Abstract

Community service activities were carried out in Tanggeran Village, Sruweng District, Kebumen Regency. This activity was carried out to increase public knowledge of the cultivation of red ginger plants and maximize village business funds in Kebumen Regency. The choice of red ginger is because this medicinal and herbal plant has a high economic value compared to other types of ginger. The methods used in this activity were counseling, discussion, and training to transfer knowledge of red ginger cultivation to participants. The participants who participated in this counseling and training were the "Tiara Tani" Women Farmers Group. This community service program consisted of two stages. The first stage included a pre-test, counseling, and post test with red ginger cultivation materials and training on red ginger cultivation techniques, including seed preparation, planting, and plant maintenance. Transferred knowledge to the Tiara Tani group was measured using a pre-test and a post test for 21 participants. The tests result proved an increase in participant knowledge gained from the activities. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan di Desa Tanggeran, Kecamatan Sruweng, Kabupaten Kebumen. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat dalam budidaya tanaman jahe merah, serta untuk memaksimalkan dana usaha desa di Kabupaten Kebumen. Pemilihan jahe merah karena tanaman obat dan herbal ini memiliki nilai ekonomis tinggi dibanding jenis tanaman jahe lainnya. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah penyuluhan, diskusi dan pelatihan sebagai upaya transfer ilmu budidaya jahe merah ke peserta. Peserta yang mengikuti penyuluhan dan pelatihan ini adalah Kelompok Wanita Tani “Tiara Tani”. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini terdiri dari 2 tahapan, yang pertama yaitu pre-test, penyuluhan dan post test dengan materi budidaya jahe merah, dan yang kedua yaitu pelatihan teknik budidaya jahe merah diantaranya penyiapan bibit, penanaman dan pemeliharaan tanaman. Pengetahuan yang didapat dari transfer ilmu kelompok wanita tani Tiara Tani diukur dengan menggunakan pre-test sebelum kegiatan dan post test setelah rangkaian kegiatan selesai dilakukan. Hasil dari pre-test dan post test yang diikuti oleh 21 responden menunjukkan bahwa hasil pre-test tingkat pengetahuan responden tentang jahe merah dan budidayanya sebesar 9 responden (42,86%) yang menjawab benar sedangkan berdasarkan hasil post test sebesar 12 responden (57,14%) yang menjawab benar dengan pertanyaan yang sama seperti pre-test.

Abstract

Peniron Village is one of the villages in Pejagoan District, Kebumen Regency, where most of the people work as farmers. The survey results and observations in the field found that ginger, greater and lesser galangal, cardamom, curcuma, turmeric, lemon grass, betel leaf, moringa leaves, gotu kola or centella, papaya leaves, cogon grass, lime, bitter bean, pandan leaf, and tamarind were planted on house yard, garden, and mountain areas. In carrying out the process of cultivating medicinal plants, it was found that there were several obstacles experienced by farmers. In order to raise awareness of proper cultivating techniques of these traditional medicinal plants, the PPK Team for Ormawa Himagrotek UMNU Kebumen conducted counseling with the theme "Cultivation of Traditional Medicinal Plants". The counseling included the benefits of medicinal plants, the content of medicinal plants, how to cultivate medicinal plants properly, then explanation about medicinal plant-based products. The participants, namely the Conservation Group, were very enthusiastic in participating in material counseling activities on the cultivation of traditional medicinal plants. The average participants’ scores of the pre-test to post-test increased by 1.25% from 60 to 75.5. Desa Peniron merupakan salah satu desa di Kecamatan Pejagoan Kabupaten Kebumen yang masyarakatnya sebagian besar bermata pencaharian sebagai petani. Hasil survey dan observasi di lapangan banyak ditemukan tanaman jahe, kencur, lengkuas, kapulaga, temulawak, kunyit, serai, daun sirih, daun kelor, pegagan, daun pepaya, alang alang, jeruk nipis, petai cina, pandan wangi dan asem jawa yang ditanam di lahan sekitar pekarangan rumah masyarakat, tegalan dan di pegunungan. Dalam melakukan proses budidaya tanaman obat ditemukan adanya beberapa hambatan yang dialami oleh para petani. Dalam rangka menumbuhkan kesadaran budidaya tanaman obat tradional dengan cara yang baik dan benar serta Tim PPK Ormawa Himagrotek UMNU Kebumen melakukan penyuluhan dengan mengangkat tema "Budidaya Tanaman Obat Tradisional secara baik dan benar”. Kegiatan dalam penyuluhan tersebut diisi dengan penyampaian materi tentang macammacam varietas unggul tanaman obat, dari tanaman obat, kandungan dan manfaat dari tanaman obat serta cara budidaya secara baik dan benar, kemudian dipaparkan produk berbasis tanaman obat. Para peserta yakni Kelompok Konservasi sangat antusias dalam mengikuti kegiatan penyuluhan materi tentang budidaya tanaman obat tradisional. Terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan pada peserta penyuluhan setelah diberikan materi sebesar 89% dan nilai rata-rata peserta menjadi 75,5.

