Abstract

Dye-Sensitized Solar Cell (DSSC) is a solar cell unit that work based on electrochemical principle which convert the sun radiation into electricity. DSSC uses TiO2 semiconductor material for coating with spin coating method. The purpose of this research is to make a DSSC prototype using of Malabar melastome fruit (Melastoma Malabathricum L.) as dye and also to observe the impact of water’s volume and soaking duration of TiO2 coating on the produced voltage. The DSSC is constructed with a layering system (sandwich) which consists of working electrode and counter electrode. The working electrode is made by using FTO glass (2.5 x 2.5 cm2) which is coated with TiO2 paste that made by mixing 0.5 gram TiO2 powder in 4 ml ethan ol (1:8). The electrode is sintered under temperature in 350oC for 15 minutes and then soaked in dye liquid with volume of solvent fraction in dye dilution which are ; without dilution (100%); diluted once (50%); and diluted twice (25%) for about 10 minutes, 2 hours and 24 hours. This electrode is then given two droplets of 0.05 M electrolyte. After that the counter electrode is made by using FTO glass coated with carbon from candle’s fire. The fabrication of DSSC is done by sticking both of the FTO glasses up. Melastome Malabar extract as dye is shown to contain anthocyanin, proven with a maximum wavelength of 515 nm. DSSC prototype generated by variation of 24 hours dye soaking duration and without dilution (100%) gave the highest voltage with the solar energy-to-electricity conversion of 1.026 volt/cm2 and when illuminated with LED lamp gave 0.595 volt/cm2. The morphology of TiO2 layer show a porous surface that is conducive to the absorption of dye. The level of adhesion obtained from the best samples showed good adhesion qualities (3B)Keywords: DSSC, LED, melastome malabar l, sunlight, voltage

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to evaluate the quality of items in retention and transfer tests related to additive and addictive substances. Using Rasch modeling, the study seeks to enhance the management of learning evaluations and improve our understanding of student abilities and question quality. Methodology: The research utilizes the Rasch Model to analyze retention and transfer test instruments on science topics involving additives and addictive substances. Conducted with Winstep software, the analysis focuses on the performance of 92 purposively sampled 8th-grade students during their first semester of junior high school. The study examines retention and transfer abilities, comprehensively evaluating the test items. Main Findings: The Winstep program analysis reveals that, according to the Rasch model, the average ± MNSQ Outfit values for both items and persons are 0.92. The Outfit ZSTD values for items and persons are -0.12 and -0.01, respectively. The instrument's reliability, measured by Cronbach's alpha, is 0.60, indicating moderate reliability. The research findings demonstrate that each item in the instrument is valid and reasonably reliable, with all 20 items deemed suitable for assessing student performance in retention and transfer tests. Novelty/Originality of this study: This study offers a detailed examination of retention and transfer test instruments' quality using the Rasch Model, providing valuable insights for enhancing the accuracy and reliability of these assessment tools. The research significantly improves educational assessments in science education, particularly in evaluating students' understanding of additives and addictive substances.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine community participation in the BSPS program through self-help efforts to create livable houses in Pucangombo Village. The research in this journal article applies a qualitative descriptive method because it is considered that it is easy to find information that can be accessed starting from time constraints, as well as the place to conduct research. Population growth tends to increase every year, conditions like this will result in various problems such as increasing housing needs, poverty rates, and slum areas. The Directorate General of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing as the organizer of government affairs issued a breakthrough program in the form of Self-Help Housing Stimulant Assistance which aims to improve decent housing that is healthy, safe, harmonious, orderly and sustainable for people with low incomes supported also by community participation through self-help forms . In this activity, community participation is categorized as enthusiastic, which can be seen from the optimal source of funds by looking at the form of self-help they have. So that the gains from the BSPS program are reducing inadequate housing and increasing the quality of community housing. Keywords: BSPS, livable houses, nongovernmental

Abstract

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the results of applying learning material about flat shapes in Mathematics for class IV students using the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model. The method used in this research uses descriptive qualitative methods. In its implementation, it uses interview guidelines and observation sheets to see the learning process in class IVB. The research sample was all 28 class IVB students. The results of this research indicate that the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model is appropriate to be applied in flat shape material in Mathematics subjects. It can be concluded that the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model can increase students' creativity. The PjBL learning model is an alternative that teachers can use in learning to train students to learn using project assignments, so that students can design projects well as solutions to problems that will be resolved.
