Abstract

Inclusive education remains a challenging program to implement ideally, requiring ongoing management to continuously foster inclusivity in schools through various efforts. This service program aims to enhance the understanding of regular teachers in inclusive schools regarding the characteristics, early detection skills, and the development of learning programs for students with special needs. This is based on the principle that each student has unique needs, with some requiring special assistance from accompanying teachers. The program uses a needs analysis method, involving interviews and questionnaires to identify the needs of the teachers. Based on the analysis results, intervention objectives are set and a training program is designed. The intervention was conducted over two days: the first day focused on psychoeducation about inclusive education and understanding the characteristics of students with special needs, while the second day consisted of training in early detection and the preparation of specialized learning programs. The results of the intervention showed an improvement in teachers' ability to identify students' functional difficulties in physical, cognitive, and behavioral aspects. Teachers were also able to classify the characteristics of students with special needs and develop appropriate learning programs. This psychoeducation and early detection skills training effectively equips teachers in inclusive schools to be more optimal in identifying and designing learning programs for students with special needs.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the overview of parental burnout in parents with children with autism spectrum disorder. This research used intrinsic case through interviews, field notes, documents, artifacts. Data were analyzed by thematic analysis by Braun & Clarke. The results showed that all participants experienced parental burnout that was unique, but almost similar. The experiences are the experience of fatigue, the experience of inability, the experience of contrast, the experience of distance from children, and the experience of the Covid-19 pandemic. Parental burnout is caused by unbalanced risk and protective factors. These risk factors come from internal individuals, internal families, and external factors. Meanwhile, protective factors come from support and love for children. It has impact on oneself, family, children, and society. To overcome parental burnout, efforts are made related to individual relaxation efforts, individual learning efforts, relational efforts, and parenting efforts for children.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas terkait tantangan yang dihadapi siswa keberbakatan di Indonesia, termasuk kurangnya dukungan dari konteks pendidikan dan dampak negatif perundungan terhadap kesejahteraan psikologis dan akademis mereka. Dengan metode analisis deskriptif, artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dampak perundungan siswa keberbakatan terhadap proses pemilihan karir mereka dan mengidentifikasi kurangnya program pendidikan khusus serta isolasi sosial yang dialami siswa berbakat. Artikel ini menawarkan solusi seperti peningkatan program akselerasi, pelatihan guru, dan penciptaan lingkungan belajar yang aman dan inklusif. Selain itu, strategi koping dan adaptasi untuk membantu siswa berbakat mengelola tekanan psikologis juga diperhatikan untuk mengoptimalkan potensi mereka.

Abstract

Satisfaction with life is an important element of mental health as its protective features against depression, anxiety, and other mental health problems. The bottom-up theory of life satisfaction explained that satisfaction in specific domains tend to sum up to general life satisfaction. accordingly, studies reported that relationship satisfaction predicts general life satisfaction This cross-sectional study aims to investigate the role of two variables, namely perceived social support (PSS) and mattering. We hypothesized that PSS and mattering perform full serial mediation on the link relationship between relationship satisfaction and life satisfaction. 256 individuals who live in several urban areas in West Malaysia were recruited through purposive sampling to respond to online form consisted of scales of relationship satisfaction, satisfaction with life, general mattering scale and multidimensional scale of perceived social support. Bootstrap method with 95% confidence interval and 5,000 samples was conducted through PROCESS Macro model 6; the results suggested that a significant, full serial mediation occurred. Additionally, both PSS and mattering significantly predicted life satisfaction after controlling for each other.

