Abstract

This study aimed to determine the training method to improving long jump results of two training methods. Research conducted on 24 students of SMAN-2 Mengwi Badung and divided by into two groups. One group was given run-jump obstacle training and two groups was given run-jump ahead training. The data obtained were analyzed by paired ttest to determine the difference between before and after training in both groups and independent t-test to test the difference in long jump results between groups after training. Abstract

This study aimed to assess the increase of speed of the 400 m running obtained from a training of interval running of 800 m distance programmed  in three types of models and to find out which one of the three training models gave the greatest improvement of speed. The three models of training were interval sprint of 8 x 100 meters, 4 x 200 meters, and 2 x 400 meters, carried out in 4 sets, 3 times a week, for a 6 week duration. This study was an experimental study using the Randomized Pre and Post Test Group Design. The study subjects comprised 24 students of SMK Negeri 5 Denpasar, who were divided into 3 groups of 8 students each. Group 1 was assigned to 8 x 100 m run, group 2 to 4 x 200 m run, and group 3 to 2 x 400 m run training, respectively. The data were analyzed accordingly with the test of T-Paired, One-way Anova, and LSD. The result of the T-Paired test on each group before anf after training showed a significant mprovement of the running speed (p<0.05). Therefore, indicating an improvement of 400 m running speed was achieved in each group. The One-Way Anova test showed a significant difference was found among the three groups in the increase of running speed obtained after training (p<0.05). The LSD test showed there was a significant difference of the increase of running speed between Group 1 and 2, and between Group 1 and 3 (p<0.05). There was no significant difference of speed found between Group 2 and 3 (p>0.05). Therefore, the training of interval 8 x 100 meters run was more effective in increasing the running speed as compared with interval 4 x 200 meters and 2 x 400 meters run, respectively, among the students of SMK 5 Denpasar.

Abstract

This research objective examined the source of pollutants, water quality and water pollution level of Buyan Lake. The research conducted field observation to identify the source of pollutants, measuring the water quality and water pollution level of Lake Buyan compared to the standard of environmental quality and damage criteria. This research employed the newest standard measurement and equipment in purpose of water and wastewater inspection. Furthermore, this research used STORET method to analys the pollution level. The results discovered that the pollutant’s source was the settlement and agricultural activities around Buyan Lake. The average value of physical parameters i.e temperature, dissolved residue (TDS), suspended residue (TSS), turbidity and brightness are 23.02 oC; 127 mg.L-1, 4.71 mg L-1, 12.52 JTU; and 133.6 cm respectively. The average values ??of the chemical parameters i.e. pH, DO, BOD5, COD, NO3, NO2, Ammonia and Phosphate are 7.48, 5.95 mg.L-1*, 25.46 mg.L-1*, 42.99 mg.L-1*, 1.25 mg.L-1, 0.054 mg.L-1, 0.158 mg.L-1, and 0.149 mg.L-1 respectively. The average values ??of bacteriological parameters i.e Fecal Coliform and Total Coliform are 32.8 MPN/100 ml and 392 MPN/100 ml. The comparation results showed that DO, BOD5, COD, NO2, ammonia, phosphate, fecal coliform and total coliform exceed the Class I Standard of Water Quality. STRORET analysis confirmed a high level of pollution i.e. -40. The overall results show that Buyan Lake water is in the heavily polluted category due to domestic and agricultural activities. Abstract

Kepadatan jumlah penduduk meningkatkan bahan buangan, termasuk bahan buangancair berupa air limbah domestik. Air limbah domestik mengandung bahan organik yangtinggi sehingga dapat mencemari perairan. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan pengolahanyang efisien. Salah satu pengolahan air limbah domestik tersebut adalah fitoremediasi.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan kadar pH,COD, BOD, TSS danMinyak-Lemak pada keempat perlakukan fitoremediasi dengan menggunakan tanamaneceng gondok, kapu-kapu, kangkung air dan paku air. Penelitian ini menggunakan desainpenelitian pre-test dan post-test dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Perlakuan padapenelitian ini dengan memberikan empat jenis tanaman dengan massa 250 gram dan lamafitoremediasi selama satu hari dengan pengulangan sebanyak 5 kali. Sehingga, totalsampel menjadi 25 buah. Setelah fitoremediasi, prosentase penurunan pH tertinggi terjadipada tanaman kapu-kapu sebesar 18.62%. Selanjutnya prosentase penurunan TSS,COD,BOD dan minyak-lemak paling tinggi terjadi pada paku air secara berturut-turut sebesar69.80%, 77.42%, 82.69% dan 38.81%. Simpulan, fitoremediasi dengan tanaman air(eceng gondok, kapu-kapu, kangkung air dan paku air) dapat menurunkan kadar pH, TSS,COD, BOD dan minyak-lemak dengan efektifitas yang berbeda dimana, paku air memilikiprosentase tertinggi pada parameter TSS, COD, BOD, dan minyak-lemak.

