk mengukur kinerja dan  standar deviasi return on assets (SDROA) untuk mengukur risiko bank. Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel bank milik pemerintah selama periode 2012-2016. Penelitian ini menunjukkan hasil bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif signifikan diversifikasi pendapatan terhadap kinerja bank.  Implementasi strategi diversifikasi pendapatan juga berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap risiko bank. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa diversifikasi pendapatan tidak hanya meningkatkan kinerja namun juga risiko bank milik pemerintah.
