Abstract

The need for implants increases with the high number of fracture sufferers resulting from accidents both on the road and workplace accidents. Bioceramics is a ceramic product or component used in the medical and dental industry, especially as an implant or organ replacement. Hydroxyapatite is one type of bioceramics that is widely used because it has osteoconductive properties (can stimulate bone growth), bioactive and biocompatible. This study aims to find the optimal temperature of the calcination process of duck egg shells and quails as the basic ingredients of HAp. The research method is calcination of duck eggshells then the optimum temperature produces the best CaO. The calcination results obtained that the optimum temperature of calcination of duck eggshells and quail eggs was 1000oC for 6 hours. The results obtained are CaO with clean white color powder and fine grain size. Keywords : Quail eggshell, calcination, dugg egg shell

Abstract

The purpose of the research in this article is to develop a student self-assessment instrument in learning biology. In addition, to determine the correlation of the results of the assessment conducted by the teacher and self-assessment by students. The method used is Research and Development (R & D) with a trial class, namely XI MIPA 2 SMA N 103 Jakarta. The Self-Assessment Instrument for Measuring Student Attitudes and Activities consists of (A) Cover, (B) Introduction Page, Table of Contents, and Guide Information, (C) Introduction, (D) Questions and Answer Sheets, (E) Score Calculations, (F) Closing and Bibliography. The questions consist of 19 questions using a rating scale with indicators: Spiritual Attitude, Honesty, Discipline, Responsibility, Tolerance, Environmental Care, Curiosity Attitude, Critical Thinking Attitude, Perseverance, Thoroughness, Cooperation, Creativity, Observing, Interpreting and Associating, Asking a question, Formulating tentative hypotheses or conjectures, Using tools and materials/performing scientific activities, Applying concepts, and Communicating. Based on the Spearman Rank Correlation Test, there is no match (correlation) between raters X (students) and raters Y (teachers). However, students stated that it was effective as a form of self-reflection

Abstract

The aims of this research include: 1) to describe the external factors of Class XI MIPA students at SMA Negeri 37 Jakarta; and 2) to analyze the relationship of students' external factors to the learning outcomes of Biology Class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 37 Jakarta. The survey method was used in this study. The questionnaire was given to 148 respondents and was declared valid. The dominant external factors in class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 37 Jakarta sequentially are family environment factors > school environmental factors = parental education environment = friends factor > community environmental factors = time factor. The value of student learning outcomes in class XI MIPA SMAN 37 is above the KKM with an average of 76.13. There is a positive relationship/correlation between external factors and Biology learning outcomes for students of class XI MIPA SMAN 37 Jakarta. The very low correlation coefficient may be caused by other external factors, including zoom fatigue, limited network/signal, and limited internet quota owned by students.