Abstract

The 2021 Unhi KKN-PPM activity, in Peguyangan Kaja Village, Denpasar City, Bali Province was carried out for 5 weeks, (27 August to 30 September 2021). One of the KKN-PPM programs implemented is the food security program in the form of organic vegetable cultivation activities with polybags. This activity was adapted to the KKN-PPM theme that was carried, namely "Village, Kala Tattwa: Ausadhining Bhumi" which means Glorifying Plants in Bhumi according to the place, time, and local wisdom. The purpose of this activity is to provide knowledge, skills about organic vegetable cultivation using polybag planting media, as well as to develop a conservative attitude to care for the environment to the community during the Covid-19 pandemic. The method used in this activity is a participatory method involving members of the Bija Utama Farmer Group facilitated by Unhi KKN-PPM students. The type of vegetable grown in this activity is cayenne pepper (Capsicum frutescens L.). In addition to daily food needs, red chili also has high economic value, and can be used as an ornamental plant. The material given is in the form of planting media used, media composition, and planting containers using polybags. Conclusion: the community gains knowledge and understanding about the cultivation of cayenne pepper vegetables with polybags as an effort to maintain food security, which is important to be carried out further in daily activities so that people can remain productive during the Covid-19 pandemic. Abstract

This study aims to reveal the sustainability of Balinese traditional residential architectural practices which are based on the provisions of traditional ethnic Balinese social stratification and refers to the capital ownership in Generative Structural Theory from Pierre Bourdieu (economic, cultural, social and symbolic). At present, there are dynamics ownership and capital conversion in the traditional social strata which affect the sustainability of traditional residential architecture practices. The traditional Balinese residential architecture in this study is understood to be the spatial layout and traditional residential buildings of the Middle Bali era. Its sustainability today is seen from the concept of capital in the perspective of Bourdieu’s theory. The basic assumption of Bourdieu’s theory is basically that humans are in the field of social struggle to emerge victorious by competing with one another. This study is a qualitative research with interpretative descriptive method. Primary data were obtained from selected informants (purposive) and from field observations, as well as secondary data from the literature. The study findings show that traditional residential architecture practices in the Middle Bali era were strongly influenced by capital ownership (economic, cultural, social, and symbolic) with various forms of conversion to traditional Balinese aristocratic (triwangsa). Development at this time has opened the opportunity to control various capital for ordinary community (jabawangsa), so that the realm of Balinese traditional housing becomes a medium of struggle as well as a symbol of success in social struggle. On the other hand, the contestation of Balinese traditional residential architectural practices is a sustainability in the arena of social struggle within Balinese society today.

Abstract

Monitoring water sources is essential to ensure the quality and quantity, one of which is in the Titab Reservoir. The purpose of the study was to assess the water quality and amount of pollution in the Titab reservoir in terms of physical, chemical, and microbiological characteristics, as well as the NVC of Tawes (Barbonymus gonionotus) fish. There are five station points for water sampling and 10 test parameters related to water quality. Data analysis compares test results with second-class water quality standards (Bali Governor Regulation No. 16/2016), IP value (pollution index), and NVC with Furton's equation. The test results obtained that the water in the Titab reservoir has a temperature of 28.97oC, TSS (0.18 mg/L), pH (8.82), BOD (3.22 mg/L), COD (16.70 mg/L), DO (6.77 mg/L), Total Phosphate (0.12 mg/L), Nitrate (0.19 mg/L) and Fecal Coliform (960 MPN/100 mL), the IP value was 1.39, and the NVC was 1.65. Thus, the pH, BOD, and Fecal Coliform levels of the Titab reservoir water did not match the specified limits, although the other parameters satisfied the water quality norms. The Titab reservoir's water is classed as mildly contaminated with the NVC value of tawes fish, referring to the Titab reservoir's polluted water. Abstract

Pemahaman tentang ekologi rupanya menjadi kesatuan dalam rancang bangun arsitektur tradisional Bali yang konstruksi utamanya berbahan kayu. Ketentuan kayu yang boleh dan tidak boleh, atau yang baik dan dilarang untuk dipergunakan sebagai bahan bangunan sudah diatur dalam lontar kearsitekturan tradisional Bali. Artikel ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskripif interpretatif. Studi kepustakaan dilakukan terhadap terjemahan isi lontar Asta Kosala Kosali, Janantaka dan Taru Pramana khususnya tentang kayu sebagai bahan bangunan. Wawancara dari informan dipilih secara purposif. Studi ini mengungkapkan ideologi ekologi yang mendasari konstruksi Arsitektur Tradisional Bali, mendapat tekanan ideologi pasar pada era kekiniannya. Ideologi pasar telah menekan ideologi ekologi, sehingga ada indikasi terjadinya krisis lingkungan. Kata Kunci: konstruksi arsitektur tradisional Bali, ideologi ekologi, ideologi pasar.
