<![CDATA[Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk “Meningkatkan Kemampuan Memahami Bacaan Menggunakan Metode Reciprocal Learning pada Siswa Kelas X SMAN 10 Pontianak. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskriptif, bentuk penelitian kualitatif. Rancangan penelitian yaitu penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri atas dua siklus. Tiap siklus terdiri atas perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah guru, siswa, dan dokumen. Data diambil melalui observasi dan tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan guru dalam merencanakan dan melaksanakan pembelajaran dan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Nilai yang diperoleh guru dalam merencanakan pembelajaran siklus I adalah 78,4 dan siklus II 81,6. Sedangkan nilai yang diperoleh guru dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran siklus I adalah 76 dan siklus II adalah 78,4. Peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dapat dilihat dari nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh siswa pada tiap siklus. Nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh pada siklus I adalah 69,28 dan siklus II adalah 78,5. Kata Kunci : Kemampuan, memahami bacaaan, dan metode reciprocal learning. Abstract: The goal of this research is to improve the students’ reading ability through The Reciprocal Learning Method of X Grade Students of SMAN 10 Pontianak. The method of this research was descriptive, form of research was qualitative and in analyzing data quantitative form was used to showed students’ score tables and students’ achievement charts. The research design was classroom action research. The research was done in two cycles. Every cycle consist of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting stages. Data resources were from teacher, students, and documents. The data were taken from observation and test.The results of this research showed the improvement of teacher’s ability in planning and acting the learning process. The improvement also showed in students’ ability during the learning process and achievement in every cycle. The score gained by teacher in planning the learning process cycle I was 78,4 and cycle II was 81,6. Meanwhile the score gained by teacher in acting the learning process cycle I was 76 and cycle II was 81,5. From the achievement aspect, the improvement could be shown from students’ achievement of every cycle. Mean score of cycle I was 69,28 and mean score of cycle II was 78,5.
