Abstract

Nursing transfer is one of the competencies that nursing students must master. This competence can be achieved through a learning process with various media. The use of audio-visual media can make the delivery of information more real than module media. This study aims to determine the difference in the effectiveness of audio-visual media and modules on increasing the knowledge and skills of undergraduate nursing students in carrying out bed transfer. This study used a quantitative method with a quasy experimental design with pretest and posttest design with two comparison treatments. The research sample was 68 respondents who were taken simple randomly by drawing the respondent's name. The analysis used was univariate analysis and bivariate analysis using the T test. Results: There was an increase in the average knowledge of students after being given audio-visual learning of 7.73 and p value 0.000 (p <0.05) and in the module group of 6, 38 and p value 0.002 (p <0.05). There was an increase in the average score of knowledge which was higher in the audio visual group than in the module by 1.706 and a p value of 0.501. Meanwhile, for skills there was an increase in the average skills of students after being given learning through audio-visual of 10.29 and p value of 0.000 (p <0.05) and in the module group of 8.59 and p value of 0.000 (p <0.05). ). There was an increase in the average score of skills that was higher in the audio visual group than in the module of 1.853 and a p value of 0.021. Audio-visual media has a higher influence on students' knowledge and skills in carrying out bed transfer. Keywords: audio visual, module, bed transfer, instructional media

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disease characterized by high blood sugar levels. Type 2 DM is the most common.The reason is due to an unhealthy lifestyle, several attempts to reduce trigger factors such as regulating diet, weight control, exercising, monitoring blood sugar, directed diet, healthy and balanced nutrition. In addition, family support also affects the quality of life of DM patients. The purpose of this study was to describe the pattern of life (diet, physical activity) and family support in patients with type 2 diabetes. This research method used descriptive analytic with cross sectional design. Thesample of this study was 131 patients who were taken based on the inclusion criteria using purposive sampling. Results: Most patients were aged 56-65 years (36.6%) and mostly suffered by men (52.7%), respondents who experienced complications (91.6%) and most suffered by men (99, 9%) while the type of complication is numbness (peripheral nephropathy) (69.5%). The patient's lifestyle showed a good lifestyle (81.7) and family support showed good family support (98.5). Conclusion: A good lifestyle can also be influenced by good family support so that it makes sufferers more enthusiastic to apply healthy patterns in daily life.

Abstract

Online learning causes academic stress. Academic stress occurs due to not achieving adjustments and failure to face academic demands. Unresolved academic stress can affect thoughts, feelings, physical and behavior. Academic stress can be reduced by the presence of peer social support. This study was aimed to examine the relationship between peer social support and the academic stress of online learning. This study was aimed to examine the relationship between peer social support and the academic stress of online learning. The study used Correlation descriptive design with cross sectional approach. The study was conducted at the Faculty of Nursing, University of Riau with a sample of 213 respondents by using proportionate stratified random sampling. The measuring instrument used is a questionnaire of academic stress and social support modified by the researcher with a validity range of 0.458-0.802 and 0.461-0.574. The analysis used univariate analysis and bivariate analysis. The results showed that majority of respondents were female, namely 200 (93.3%), aged 20 years were 77 (36.2%) and from batch A 2020 is 75 (35.2%). The Majority of respondents who received high peer social support experienced heavy online learning academic stress levels as much as 35 (28.7%) and moderate academic stress as many as 87 (71.3%). Statistical test results obtained p value = 0.020 < (0.05) meaning Ho is rejected The conclusion of the study is that There was a relationship between peer social support and academic stress of online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic.
