Abstract

Increased of the number of visitor at Gelatik Cave is a challenge in terms of cave management. In natural conditions, Caves are vulnerable with environmental changes especially microclimates condition. The change of microclimate inside the cave can destruct cave ornaments.Therefore, it is necessary to calculate the cave carrying capacity with microclimates as the main parameter. This research aims to (1) explore the daily variation of speleoclimate in Gelatik Cave Tourism and (2) analyze the cave tourism capacity in Gelatik Cave. Microclimate parameter that was measured in this research was temperature, relative humidity, and carbon dioxide inside the cave. Measurement of microlimate parameter was carried out automatically for 24 hours during peak season in December 2017 and low season in May 2018. Cave tourism capacity was measured using Lobo method (Lobo, 2015). The results showed that temperature, relative humidity, and carbon dioxide in the Gelatik Cave varry due to tourism activities. The most sensitive parameter is the carbon dioxide concentration inside the cave. The maximum of tourists allowed to visit Gelatik Cave is 76 visitors/ day during holidays and working days. Meanwhile, the maximum time of stay accepted for a particular area inside Gelatik Cave is 17 minutes 10 seconds during weekdays and 12 minutes 53 seconds during the holiday season.

Abstract

Semarang City, as a capital city of a province in Indonesia, has experienced intensive rural or suburban migration to urban robinareas. Consequently, the land surface temperature (LST) is getting warmer in urbanized areas and leading to microscale temperature variation from time to time. The objectives of this study are 1) to investigate the geographical distribution of LST and vegetation covers in Semarang, and 2) to map microscale urban ecological condition with regards to LST based on urban thermal field variance index (UTFVI). Landsat 8 data was utilized to derive LST as well as vegetation covers by means of normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI). Next, UTFVI was classified based LST. This study revealed that relatively low NDVI values which mainly consists of built up areas and grassland are predominantly concentrated in the northern and central parts of Semarang. High NDVI values representing vegetation covers are predominantly located in the southern portion of Semarang. The most ecologically depressed areas are mainly distributed in the central portions of the city toward the northern portions of coastal areas. Prioritized sub-districts to be ecologically restored are Ngaliyan, Semarang Utara and Semarang Barat. Upcoming studies should emphasize on finding suitable measures to restore ecologically stressed areas.

Abstract

Munculnya era baru revolusi industri 4.0, menuntut tiap bidang keilmuan memiliki perkembangan teknologi yang tinggi, mutakhir, mudah diakses, dan berbasis internet. Tuntutan era baru ini juga mengharuskan bidang keilmuan geografi semakin berkembang menyesuaikan zaman. Perkembangan teknologi di bidang geografi yang saat ini berkembang sebagai bentuk tuntutan era revolusi 4.0 yaitu teknologi drone. Teknologi drone atau yang dikenal dengan pesawat tanpa awak dapat dimanfaatkan untuk pengambilan data dasar dalam kajian-kajian geografi. Di sisi lain, perkembangan teknologi ini belum terintegrasikan dengan silabus pendidikan pada tingkat pendidikan menegah sehingga pembelajaran geografi di tingkat ini cenderung masih bersifat teoretis dan kurang aplikatif. Padahal tuntutan kebutuhan seorang pembelajar geografi harus paham dan mengerti mengenai perkembangan teknologi ini. Adanya kegiatan sosialisasi dan pelatihan mengenai perkembangan teknologi di bidang geografi utama teknologi drone dapat menginisiasi diintegrasikannya pengetahuan mengenai perkembangan teknologi utamanya drone dalam pembelajaran di tingkat menengah. Hal ini nantinya dapat digunakan untuk memicu perubahan sistem pembelajaran geografi di tingkat menengah yang bersifat teoretis menjadi lebih aplikatif. Selain itu, lulusan atau produk dari tingkat menengah dapat memiliki kompetensi dan ketrampilan yang sesuai dengan tuntutan era revolusi industri 4.0 utamanya pada bidang kajian geografi.Kata Kunci: geografi; teknologi drone; pembelajaran; revolusi 4.0. Improving Student Skills in Facing Geographic Scientific Development in Era 4.0 through the Introduction of Drone Mapping ABSTRACT The emergence of a new era of the industrial revolution 4.0 requires each scientific field to have high technological development, easily accessible, and internet-based. The demand of this new era also requires that the field of geographic science developed according to the times. The development of technology in the field of geography which is currently developing as a form of the demands of the revolution era 4.0 is the drone technology. Drone technology, known as drone aircraft, can be used to collect basic data in geography studies. On the other hand, the development of this technology has not been integrated with the syllabus of education at the mid-level education so that geography learning at this level tends to be theoretical and less applicable. Though the demands of the needs of a geography learner must understand and understand about this technological development. The existence of socialization activities and training on technological developments in the main geographic fields of drone technology can initiate the integration of knowledge about the development of technology, especially drones in learning at the secondary level. This can later be used to trigger changes in geographic learning systems at the secondary level that are theoretical to be more applicable. In addition, graduates or products from the middle level can have competencies and skills that are in accordance with the demands of the industrial revolution era 4.0, especially in the field of geography studies.Keywords: drone mapping; geography; learning system; revolution 4.0.

