Abstract

Abstact: Hypertension is one of the non-communicable diseases that can cause death.Management of hypertension can be done by pharmacological and non-pharmacologicaltherapy. Compliance underwent management of hypertension is important to do such as notsmoking, drinking alcohol, physical activity, food arrangements, disease care as well astreatment to cure hypertension. Nurses have an educator role to assist clients in getting to knowhealth. The purpose of the study to know association of nurse role as educator with complianceof management of hypertension in Puskesmas Tahuna Timur. The research design isquantitative analytic with cross sectional method design. Samples is 103 responders. The dataobtained were processed by Chi-square test with degree of significance (α) = 0,05. The resultwas found the majority of 46-70 years old as many as 89 respondents (86.4%), female sex asmuch 65 respondents (63.1%). The role of nurse as educator is categorized as good as 77respondents (74,8%) and less good counted 26 respondents (25,2%). Compliance ofhypertension management was categorized as dutiful as 97 respondents (94.2%) and did notcomply with 6 respondents (5.8%). Conclusion there is no association of role of nurse aseducator with compliance of management hypertension.Keywords :Role as educator, compliance, management hypertension.Abstrak : Hipertensi merupakan salah satu penyakit tidak menular yang dapat menyebabkankematian. Penatalaksanaan hipertensi dapat dilakukan dengan cara terapi farmakologi dan nonfarmakologi. Kepatuhan menjalani penatalaksanaan hipertensi penting untuk dilakukan sepertitidak merokok, minum alkohol, aktivitas fisik, pengaturan makanan, perawatan penyakit sertapengobatan untuk menyembuhkan hipertensi. Perawat memiliki peran sebagai edukator untukmembantu klien dalam mengenal kesehatan. Tujuan penelitian mengetahui hubungan peranperawat sebagai edukator dengan kepatuhan penatalaksanaan hipertensi di Puskesmas TahunaTimur. Desain penelitian adalah kuantitatif analitik dengan rancangan metode cross sectional.Jumlah sampel sebanyak 103 respoden. Data yang diperoleh diolah dengan menggunakan ujiChi-square dengan derajat kemaknaan (α)=0,05. Hasil didapatkan peran perawat sebagaiedukator dikategorikan baik sebanyak 77 responden (74,8%) dan kurang baik sebanyak 26responden (25,2%). Kepatuhan penatalaksanaan hipertensi dikategorikan patuh sebanyak 97responden (94,2%) dan tidak patuh sebanyak 6 responden (5,8%). Kesimpulan tidak adahubungan peran perawat sebagai edukator dengan kepatuhan penatalaksanaan hipertensi.Kata kunci: Peran perawat, edukator, penatalaksanaan hipertensi.
