Abstract

This paper proposed and investigated the one-way amplify-and-forward (AF) full-duplex relaying network under impact of direct link. For the system performance analysis, the exact and lower and upper bound form of the system outage probability (OP) are investigated and derived. In this system model, authors assume that the E uses the MRC (maximal ratio combining) technique. Finally, we can see that the analytical and the simulation values overlap to verify the analytical section using the Monte Carlo simulation. Also, we investigate the influence of the system primary parameters on the proposed system OP.

Abstract

In this paper, optimal short-term hydrothermal operation (STHTO) problem is determined by a proposed high-performance particle swarm optimization (HPPSO). Control variables of the problem are regarded as an optimal solution including reservoir volumes of hydropower plants (HdPs) and power generation of thermal power plants (ThPs) with respect to scheduled time periods. This problem focuses on reduction of electric power generation cost (EPGC) of ThPs and exact satisfactory of all constraints of HdPs, ThPs and power system. The proposed method is compared to earlier methods and other implemented methods such as particle swarm optimization (PSO), constriction factor (CF) and inertia weight factor (IWF)-based PSO (FCIW-PSO), two time-varying acceleration coefficient (TTVACs)-based PSO (TVAC-PSO), salp swarm algorithm (SSA), and Harris hawk algorithm (HHA). By comparing EPGC from 100 trial runs, speed of search and simulation time, the suggested HPPSO method sees it is more robust than other ones. Thus, HPPSO is recommended for applying to the considered and other problems in power systems.

Abstract

Novel results on complex interconnected time-delay systems with single phase second order sliding mode control is investigated. First, a reaching phase in traditional sliding mode control (TSMC) is removed by using a novel single phase switching manifold function. Next, a novel reduced order sliding mode observer (ROSMO) with lower dimension is suggested to estimate the unmeasurable variables of the plant. Then, a new single phase second order sliding mode controller (SPSOSMC) is established based on ROSMO tool to drive the state variables into the specified switching manifold from beginning of the motion and reduce the chattering in control input. Then, a stability condition is suggested based on the well-known linear matrix inequality (LMI) method to ensure the asymptotical stability of the whole plant. Finally, an illustrated example is simulated to validate the feasible application of the suggested technique.

Abstract

The use of new energy sources to replace traditional energy sources is the worldwide interest based on its irrefutable advantages, especially in regions where supply systems Power supply cannot reach. The devices installed capacity has a significant effect on the economy as well as on system operation. In this paper, formulate and solve the problem of optimizing installed capacity for devices (generators, charge controllers, storage, inverters) that are used in independent renewable energy systems. In illustrating this method of calculation, we apply it on a standalone system, i.e., it is not connected to the power supply grid.

Abstract

The main idea of this paper is to investigate the system performance (SP) ofenergy harvesting FD relaying network over block rayleigh fading channelunder the influence of the loopback interference channel. In the first stage,we proposed the system modeland analyzed the energy harvesting and theinformation transmission phases. Furthermore, the mathematical form for theoutage probability (OP) is analyzed and derived in two kinds of loopbackinterference: residual self-interference is modeled as AWGN vĂ residual self-interference is still a random variable. All the mathematical, analyticalexpressions are verified using the Monte Carlo simulation.

Abstract

Performance analysis of power beacon-assisted D2D communication networks in the presence of eavesdropper and co-channel interference is presented is investigated. The outage probability and the intercept probability of the proposed system are analyzed and derived. The impact of the main system parameters on the system performance is investigated. The Monte Carlo simulation is used for verifying the correctness of the analytical section.
