Abstract

This research is a comparison study which intended to know the average ofstudents’ result in learning mathematics taught by using everyone is a teacherhere strategy and taught by using expository on circle subject. The populationof this research is the eight graders in the even semester of SMP Negeri 1Sukoharjo in the academic year 2014-2015. The sample of the research is thestudents of the third grade. Sampling technique this research used clusterrandom sampling technique. The data analysis used t-test the statistics. Basedon the data analyzis it shows that there is an average difference on the resultsof from those who are taught by using expository and average result ofstudents’ who are learning by using Everyone Is A Teacher Her Strategy arebetter than those who are learning by using expository.Keywords : everyone is a teacher here strategy , expository strategy, circle subject

Abstract

Globalisasi merupakan era dimana setiap perguruan tinggi memiliki daya saing yang tinggi. Salah satu aspek yang mampu memberikan konstribusi dalam era tersebut, dalam perguruan tinggi adalah ketika lulusannya memiliki kompetesi yang berkualitas serta mampu bersaing dalam menghadapi tantangan yang semakin ketat. Oleh karena itu, setiap perguruan tinggi harus memiliki kreativitas dan inovasi yang saling mendukung. Sehingga tujuan yang diharapkan akan tercapai. Kata Kunci: Daya Saing, Perguruan Tinggi, Era Globalisasi.

Abstract

The purposes of this research are to reveal: (1) the students‘English achievement; (2) the relationship between students‘ residenceand students‘ English achievement; and (3) the significant relationshipbetween students‘ residence and students‘ English achievement. Theresearchers used correlational research design as the design of thisresearch. The population of this research is 112 students of the tenthgrade of SMAN 1 Silat Hulu and the total number of sample are 60students who are chosen by using stratified sampling technique. Theinstruments used questionnaire and documentation. Based on the resultof research finding and discussion in this research, it can be concludedthat the average of English achievement of the students‘ who live withparents was higher than the students who live with no-relative and thereare a significant correlation between students‘ residence and students‘English achievement. Key word: students‟ residence, students‟ English achievement, correlational research
