Abstract

The more younger lecturers among young students, the more they would like to approach them, either during lecture or outside the class. The approach might make the relationship between lecturers and students closer and more emotional. However, it could seem less politeness which students have. This can be seen from the way and the language use through text messages on social medias, particularly on WhatsApp. This research aims to find out the variety of the students' politeness when having interaction with lecturers trough short message on WhatsApp by describing the students' language politeness, the principles of the deviation in politeness, the obedience and the function of the language politeness itself in the relationship between students and lecturers of Universitas Bina Sarana Informatika. Primary data in this research is written conversation records, especially screen shots of chats on WhatsApp. Secondary data is the  knowledge of Pragmatic Studies of Bahasa Indonesia including the theories regarding language politeness principles in order to impact to the characters of the nation's next generation. The method used in this research is pragmatic studies, in particular with pragmatic and contextual equivalents.

Abstract

Pendekatan kualitatif merupakan pendekatan yang dipilih dalam penelitian ini Adapun maksud dari pemilihan pendekatan ini, agar peneliti dapat memahami suatu fenomena maupun kejadian yang dialami oleh subjek penelitian dalam hal ini ditinjau dari segi anggapan, motivasi mupun tindakan dengan cara mendeskripsikan kata-kata yang diungkapkan oleh subjek. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan penggunaan aplikasi Mybest sebagai media pembelajaran dalam mata kuliah Bahasa Indonesia melalui persepsi subjek. Masalah yang melatarbelakangi penelitian ini adalah karena mahasiswa mengganggap mata kuliah Bahasa Indonesia merupakan mata kuliah yang tidak menantang. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini mendeskripsikan mengenai bagaimana penggunaan aplikasi tersebut dapat membantu pembelajaran dalam mata kuliah Bahasa Indonesia. Hasil temuan dan pembahasan menunjukan bahwa penggunaan aplikasi Mybest efektif digunakan dalam mata kuliah Bahasa Indonesia. Kata kunci : Mybest, Media Pembelajaran dan Bahasa Indonesia

Abstract

Ulasan ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan jenis-jenis kesalahan penulisan berbahasa mahasiswa yang sering dilakukan. Strategi yang menarik untuk dianalisis adalah teknik yang digunakan dalam tinjauan ini. Data penelitian yang diambil ialah teks esai mahasiswa yang dibuat mahasiswa berdasarkan pengetahuannya mengenai pajak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya kesalahan berbahasa kategori error. Penemuan-penemuan ini menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan mahasiswa Program Studi Pelaksana Bisnis dalam menguasai Ejaan Bahasa Indonesia sebenarnya perlu ditingkatkan. Konsekuensi dari pemeriksaan kesalahan bahasa dalam ulasan ini dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan tayangan untuk pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia, khususnya materi ejaan bahasa Indonesia.Kata Kunci: kesalahan berbahasa Indonesia, esai, mahasiswa

Abstract

Social status connects the concept of habitus that occurs from one's life experience which is located in a realm to create relationships between various positions or classes. Thus, the purpose of this research is to produce a new perspective in distinguishing culture and rational thinking in terms of gender and feminism contained in the socio-cultural arena of Balinese women who are still experiencing gender class injustice. This research is a qualitative descriptive study to describe the perspective of habitus and social culture arena in the novel Tempurung by Oka Rusmini. Data obtained through library techniques. The results of this study indicate that there are changes in habitus that take place irrationally, so that it seems to impose and cause acts of violence that cause discrimination from several figures who consciously or not do actions that can marginalize other characters. This research contributes to the science of literary sociology of thought by Pierre Bourdeu and feminist literary criticism.

Abstract

Mengenali diri sendiri sama seperti proses pencarian jati diri. Setiap individu pasti melewati berbagai hal yang dapat menentukan seperti apa dan bagaimana cara mereka hidup. Kemudian, dari sana mereka akan dapat memahami dirinya. Bisa saja perjalanan hidup yang membuatnya menjadi dewasa dan bijaksana sebelum waktunya, adapula yang matang dalam segi usia tetapi belum matang dari segi pemikiran dan implementasi kehidupan. Hal inilah yang membuat individu menjadi terombang ambing. Seolah ia sudah paham akan dirinya padahal ia hanya selalu bertahan pada zona nyamannya. Dengan demikian, karakter yang melekat dalam dirinya menjadi tidak kuat. Mudah goyah, selalu terbawa arus yang mungkin saja sebetulnya tidak dia harapkan. Maka, perlu adanya pembentukan karakter dengan mengenali diri sendiri agar dapat menemukan jati diri yang sesungguhnya. Karena memahami diri sendiri adalah pembentukan karakter yang sesungguhnya. Penelitian ini berbasis kualitatif deskripsi dengan menggunakan metode kepustakaan, studi kasus dan survei. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa pembentukan karakter sangat dipengaruhi oleh proses mengenali diri sendiri. Karena keduanya sama-sama perlu dibangun dan dikembangkan untuk mencapai jati diri yang berkualitas.Kata Kunci: pembentukan karakter, mengenal diri sendiri, hidup berkualitas

Abstract

Character education aims to develop children's habits and behavior that are commendable and in line with universal values ​​and religious national cultural traditions. If efforts to trap these characters are not accompanied by parental supervision of things or information that children get through social media, then it can have an impact on the habits and behavior of children at a later age if too many negative thinking concepts are obtained when accessing social media. These impacts not only affect children's behavior, but also children's language and communication skills. Thus this research is expected to be able to give a stigma to readers about how dangerous negative comments are for early childhood. This study uses a qualitative approach. The method used is narrative content analysis through several stages, including observation, literature study, and documentation. The research results are presented in the form of a qualitative description. The results of the study show the impact of negative comments on the character development of early childhood.

Abstract

In rural Indonesia the implementation of transformative education policies is essential for bridging the gap between theoretical frameworks and practical application. This study examines the challenges and successes associated with deploying these policies in rural settings, focusing on how they impact educational outcomes and community development. Using a mixed-methods approach, the research includes qualitative interviews with educators and policymakers, as well as quantitative analysis of educational performance data. The findings reveal significant barriers such as inadequate infrastructure, limited access to professional development, and socio-economic disparities. However, the study also highlights successful strategies that have been employed to overcome these challenges, including community involvement and context-specific adaptations. The results underscore the importance of tailored policy interventions that consider the unique needs of rural communities. This paper aims to provide actionable insights for policymakers and educators to enhance the effectiveness of education reforms in rural Indonesia.