Abstract

SMK Kehutanan memiliki tujuan menciptakan lulusan yang dapat berperan dalam mendukung pembangunan sektor kehutanan. Kemampuan teknis dalam pemetaan vegetasi merupakan kemampuan yang dibutuhkan oleh SMK Kehutanan. Berdasarkan uraian yang telah disebutkan mengenai pentingnya penguasaan pengolahan citra satelit guna pemetaan vegetasi, maka kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat berikut dengan mitra SMK Bakti Nusa Kabupaten Bogor jurusan teknik inventarisasi dan pemetaan hutan, bertujuan untuk 1) mengenalkan para siswa mengenai konsep akuisisi data penginderaan jauh hingga menjadi suatu citra satelit, 2) memberi pemahaman mengenai konsep pemetaan vegetasi dari citra satelit, dan 3) melatih para siswa untuk mengolah citra satelit hasil perekaman penginderaan jauh untuk pemetaan vegetasi di suatu wilayah. Hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan berhasil mengenalkan para siswa SMK kehutanan tentang konsep akuisisi data penginderaan jauh hingga menjadi suatu citra sateli. Para siswa juga mendapat pemahaman mengenai konsep pemetaan vegetasi secara cepat dalam luasan cakupan yang luas berbasis data penginderaan jauh. Selain itu, para siswa juga telah dibekali dengan tutorial pengolahan citra satelit dengan perangkat lunak ArcGIS. Umpan balik yang diberikan peserta pelatihan yaitu bertambahnya wawasan mengenai pemetaan secara cepat dengan teknologi penginderaan jauh. Selain itu, peserta juga merasa terbuka wawasannya dan mejadi termotivasi untuk mengeksplorasi hal baru dalam aplikasi pemetaan. Para peserta diakhir pelatihan menyampaikan beberapa aspirasi untuk materi kegiatan pelatihan selanjutnya berupa pemetaan digital, digitasi data spasial, dan morfologi hutan.

Abstract

Aspek ketrampilan khusus menjadi salah satu hal penting yang harus ada dalam kurikulum pembelajaran di SMK. Ketrampilan khusus yang harus dimiliki oleh lulusan SMK jurusan Kehutanan adalah ketrampilan pemetaan bidang kehutanan. Pembelajaran ketrampilan pemetaan di SMK Kehutanan perlu mengintegrasikan antara teori dan praktek langsung serta harus sesuai dengan perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan. Akan tetapi, ketrampilan pemetaan dalam bidang kehutanan belum terlalu diajarkan secara rinci di SMK Kehutanan. Hal ini disebabkan masih minimnya pengetahuan pendidik dalam hal praktek pengoperasian software sistem informasi geografis (SIG) khususnya untuk bidang kehutanan. Kondisi inilah yang menjadi latar belakang pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang bertujuan untuk (1) memberi tambahan bekal bagi siswa SMK Bakti Nusa jurusan kehutanan mengenai bentuk pemanfaatan SIG dalam kajian kehutanan utamanya NDVI dan serapan karbon; (2) mengenalkan arti pentingnya vegetasi dalam upaya pengurangan bencana perubahan iklim. Kegiatan pengabdian dilaksanakan dengan bentuk ceramah, diskusi, dan tutorial terkait pemanfaatan SIG untuk pemetaan bidang kehutanan. Peserta kegiatan sangat antusias dalam mengikuti kegiatan dan mengapresiasi pelaksanaan kegiatan yang menarik dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan kompetensi keilmuan dari peserta. Peserta juga meminta dilaksanakan kegiatan lanjutan dengan tema pemanfaatan SIG untuk bidang kajian lingkungan lainnya serta pemanfataan drone untuk pemetaan.

