The study design was cross-sectional with a consecutive sampling technique. This study was conducted in the I inpatient room at the RSUD. Prof. Dr. W.Z. Johannes Kupang. The number of respondents in this study was 50 patients. The statistical test used is chi-square. 25 patients with breast cancer in inpatient room who experienced negative self-concept, most of the breast cancer patients experienced moderate self-acceptance as many as 26 people, statistical test results obtained p-value 0,01. There is a relationship between self-concept and self-acceptance of breast cancer patients indicated by a p-value<0,05.

Abstract

Stunting is a form of growth disorder in infancy and childhood is also a sign of chronic malnutrition (long time) which adversely affects the growth and development of children Stunting or often called stunting is a condition of failure to thrive in children aged under five years (toddlers). This study aims to determine the factors associated with the incidence of stunting in children under five in the Alak Health Center Work Area. This study is an observational study with a case control research design. In case-control studies, observations or measurements of independent variables and dependent variables are not carried out at the same time. The study began by measuring the dependent variable, namely the effect, while the independent variables were searched retrospectively. From the results of the Fisher Exact Test, it was found that there was a relationship between breastfeeding history factors p = 0.000 (p < 0.05), Economic Status p = 0.000 (p < 0.05), Birth Distance p = 0.000 (p < 0 0,05), LBW p=0,000 (p<0,05), Anemia in Mother p=0,000 (p<0,05), Hygiene and Sanitation p=0,000 (p<0,05) with stunting incidence. Meanwhile, there is no relationship between genetic factors p=0.090 (p>0.05) and the incidence of stunting. The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between the history of breastfeeding, economic status, birth distance, history of low birth weight, maternal anemia, hygiene and environmental sanitation with the incidence of stunting. And there is no relationship between genetic factors and the incidence of stunting in the Alak Health Center Work Area.

Results: Based on the results of research before being given progressive muscle relaxation exercises on blood pressure in elderly people with hypertension, thirty theree respondents were not hypertensive and twelve respondents were not hypertensive, after being given progressive muscle relaxation exercises, a small number of respondents were hypertensive, twelve respondents using statistical tests to obtain the ρ-value=0.000<0.05 then Hl is accepted Conclusion: There is an effect of progressive muscle relaxation exercises on blood pressure in the elderly at the Kayang health center. It is hoped that progressive muscle relaxation exercises will become one of the routine activities to control blood pressure in elderly people with hypertension.

Abstract

One of the main causes of patient safety problems is the non-optimal implementation of effective communication SOPs by nurses. Whereas, the room head as a first line manager has an important role in implementing effective communication through a transformational leadership style. This study aimed to analyze the influence of transformational leadership training for room heads on the implementation of effective communication by nurses. This research used a pre-experimental design with a one group pretest post-test design approach. The sample size in the study was 197 nurses who were selected by a non-probability sampling technique, namely convenience sampling. A questionnaire consisting of 20 questions was used to measure nurses' perceptions of transformational leadership style in implementing effective communication. The test used in this research used the Wilcoxon test. The Wilcoxon test results showed a significant difference in the implementation of effective communication before and after transformational leadership training (p value <0.001). There is an influence of transformational leadership training for room heads on the implementation of effective communication by nurses. Transformational leadership style can be applied to minimize errors in the implementation of effective communication SOP.
