Abstract

This research aimed to describe the level of performance of agricultural extension workers after participating in the functional extension training programs, and to describe the influence factors of agricultural extension workers performance in Bogor Regency. The populations were the agricultural extension workers graduated from the functional extension training programs and the number of them are 89. The research variables included: independent variables, which consist of four factors that covered characteristics of the agricultural extension workers (X1), training process (X2), supporting factors of agricultural extension (X3), and environmental factors (X4); and dependent variables that covered the competencies (Y1) and the performance of the agricultural extension workers (Y2). Data analysis techniques included descriptive statistics analysis to describe the research data, and path analysis to predict the independent variables towards the dependent variables to determine direct and indirect effects among variables. The results of the research showed that the factor with dominant influence is characteristics of the agricultural extension workers.

Abstract

Professional certification of agricultural extension workers than can be done through assessment. Competency assessment test can also be carried out through the professional education program. Professional education for agricultural extension officers was possible organized by STPP remember three things: (a) STPP is a college official, who can organize professional education in accordance with law number 20 of 2003 on national education system; (b) Agricultural extension college as the government regulation number 14 of 2010 can be transferred as a extension college official with professional education program after the Bachelor program or Diploma; and (c) Profession agricultural extension, made possible after the issuance of law number 16 of 2006 on agricultural extension system fisheries and forestry. The research goal is to identify the weaknesses, strengths, opportunities and challenges faced in the implementation of STPP and professional education counseling and determine appropriate strategies in agricultural extension education profession by STPP. This study used SWOT analysis approach. Number of samples for alumni and policy makers in the area as many as 152 people and 17 persons from the faculty so that the total number of respondents was 169 people. Based on the results of this research is that the operational activities that will be implemented should optimally utilize the entire power of the STPP and transformation process to achieve a distinctive competence and operational objectives STPP. A very useful indicator ideate operational strategy are: (a) Commitment to existing activities within the scope of STPP; (b) Conditions STPP current and planned ; (c) Transformation of the activities of the organization that is able to transform inputs into value-added output; and (d) Distinctive competence is owned STPP specific capabilities to generate added value through a transformational process and support the overall goals of STPP. Conclusion This is a strategy for organizing fieldwork education Professional Studies Program Strategy Agricultural Extension is SO (StrengthOpportunities).

Abstract

Indonesia is the largest archipelago in the world surrounded by large marine. In consequence, we could find many coastal region (so-called ecoton area) in this country. Ecoton area has specific character which is dynamic and susceptible, therefore it should be planned very well. Developing coastal region through tourism with appropriate and suitable planning, will bring about tourism in Pacitan Bay to be sustainable. This study aims to identify community and stakeholder perception and participation in supporting the agrotourism Landscape plan in Pacitan Bay. Community and stakeholder approach is carried out through stakeholder analysis obtained from questionnaire data, interview and literature through AHP tools. Study result shows that base on community acceptability in Pacitan Bay is potential to be a agrotourism region. The research was conducted in the gulf coast region in Pacitan. This study used descriptive quantitative approach is to do the weighting, scoring and ranking of each factor and the categories assessed. Analysis data used the AHP software Expert Choice 2000. Public perception of fisherman and the goverment in supporting the development of coastal landscape has been well proven by the value of Consistency Ratio (CR) of 0.03 which means that the perception of the development of coastal areas taking into account the social aspects of culture, ecology and the local economy.

Abstract

Soil fertility decrease on agricultural land due to the continuous use of chemical fertilizers and pesticide residues. Increasing farmer awareness of the use of other nutrient sources that are more eco-friendly. This research was conducted to determine the level of motivation; identify the motivation influencing factor; and develop strategies to increase farmers' motivation in using humic acid in shallot cultivation. This research was conducted from March to June 2022 in Cilawu District, Garut Regency. A descriptive method and multiple linear regression are used. Respondents were taken as many as 74 people who were determined by purposive sampling method, namely selected farmers who are members of farmer groups and cultivate shallot. The results show that the level of motivation was included in the medium category. A significant factor affected is the role of extension agents, the availability of facilities and infrastructure, and agricultural information. The strategy applied the extension to farmer’s approach to the most critical influent indicators, namely the availability of agriculture information
