Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of education and the level of wages to level of labor force participation in Pekanbaru by gender. The data used in this study uses primary data. Primary data were obtained using a questionnaire, with a labor force participation of 494,362 people, with a men labor force of 292,569 people (60%) and women of 194,793 people (40%). Samples were taken randomly based on the Slovin formula which involved 100 respondents consisting of 60 male laborforce and 40 female laborforce.This research uses descriptive and quantitative research types. The analytical method used is multiple linear analysis. Based on the results of the study, the level of education does not affect the level of male labor force participation and the level of wages partially affects the level of male labor force participation. The level of wage is the most dominant variable effects the level of male labor force participation. The level of education partially affects the level of female labor force participation and the level of wages does not affects the level of female labor force participation in Pekanbaru. The level of education is the most dominant variable effects the level of female labor force participation.Keywords: level of labor force participation, level of education, level of wage

Abstract

Skin crackers are one of the processed food industries that are quite popular in the community. Apart from cultural factors, the majority of the population likes skin crackers, another factor is the existence of cowhide waste in the Slaughterhouse which is the main ingredient for abundant skin crackers and facilitates the production of crackers. leather in Pekanbaru City. In analyzing the number of requests for skin crackers in Pekanbaru City, there are many factors that influence the demand. In this study, there are 3 factors that become independent variables in the analysis of the demand for skin crackers in Pekanbaru City, including income (X1), taste (X2), and the price of skin crackers (X3). Meanwhile, the dependent variable is demand (Y). The method used is multiple linear regression analysis, namely the partial regression test (t test), simultaneous coefficient test (F test) and the coefficient of determination (R2). The results of this study are based on statistical testing of the partial regression equation, namely the independent variable income (X1), taste (X2) and price (X3) have a significant effect on the dependent variable, namely the demand for skin crackers in Pekanbaru City. Based on the regression equation simultaneously, it shows that income, taste and price have a significant effect on the demand for skin crackers. Meanwhile, based on the coefficient of determination (R2) shows that the independent variable has an effect of 71.1% on the demand for skin crackers, the remaining 28.9% is influenced by other variables not included in this regression model.Keywords: Demand, Income, Taste, Price

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of village funds on poverty levels in districts / cities of Riau Province in 2015-2019 and to determine which districts are the most sensitive to village funds. This study uses secondary data in the form of panel data, namely 2015-2019 village funds and 2015-2019 poverty levels in Riau Province. Village fund data is obtained from DJPK.KEMENKEU, while poverty levels are obtained from the Central Statistics Agency of Riau Province 2015-2019. The analytical tools used in this research are SPSS and Elasticity. The results of this study indicate that partially the variable of the amount of village funds has a positive but insignificant effect on the poverty level in Riau Province in 2015-2019. This means that the greater the village funds provided, it actually increases the number of poor people in Riau Province, but the increase is not significant.Keywords: Village Fund and Poverty Level

Abstract

This study aims to determine the employment in the city of Dumai which is influenced by economic growth and minimum wages. This study uses multiple linear regression analysis which is assisted by analysis tools, namely the SPSS version 25 program. The independent variables in this study are Economic Growth (X1) and Minimum Wage (X2), while the dependent variable in this study is Labor Absorption (Y). . The results of this study indicate that economic growth has no effect on employment in Dumai City. The minimum wage has a positive effect on employment in Dumai City. And the results of this test are in accordance with the hypothesis that the author has set, which states that the minimum wage has a positive and significant effect on labor absorption.Keywords: Economic Growth, Minimum Wages, Labor Absorption

Abstract

Abstract

This research was conducted in Kuok Subdistrict, Kampar Regency, with the aim of knowing how the strategy of Kuok orange farmers in increasing their income. The population in this study were all orange farmers in Kuok District, amounting to 250 people. While the sampling was carried out using the Slovin formula, namely the total sample size of 71 samples by proportional random sampling from each village in the Kuok sub-district, namely 13 villages. The data analysis method used is descriptive qualitative analysis method, and SWOT analysis, namely data obtained from a study. The result of this research is the farmers' strategy in increasing income is by doing side jobs and providing counseling from the government so that farmers know how to do citrus farming properly.Keywords: Strategy, and Orange Farming Busines

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Social, Economic, and Demographic Variables on Reflective Mobility to Pekanbaru City. This research was conducted in Pekanbaru City, to people who do shuttle mobility or commuting to Pekanbaru on the same day. The research method used is descriptive quantitative research method. The object this research is people who do reflective mobility in Pekanbaru on the same day. The population in this study amounted to 5572 people. While samples taken were 98 people used probability sampling and data collection methods using questionnaire. The results of this study indicate that 1) social variables consisting of education level, economic variables consisting of monthly income and marital status have significant effect on reflective mobility in the city of Pekanbaru. while demographic variables consisting of the number of dependents has no significant effect on reflective mobility in the city of Pekanbaru.Keywords: Social, Economic, Demographic, and Return Mobility Variables in Pekanbaru City
