Abstract

This study focused on the role of Arabic teaching in increasing academic writing skill of the students of 2009 who were studying at Arabic Teaching Program of STAIN Pekalongan. The result showed that most of them (60%) declared not ready to write their minithesis in Arabic. They were not enough well-prepared in Arabic academic writing. Their grades in overall Arabic subject were 68 in range 0 - 100: starting at General Arabic (Arabic I, II, and III); structure (nahwu and Sharf), pronounciation (Qirâ-ah), listening (Istimâ’), speaking (Kalâm), up to writing skill (kitâbah). It verified that student who had a good grade in a lingual subject, like Arabics, is not equal with his language skill, especially in writing skill.

Abstract

قـد تـعـلق تعـلم الـنحوبـتـعـلم اللـغـة الـعـربـية تـعـلقا قـويـا. اذا تـعلم شـخـص اللـغـة الـعـربيـة للـتـحـدث , فلـيـس بـواجـب أن يـهـتم النـحو اهـتـمـا ما كامـلا. الا اذا تـعـلم اللـغة الـعـربـية الـفـصـحـة الـصحـيـحـة فلا بـد أن يـتـعلـمـه تـعـلـما صـحـيـحا. لـذالك يـعـرف أن تـعـلم اللـغة الـعـربـية في المـدرسـة الـعـالـية الـسـلا فـية بسـيـمـبـانـج كـولـون يـهـتم ذلك كـله, حـتي يـرى ان تلامـيـذهـا يـسـتـطيـعـون أن يـقرأوا ويـتـرجـموا ويـسـتـمـعوا الـكلا م الـعـربي جـيـدا. اعـتـمـادا عـلي هـذا الـمـوقـع يـلا خـص أن عـلم الـنـحـومـفـيـد جـدا في اعـانـة تـعـلم اللـغـة الـعـربـية بـسـيـمـبانـج كـولـون. عـلـمـا أن نـتائـج اللـغـة الـعـربـية لأ كـثـر تـلا مـيذهـا أعـلي قـيـمـة (يـعـني بـين 78 – 80 ) عـلي حـسـب تـقـديـر الـقـيـمـة مـن الـمـدرسـة الـعالـية الـسلافـية بـسـبـانـج كـولـون فـكالـونـجـان (يـعـني بـين 70 – 76 ). هذا يدل على أن تقدير القيمة التلاميذ فيها جيدا أو جيدا جدا.

Abstract

Fashahah according to the classic scholars is sealed by period, place, and vocabularies with certain conditions, while it according to contemporary scholars is a process of renewable development. In modern linguistics, it reveals the activities and thought of the modern Arab nation. It  continuously describes its function as a different transmitter of the Arabic functions according to classic scholars which is more dynamic and not static. The result concludes that the classical Arab in the Qur'an is in peak not only as a means of conveying the thought, but also becomes the religious and unifying language of Arab nations with its various specifications. The process of evolution occurring in Arabic Language includes its pronunciation, structure of grammar, and dilalah.

Abstract

The Islamic preach is one of the most important means of achieving future generations. The field of this movement does not have every human being, there are certain conditions and controls that the preacher does not spare in order to ensure that he is successful in his preach to study its history and its origins and to learn about its methods, and means. One of the most important means of publishing the preach is writing recently, whether in the form of articles published in newspaper, magazines, or printed books. The first was done by Sheikh Mustafa Al-Ghalayini through newspaper articles and then written in the form of a printed book. The second was carried out by Sheikh Ayd al-Qarni, a Saudi writer whose the most prominent of which is his spectacular book (La Tahzan). The research methodology is about comparing the previous two books by presenting the material contained therein and critiquing it objectively. After this comparison, the researcher discovered that the literary values that affect the success factors in writing preach must be author familiar with theoretical and applied sciences and the need for the writer to observe the laws and controls of writing using a simple, easy to use method supported by clear definite argument, the need for knowledge of the community?s language, its situation and treatment with it the preach in all honesty, starting with the preach of the self and then moving to the wider community, and the complete focus in the preach. And this does not mean leaving the job of the public institution that deal with the community.

Abstract

Mazhab of Basra is part of ideologies in nahw. It is the first embryo of traditional linguistics throughout the history. In this stage, there were many figures of nahw who developed the basic of nahw. This article provides the readers an illustration of geography of Basra as well as its history. In addition, it also provides the characteristics of the Islamic schools in building the basic principles of nahw and acquaints its figures of nahw as well as their best creations.

Abstract

Occasionally the number of fluent shahids cannot be the barometer in constructing rules of nahwu ṣarf rules, because of its characteristic as sima’i which cannot be practiced. Likewise, the form of syaż or anomaly that has been formulated by the experts is inversely proportional to the number of fluent texts as the main barometer of language rules. Therefore, this form can be accepted in the term of qiyasi and sima’i. This study aims to examine the anomalous methods in the book of Ḥasyiyah Sabban Syarḥ Asymuni from the perspective of prescriptive linguistics (manhaj mi'yari). The detailed explanation is presented in the form of a thematic study of nahwu ṣarf . The results showed that the justification of the nahwu sharf anomaly only focused on the syahīd /text whose source was unknown, enabling the consensus of nahwu scholars following Baṣrah mażhab. The form of the anomaly reinforced by the fluent syahīd is not the same degree. This rule is not anomalous because it comes from an eloquent source, but it should not be used as a standard in formulating rules because there is no general qiyas.

Many linguists agree that (أل ) belongs to important articles in Arabic language. أل is usually used in isim (noun), but sometimes it also can be used in fi’il (act). This condition usually can be found in some poems. This study aims to describe the position of أل in fi’il (act). The conclusion of this article is that أل can be used in fi’il butonly in fi’il mudhari’. However, it belongs to rarely used words in Arabic language, so that it cannot be used as formal standard in supporting theory of language.
