Abstract

In Indonesia, English is a foreign language to be studied both at school institutions and not. In practice students and teachers still face many obstacles in the learning process, especially in English proficiency. Various responses can be found in class related to these problems, especially on students' language difficulties, students' attitudes during the learning process. With these problems student learning outcomes, and participation in carrying out learning activities and groups are less effective. So that in conversation material students have not shown maximum seriousness and learning outcomes. This study aims to describe the difficulties faced by students in learning English and the causal factors related to student conversations. This study used a qualitative approach with interview instruments, journal literature, and analyzing student learning outcomes. Analysis of research data was carried out in three ways, namely interviews, reviewing journals, drawing conclusions and verifying student learning outcomes. The results showed that the research subjects had difficulty learning English in various conversation materials. This occurs as a result of different levels of English mastery and learning outcomes according to assessment standards.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way universities learn. Teaching and learning activities that usually take place face-to-face have evolved into virtual meetings in various online learning applications. This paper aims to analyze the resilience of students in handling online English courses from a perspective or from the perspective of coping with online learning challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic. This document collects 20 students who are actively participating in online learning activities as an example for the "Teaching English as a Foreign Language" course. Online learning offers a variety of teacher-led instruction. Instructions can be synchronous (communications where participants interact simultaneously, such as video conferencing, Zoom, Google Meet, and WebEx) or asynchronous (time-separated communications, such as email, Google Forms, streaming video content, posting handouts) and social media platforms). This study adopts a qualitative method. The researchers collected, read and highlighted each student's responses that were deemed relevant to the analysis. This article gives many answers to the challenges students face in online learning such as: skills, finding online learning media.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis simbol-simbol nilai Kebhinnekatunggalikaan dan penghayatan terhadap nilai Pancasila pada ekosistem SDN 004/IV Kota Jambi sebagai penguatan identitas manusia Indonesia. Penelitian yang dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi dokumen dan observasi. Objek yang digunakan adalah simbol-simbol nilai Kebhinekatunggalikaan dan kegiatan penghayatan nilai Pancasila di SDN 004/IV Kota Jambi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian telah menunjukkan identitas manusia Indonesia yang ditandai simbol-simbol penghayatan terhadap nilai Kebhinekatunggalikaan di ruang kelas. Serta penghayatan nilai Pancasila dicerminkan pada setiap kegiatan di sekolah dan perilaku peserta didik yang ditunjukkan.