Abstract

SARS-Cov 2 is a virus that spreads throughout the world that can cause death and have a major impact on the national economy, especially the City of Surakarta experiencing high economic losses which can lead to increased unemployment. The Covid-19 pandemic has had a major impact on the process of economic flow in society. Many people complain and the cessation of their mobility and activities due to the Covid-19 virus pandemic. One of the sectors of community life that has been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic is the tourism sector. This study aims to describe the impact of Covid-19 on the economy in Surakarta City. This research method uses descriptive quantitative methods and the following research was carried out in the Surakarta City area. The impact of COVID-19 uses secondary data, including agency surveys and literacy studies as well as conducting descriptive statistical analysis and data tabulation. The results of this study are the impact of COVID-19 on seven research objects, including tourism, unemployment, inflation, layoffs (PHK), exports and imports, regional taxes, and investment. The decline in several sectors affected regional income, so that economic growth in Surakarta weakened. One sector that shows the affected status is tourist attraction which in 2019 was worth 3,562,551 people and in 2020 it decreased to 354,107 people, meaning that tourist attractions in Surakarta lost 3,208,444 people, this is one of which is influenced by the presence of regulations from the government regarding large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) which result in offices and most industrial activities being prohibited from producing, for an undetermined period of time, and causing economic losses.

Abstract

Coronavirusi Diseasei or commonly known as Covid-19 which attacks the respiratory system, severe lung infections and causes death. The Covid-19 virus in several regions continues to increase, this of course causes economic tension in various parts of Indonesia, one of which is Wonogiri Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the economy of a region. This study uses GRDP data in Wonogiri Regency in 2016-2020, data processing uses the formula for the rate of economic growth and is analyzed using a comparative descriptive method. Based on research results, the COVID-19 pandemic caused a very sharp decline in the economic sector, the annual GRDP decreased by 3.25%. The economic growth rate of Wonogiri Regency decreased from 4.88% in 2019 down to -1.63% in 2020.

Abstract

Nilai serapan karbon ekosistem di kawasan perkotaan jarang diteliti karena kurangnya vegetasi sebagai media penjerap karbon. Padahal kawasan perkotaan memiliki tingkat emisi karbon tinggi yang harus diminimalkan jumlahnya. Di sisi lain, nilai serapan karbon di kawasan perkotaan sangatlah dinamis akibat adanya faktor alami dari lingkungan dan faktor non-alami akibat aktivitas antropogenik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengidentifikasi nilai serapan karbondioksida di kawasan perkotaan dan untuk mengetahui variasi spasial nilai serapan karbon di kawasan perkotaan selama setahun. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa nilai serapan karbon di kawasan perkotaan tropis memiliki nilai yang cukup besar dibandingkan kawasan perkotaan di iklim sedang. Hal ini terjadi karena masih adanya ruang terbuka hijau berupa kebun di lahan pekarangan dan lahan pertanian.

Abstract

Mojolaban sub-district is one of the sub-districts in Sukoharjo which has the highest MSME business compared to other sub-districts, namely 42 types of MSME. MSME has been running for generations for the last 10 years. During the last 10 years, the income level of Mojolaban District has decreased due to weak consumer purchasing power. One of them is the MSME gamelan in Wirun Village which has decreased until it stops producing. The spatial planning strategy needs to be carried out to restore the income of the residents of Mojolaban District, so it is expected to be able to contribute either directly or indirectly to the economy of MSME owners in Mojolaban District. The aims of this study are to find out the distribution pattern of industry in Mojolaban sub-district, to analyze the level of industrial business sustainability in Mojolaban sub-district, to analyze the industrial business sustainability strategy in Mojolaban sub-district. This research method uses a qualitative deductive method using a field survey. The population and the number of samples used are 80 people consisting of tile MSME, brick MSME, fish MSME, and alcohol MSME. Data collection uses primary and secondary data. Primary data consists of surveys and interviews, while secondary data is obtained from government agencies, published journals, the internet, and from existing research. The analytical method used is spatial analysis and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of this study indicate that the distribution pattern of the tile, brick, and alcohol MSME businesses has a clustered distribution pattern, while the fish MSME business has a random pattern. The level of sustainability of the roof tile MSME business is 56.35%, the brick MSME business continues at 58.3%, and the fish and alcohol MSME business shows 100% continuous. The strategy for the sustainability of the title MSME business is to improve the quality of production, increase the amount of production and maintain good production quality. The strategy carried out by the alcohol MSME business is to maintain the quality of production. Meanwhile, the fish and brick MSME business strategy is carried out by increasing the number of workers and the quality of production.