Abstract

Demplot dilakukan di Desa Kawedusan Kecamatan Kebumen Kabupaten Kebumen dengan budidaya tanaman padi menggunakan varietas unggul baru Arumba dan sistem tanam Jajar Legowo. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan petani di Desa Kawedusan dalam budidaya padi dengan menggunakan varietas unggul baru dan sistem tanam Jajar Legowo dengan tujuan untuk dapat meningkatkan produksi padi. Varietas beras yang digunakan adalah Arumba yang mempunyai keunggulan yaitu harum, pulen dan berbentuk beras merah. . Varietas padi Arumba dipilih karena memiliki kandungan antosianin dan senyawa fenolik yang tinggi serta bersifat aromatik. Selain itu sistem tanam yang digunakan pada demplot ini adalah genteng, jarwo 2:1, jarwo 3:1, jarwo 3:1 super, jarwo 4:1, dan jarwo 4:1 super. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah penyuluhan dan demonstrasi alur. Narasumber memberikan materi terkait penggunaan varietas unggul dan sistem tanam Jajar Legowo dalam meningkatkan produksi padi kepada anggota Gapoktan Sri Mulyo. Menindaklanjuti hal tersebut, peserta diajak untuk mengikuti panen bersama dan melihat kinerja penanaman padi arumba dengan sistem tanam masing-masing. Hasil dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah para petani peserta lebih memahami tentang budidaya varietas Inpari Arumba dengan sistem tanam Jajar Legowo

Abstract

The community service program contained in this paper aims to educate the community about the importance of medicinal plants, their development, prospects and how to cultivate them on land owned by the community. This community service program was carried out from 31 July to 14 August 2023. This program involved 30 members of the Sumber Rejeki Farmer Group in Peniron Village, Pejagoan District, Kebumen Regency. This community service activity was assisted by the UMNU Kebumen Agrotechnology Student Organization Capacity Strengthening Program (PPK Ormawa) team. Education is carried out by conducting socialization and training on medicinal plant cultivation in farmer groups. This training activity presented information on 1) the development of medicinal plants in Indonesia, 2) prospects for medicinal plants, 3) cultivation of medicinal plants, and 4) introduction of superior varieties of medicinal plants. After the socialization session, discussions and questions and answers were held on the material presented, followed by the practice of cultivating medicinal plants. The enthusiasm of farmer group members can be seen from the many questions in the discussion session and the participation of participants in conducting training on medicinal plant cultivation. The results of the training felt by the community are 1) the land owned by the head of the farmer group has been planted with medicinal plants optimally to improve the economy of the farmer group, 2) the farmer group has new knowledge related to tillage and medicinal plant varieties, and 3) increased awareness of the village government and farmer groups of environmental sustainability by cultivating medicinal plants.