Abstract

ABSTRAK      Penggunaan gadget dan internet pada anak usia sekolah atau generasi Z saat ini menunjukkan angka yang tinggi. Tingginya penggunaan gadget dan media sosial mencerminkan transformasi signifikan dalam teknologi informasi dan komunikasi, mempengaruhi berbagai aspek kehidupan manusia, salah satunya pendidikan. Selain itu, Dalam lingkup pendidikan, kecerdasan buatan/ Artificial Intelligence (AI) telah digunakan oleh tenaga pendidik dan siswa untuk membantu proses pembelajaran. Namun muncul tantangan di era digital yang perlu diperhatikan, seperti cyberbullying dan penggunaan AI yang tidak bijak oleh siswa. Kegiatan edukasi literasi digital diperlukan bagi guru dan praktisi pendidikan yang mendampingi proses belajar siswa di sekolah. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan untuk membekali guru dan praktisi pendidikan dengan literasi digital, keterampilan digital, dan pemanfaatan AI dalam kegiatan sekolah. Edukasi dilakukan secara daring melalui platform Zoom pada tanggal 4 Mei 2024. Pemaparan berlangsung selama 2 jam 28 menit dan dibagi ke dalam dua sesi dengan dua materi dan narasumber yang berbeda. Sesi pertama membahas tentang pentingnya literasi digital bagi guru dalam konteks pendidikan. sesi kedua membahas tentang penggunaan artificial intelligent (AI) dalam dunia pendidikan. Kegiatan ini dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan peserta secara signifikan dalam hal literasi digital dan penggunaan AI di konteks pendidikan. Evaluasi 94% peserta merasa kegiatan ini bermanfaat bagi pekerjaan mereka. Kata Kunci: Literasi Digital, Kecerdasan Buatan, Peningkatan Kapasitas Guru  ABSTRACT The use of gadgets and the internet among school-age children or Generation Z currently shows high numbers. The high use of gadgets and social media reflects a significant transformation in information and communication technology, affecting various aspects of human life, one of which is education. Apart from that, in the scope of education, artificial intelligence (AI) has been used by educators and students to assist the learning process. However, challenges arise in the digital era that need to be taken into account, such as cyberbullying and the unwise use of AI by students. Digital literacy educational activities are needed for teachers and educational practitioners who accompany students' learning processes at school. This activity is carried out to equip teachers and education practitioners with digital literacy, digital skills, and the use of AI in school activities. Education was carried out boldly via the Zoom platform on May 4, 2024. The presentation lasted 2 hours 28 minutes and was divided into two sessions with two different materials and sources. The first session discussed the importance of digital literacy for teachers in the educational context. the second session discussed the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the world of education. This activity can significantly increase participants' knowledge in terms of digital literacy and the use of AI in educational contexts. Abstract

Self esteem is one of the crucial aspects in the lives of adolescents. This is because during adolescence, individuals can recognize and develop various aspects within themselves, enabling them to determine whether they fall into the category pf positive or negative self esteem. Individuals with high self-esteem tend to have lead happier and more productive lives. Meanwhile, those with low self-esteem have negative perceptions when evaluating themselves and their surroundings. If self esteem issues in adolescents are not promptly addressed, they can have long term consequences on their overall development. Therefore, self esteem is considered significant, necessitating efforts to enhance it. One intervention that can be applied to boost self esteem is the utilization of the self instruction method. The aim of this research is to evaluate the extent of the success of the self instruction method in improving self esteem in late adolescents. The subjects are late adolescents, 19 years old, female, and currently attending high school. The measurement of self-esteem utilizes two scale the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES) and Coopersmith Self-Esteem Inventory (CSEI). In addition to administering the scales, observations, interviews, graphic tests, SSCT, and 16 Pf are conducted. The intervention involves individual self instruction method includes for main steps proposed by Meichenbaum. The experimental design in this research employes an A-B approach in a single-case experimental design pattern. The results indicate that the intervention using the self instruction method effectively raises the self-esteem of subject.Self esteem merupakan salah satu aspek penting pada diri remaja. Hal tersebut disebabkan pada masa remaja individu dapat mengenali dan mengembangkan aspek apa saja yang ada dalam dirinya, sehingga remaja mampu menentukan apakah ia masuk dalam kategori self esteem positif ataukah self esteem negatif. Individu dengan self esteem tinggi akan menjalani hidupnya dengan bahagia dan lebih produktif. Sementara itu individu dengan self esteem rendah memiliki persepsi negatif dalam menilai diri dan lingkungan. Apabila permasalahan self esteem pada remaja tidak segera ditangani akan berdampak pada masa perkembangan selanjutnya. Maka dari itu self esteem dianggap cukup penting, sehingga perlu adanya usaha dalam meningkatkan self esteem. Salah satu intervensi yang dapat diterapkan untuk menaikkan self esteem adalah memanfaatkan metode self instruction. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengevaluasi sejauh mana keberhasilan metode self instruction dalam manaikkan self esteem pada remaja akhir. Subjek merupakan remaja akhir dengan usia 19 tahun, berjenis kelamin perempuan dan sedang duduk dibangku SMA. Pengukuran dalam melihat self esteem menggunakan dua skala yaitu Rosenberg self Esteem Scale (RSES) dan Coopersmith Self Esteem Inventory (CSEI). Selain pemberian skala dilakukan juga observasi, wawancara, tes grafis, SSCT, dan 16 Pf. Tindakan intervensi yang diterapkan melibatkan penanganan individual pada subjek dengan memanfaatkan metode self instruction. Metode self instruction yang diimplementasikan melibatkan 4 langkah yang diajukan oleh Meichenbaum. Desain eksperimental pada penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan A-B dalam pola single case experimental design. Hasil penelitian mengindikasikan bahwa intervensi menggunakan metode self instruction efektif menaikkan self esteem pada subjek.
