Abstract

The aims of this study was to find out the correlation between jobinvolvement and health and safety at work disciplinary. The subject of the research were 97 employees of PT. Mandira Nusantara Bogor. The hypothesis stated that the higher the job involvement, the higher the health and safety at work disciplinary. The result shows that the hypothesis is consistent with the study by using product-moment correlation analysis, with r = .741 and p < .05. The Job-involvement account for 57.7% of the variability of health and safety at work disciplinary. Keywords : job – involvement

Abstract

The research was intended to find the affect of the leadership style on work-enthusiasm. Hypothesis was stated that employees who have relationorientation leader would increase their work-enthusiasm. The subject of the research was 100 employees. Data were obtained by Leadership style Scale and Work-enthusiasm scale. The result shows that there is no significant difference on the work enthusiasm between the relationorientation leader and task-orientation leader. The hypothesis is inconsistent with the study result. Keywords: Leadership-style, work-enthusiasm.

Abstract

Dalam kondisi bangsa Indonesia sedang dilanda krisis multidimensi, ketidakpastian merupakan variabel utama dalam kehidupan. Banyak perubahan yang terjadi di masyarakat bersifat mendadak dan tidak dapat diprediksikan. Masyarakat hidup dalam situasi kebimbangandan kegelisahan. Harga dollar dan saham berfluktuasi dengan hebat, sebentar naik, sebentarturun. Para ekonom mengatakan bahwa harga saham dan dollar lebih berkaitan dengan faktor-faktor psikologis dan bukan disebabkan faktor fundamental ekonomi. Kerusuhan terjadi dimana-mana dan hampir tidak dapat diprediksikan sebelumnya dan bom siap diledakkan ditempat-tempat strategis agar mengoncang perekonomian dan stabilitas politik. Likuidasi beberapa bank dan beberapa perusahaan yang dahulu dianggap sebagai penopang devisanegara telah menjadi pasien dari Badan Penyehatan Perbankan Nasional. Sejumlah konglomerat dalam proses pembuktian korupsi, kolusi, dan nepotisme di jaman orde baru.Akibatnya, banyak perusahaan yang gulung tikar. Beberapa perusahaan terpaksa mengatur kembali jadwal masuk agar karyawan tidak terjadi pemutusan hubungan kerja (PHK), beberapaperusahaan yang lain terpaksa melakukan PHK dengan screening tertentu, dan beberapa perusahaan lain dengan terpaksa merumahkan semua karyawannya.