Abstract

Separe Village, Loano District, Purworejo Regency was chosen as a research site to analyze the marketing of brown sugar craftsmen. This study aims to determine the institutions involved and the marketing channels, marketing margins, farmer's share, and the ratio of profits and costs. The results showed that there are 2 types of brown sugar marketing channels in Separe Village, Loano District, Purworejo Regency, namely marketing channel I including craftsmen, retailers, and consumers and marketing channel II including craftsmen, collectors, retailers, and consumers. Marketing channel I has a marketing margin of Rp. 758/kg, farmer's share is 94.77% and the profit and cost ratio is 24.27. Meanwhile, marketing channel II has a marketing margin of Rp. 1258/kg, farmer's share is 91.16% and the profit and cost ratio is 18.35. Both channels are classified as efficient, but the most efficient is marketing channel I. Keywords: farmer's share, marketing margin,, marketing channel, profit ratio

Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the response of ground kale plants to various doses of PO cow manure and the best number of PO cow manure doses for growth and yield of ground kale plants. The research method used was a non-factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) with five levels, namely without cow manure PO 0 tons/ha (control), cow manure concentration PO 10 tons/ha, cow manure concentration PO 20 tons/ha, concentration of cow manure PO 30 tons/ha and concentration of cow manure PO 40 tons/ha. Based on the results of the study, it was shown that the application of various doses of PO cow manure had no significant effect on the growth and yield of ground kale and the best number of PO cow manure doses was seen from the average observation parameter, namely at the concentration of PO cow manure of 20 tons/ha. Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze business feasibility from the financial and non-financial aspects of the CV Gunung Brujul Agung Makmur wedang uwuh business. The data analysis method used is qualitative (legal, marketing, technical, management and human resources and social and environmental aspects) and quantitative to analyze financial aspects through economic feasibility indicators, namely business income, Break Even Point (BEP) units, Break Even Point (BEP) price and Profit and Cost Ratio (R/C). The overall non-financial aspects are decent, except for the management aspects. The management and human resource aspects are not feasible because this business does not have good financial records and does not have an organizational structure. Financial analysis obtained income/year of Rp. 38,784,000 or analysis obtained income/month of Rp 3.232.000. BEP units 5760 pcs with a minimum unit of 121 pcs. BEP price is IDR 17,500 with a minimum price of IDR 12,433/pcs. R/C ratio value 24.2.

Abstract

This research was carried out in Sidobunder Village, Puring District, Kebumen Regency. This research was carried out from December 2023 to January 2024. This study aims to analyze the income and feasibility of the eco-enzyme liquid organic fertilizer business in the Sumber Jaya Farmers Group, Puring District, Kebumen Regency from a financial perspective through the calculation of Break Even Point (BEP), Benefit Cost Ratio (BCR) and Revenue Cost Ratio (R/C). The method used is a survey through observation and direct interviews. The determination of farmers as research respondents was by Purposive Sampling, respondents were taken from 30 farmer members in the Sumber Jaya Farmers Group. This location was chosen because this village is one of the production places for eco-enzyme liquid fertilizers and has the potential for the development of eco-enzyme liquid fertilizers. The data was analyzed using an income analysis model and a financial feasibility analysis. Then the data is tabulated and processed mathematically, through addition, and the averages and percentages are then descriptively described. The results of this study show that the income/year in the Sumber Jaya Farmers Group, Puring District, Kebumen Regency is Rp. 14,447,834 or income/month is Rp. 1,203,986. Based on the feasibility of the eco-enzyme liquid organic fertilizer business in Sumber Jaya Farmers Group, Puring District, Kebumen Regency, it is feasible to be developed financially because of the BEP value of 14,400 bottles with a minimum of 142 bottles. BEP is priced at IDR 10,000 with a minimum price of IDR 8,997/bottle, and an R/C value of 1.11 means that the R/C value is feasible.
