Information systems have become one of the fundamental requirements for organizations or companies. With an information system, business processes can run more effectively. Next Generation Operation Support System Assurance (NOSS-A) is an information system used by PT. Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk, to monitor and record internet disruption complaints of Indihome service. The NOSS-A Information System manages a lot of data related to customer and staff data. For this reason, in this study, the research was carried out to audit the NOSS-A information system to see whether there is a need for an improvement in the information system, based on audit results that can show the impact of the effectiveness and capability level achieved. The audit standard used in this study is COBIT 5.0 with the domain Deliver, Service and Support. The results obtained from this study are the NOSS-A Information System is at level 4 which means the activities on the DSS domain has been done and monitored regularly. The NOSS-A Information System needs to have a regular evaluation with target improvement to increase its level in the future.

Abstract

All is altered by technology. Every aspect of our lives is now, in one way or another, heavily dependent on or seamlessly improved by technology. Different technology media, channels and resources, especially in the higher education, have greatly affected the method of pedagogy in recent years. First was computer-based learning, which has replaced most of the traditional way in reading, learning and test taking. This include the use of electronic books, videos and the computer-based exams. On the other hand, gamification has been able to enhance students' understanding of learning. From the usual monotonous reading to the recollection of a enjoyable game-like experience, which gives them the feeling of pleasure instead of pressure. The students undertaking accounting classes have a great deal to learn basic accounting including debit and credit principles – a double entry accouting system method, which are one of the essentiaal and important to the skills they have in the real world, and yet they can be repetitive, boring and tearful. The CREB1T application aimed to tackle this issue by incorporating gamification approach in the lesson and deploy it on a mobile application, a platform where most millenials students are receptive with. And since it’s on mobile students may able to learn it anywhere during their spare time giving them freedom to suit their study habit.

Abstract

There are numerous frameworks that can be utilized to develop information technology governance when examining corporate governance. COBIT is an auditing framework that auditors use to control and manage IT governance. PT. XYZ is a newcomer in the paint and coating production industry in Indonesia, and to compete with competitors and accommodate corporate goals, a design in IT Governance is required to determine what must be changed. The research aimed to provide an IT governance design that tailored based on what the company needs. The governance design is compiled by using the latest COBIT 2019 framework, which involved interview and quantification of each Design Factor values from the interview. We conducted interviews with prominent IT personnel within the company using the COBIT 2019 framework Design Factor (DF), which includes: enterprise strategy, enterprise goals, risk profile, and I&T related issues, threat landscape, compliance requirement, role of IT, model of IT, and finally IT implementation methods. The results suggest that five core models, including EDM05, APO06, APO14, MEA03, and MEA04, are advised to have a competency level of 2. There is one core model for which a skill level of 3 is indicated, which is BAI09. This study is only concerned with developing an IT governance design; there is no evaluation of the core model or methodology.

Abstract

Information Technology (IT) is crucial for companies. With technology, all jobs can be made easily by humans and can advance business processes more quickly and effectively. To find out the extent of the company's development in IT processing, an audit is needed. Without an efficient use of IT, companies will only waste IT-related investment that has been made. The purpose of this study is to audit IT governance implemented in a mining company XYZ. The IT governance audit that we use is based on the COBIT 5. framework. In this study, we use one Deliver, Service, Support (DSS) domain that includes six subdomains: DSS01 (Manage Operations), DSS02 (Manage Service requests and Incidents), DSS03 (Manage Problems), DSS04 (Manage Continuity), DSS05 (Manage Security Service), and DSS06 (Manage Business Process Control). For data collection in this study, researchers used interviews and questionnaire methods for related parties. The results of the IT Maturity Level for DSS domains reached an average level 2 or Managed Process, which shows that the company was able to operate the IT process yet with unclear definition and standard operating procedure nor evaluation or planned improvement. Keywords; COBIT 5, DSS, Capability Level, IT Auditing

Abstract

Information technology governance has become an essential part of most companies. The use of information technology is not only limited to companies but also educational institutions. Information technology capabilities must keep pace with the times to help achieve process efficiency. Return on investment in information technology is an important consideration, so an assessment of information technology governance needs to be carried out. This study aims to determine how well information technology at the XYZ institution supports companies in doing their business. The COBIT 2019 framework is used in this research to achieve good information technology governance by showing how information technology can be aligned with the business. The study results show that the BAI03 Managed Solutions Identification and Build, BAI07 Managed IT Changes Acceptance and Transitioning, BAI10 Managed Configuration, DSS01 Managed Operations, and DSS05 Managed Security Services processes were found to be priority processes for XYZ institution. Using the COBIT 2019 design factor toolkit, the DSS01 process has a target capability level of 4, while the BAI03, BAI07, BAI10, and DSS05 processes have a target capability level of 3. Each priority process was found to have a capability level of level 1, resulting in a gap in the capability level between the current capability levels and the target capability level. The BAI10 process has the lowest capability level among the five priority processes with a partially rating of 20%.

Abstract

In terms of technology, governance can be implemented effectively and efficiently if it can provide functionality or value that applies to businesses of all sizes and types. IT governance design can help you explore design factors that influence governance and includes a workflow for planning a governance system for your enterprise. Control Objectives for Information and Related Technologies (COBIT) is a framework created by ISACA that contains guidance or guidance documents that may be useful to auditors, users, and management. COBIT is an internationally recognized and applied best practice for information, information technology, and organizational risk which can be used to define information technology to maximize IT control. As it is required to improve IT service, the design of IT governance was conducted at the Central Unit Hospital (RSUP) Prof. Kandou, Manado, North Sulawesi, using the latest version of COBIT, COBIT 2019. The following is an explanation of the priorities of Malayang Hospital. Governance below 25 points is proficiency level 1. The results shows that there are five objectives that becomes main priority (reaching level 4): EDM03, APO12, BAI02, BAI03 and BAI05. These objectives are the ones recommended to be audited. The second tier that may also suggested to be audited are objectives with capability level 3: APO07, APO08, BAI01, BAI07, DSS01, DSS02 and MEA01.Keywords; COBIT 2019, IT Governance, RSUP Prof. Kandou Malalayang

Abstract

The rapid development of information affects many aspects of human life. So that the field of information security becomes one aspect that must be considered. This study aims to measure the information security awareness and to improve daily operational activities of managing IT services effectively and efficiently. Salemba Adventist Academy has used the Wium Online Education Management System (WIOEM) online system, but in its implementation the security aspects of the system are not yet known. The Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v3 framework which is globally recognized for managing information technology is broken down into five parts: Service Strategy, Service Design, Service Transition, Service Operation, Continual Service Improvement. This study focuses on Service Operations with 4 attributes, namely: Security, Privacy, Risk, and Trust. The data collection method used by the researcher was through observation in the form of a questionnaire in taking the number of samples to several students by taking population samples using the Lemeshow method. After the data were collected, the results of the ITIL indicator questionnaire are calculated based on the data security level. The results show that the Security indicator is Level 1, the Privacy indicator is level 3, the Risk indicator is level 3, and the Trust indicator is level 4 on the Data Security Level scale. This shows that the WIOEM system can be used properly according to user expectations and meets several levels of data security according to ITIL v3 framework.
