Abstract

The under five children age is a nutritionally vulnerable group, therefore they require treatment including physical care with the provision of nutritious food especially from the father and mother. The purpose of this research is to know the involvement of father in giving nutritious food to under five children Mojokerto District. The research design is descriptive. The population is all fathers who have under five children as many as 38 people, taken entirely as a sample by using total sampling. The research variable is father's involvement in giving nutritious food to children. Data analysis using percentage. The results showed that most of father's involvement in nutritious food feeding on under-five children is not good as much as 23 people (60,5%). This is motivated by the status of the father who worked as an entrepreneur or not working, elementary education, 36-60 month old childrren and male sex, and working mothers.Time-consuming job as an entrepreneur plus a basic education leads children to may be financially fulfilled but less good in emotional and behaviour involvement. Moreover, the status of unemployment and basic education leads to poor financial and emotional support and behavior. 36-60 months of age and male sex is an active children and tend to be closer to the mother so the father is less involved. Similarly, the status of working mothers does not make the father more involved, because the father tends to require him to work that sacrifice togetherness with children.

Abstract

Hospitalization is an experience that produces every child who has physical and psychological effects as a result of the environment, and officers they do not know. Therefore the effort that can be done by nurses is to provide distraction therapy with playdough. The study aimed to prove the effect of treatment on Playdough play on anxiety in preschoolers because of hospitalization in the Kertawijaya Room Dr. Wahidin Sudiro Husodo Mojokerto. The design of this study uses pre-experiment with one group pretest approach. The population in this study were all preschool children who were in hospital treatment in the first week of October 2018. Samples were 20 children, with consecutive sampling. Playdough therapy for 20 children. Data collection used a mYPAS (Modified Yale Preoperative Anxiety Scale) questionnaire. After that, the data processing with Wilcoxon signed test was 0.00 which was <0.05, As for the conclusions in this study there is a therapeutic effect of playing plasticine on children's anxiety with hospitalization. The value of preschool children's anxiety before being given play therapy is the majority of respondents 13 respondents (65%) experienced moderate anxiety and And a small proportion of respondents experienced severe anxiety as many as 5 respondents (25%). The value of anxiety after being given play therapy most of the respondents experienced a decrease in anxiety as many as 12 respondents (60%) experienced mild anxiety and almost half of the respondents were 8 respondents (40%). Stress will stimulate the body to send messages from the hypothalamus to the adrenal gland which will affect vasodilation and vasoconstriction of blood vessels that will determine the increase or decrease in blood pressure which is one of the physiological characteristics of the body when experiencing anxiety.

Abstract

Education should be able to form graduate competencies in accordance with community needs. The quality of midwives in Indonesia is still low, this is indicated by the passing of the competency test which tends to be volatile (RistekDikti, 2016). During this time the learning aspects are given fragmented and separate. Learning models are needed in accordance with the needs of the community, integrating all aspects related to community values and are dynamic according to the needs of the community. The purpose of this study was to find the effect of CoC learning methods on improving cognitive, affective and psychomotor midwifery students. This study used "quasi-experimental non-equivalent pre-post test randomized intervention studies". Each student was assessed on affective, cognitive, and psychomotor aspects in the implementation of midwifery care in the 5th semester before and after the implementation of CoC, Each midwifery student carries out CoC care for a participant. The results of the multivariate analysis using the Wilks' Lambda test showed that the greatest effect of time effect on affective variables was shown by the results of Partial Eta Squared 0.982, meaning that time could explain 98.2% of the variance in the multivariate value. It means that this learning method is proven to improve student learning experiences. Keywords: Clinical Learning, CoC, Cognitive, Affective, Psychomoto

Abstract

Abstract

Student activity in the learning process in the classroom sits more. Sitting long could limit blood and incoming oxygen to the brain so which affects concentration. So, therefore stretching is needed. The purpose of this research was to prove the stretching effect on student learning concentration. The design of this research used a pretest-posttest-only control group design. The population in this research were all students of class II D3 nursing STIKES Bina Sehat PPNI Mojokerto as 79 respondents. The sample of this research were all students of class II D3 nursing STIKES Bina Sehat PPNI Mojokerto 39 respondents in the experimental group and 40 respondents in a control group, with a total sampling technique. The instrument used is a questionnaire for learning concentration with test results 100% valid and reliable with = 0.881. This research was at STIKES Bina Sehat PPNI Mojokerto in Januari 2022. Data analysis using Wilcoxon signed rank test to judge the difference before and after stretching. Mann Whitney test for assessing differences in the learning concentration of the control group and experiment group with a = 0.05. The research results show, in experimental groups 20 (51%) respondents had high learning concentration before stretching and 38 (97%) respondents after stretching. Statistical Wilcoxon sign rank test results ρ = 0.00 which means that there is a stretching effect on student learning concentration. Statistical Mann-Whitney test results ρ = 0.00 means that there are differences in learning concentration in the control and experimental groups. Stretching makes the blood vessels in the muscles experience vasodilation, this makes blood flow smoother so that the muscles will also move to pump blood and oxygen to the brain which can increase learning concentration.
