Abstract

Praktikum atau percobaan merupakan bagian penting dalam pembelajaran IPA. Hal ini juga tidak kalah pentingnya untuk mata pelajaran matematika yaitu untuk simulasi dalam pemahaman konsep matematis yang disampaikan, sebagai bahan untuk latihan lanjutan. Sering kali sekolah mempunyai keterbatasan dalam alat dan bahan untuk kegiatan praktikum, sehingga kegiatan praktikum ditiadakan. Tidak ada alasan untuk tidak melakukan kegiatan praktikum, karena ada laboratorium virtual sebagai upaya pemanfaatan Information Communication Technology (ICT). Laboratorium virtual menggunakan PhET Interactive Simulations. Berdasarkan hasil angket respons guru IPA dan matematika diperoleh: 1) pelatihan yang dilakukan sesuai dengan kondisi saat ini, yaitu kondisi kegiatan belajar dari rumah (Pandemi Covid-19), tidak ada yang tidak mungkin bahwa kegiatan praktikum IPA/ Matematika harus tetap berjalan meski dengan laboratorium virtual baik online maupun offline; 2) guru IPA dan Matematika semangat dalam mengikuti pelatihan, selain dengan antusias dan semangat serta memberikan reaksi positif dengan kesanggupan dalam mengimplementasikan laboratorium virtual pada mata pelajaran yang diajarkan, 3) materi hand out dan daftar aplikasi PhET yang sesuai dengan Kurikulum 2013 pada kompetensi IPA dan Matematika SMP serta bahan ajar untuk implementasi PhET telah membantu guru dalam memahami pelatihan yang disampaikan.

Abstract

Mutu pembelajaran Biologi masih rendah. Rendahnya mutu pembelajaran ini disebabkan oleh faktor pembelajaran yang masih berpusat pada guru (teacher centered) tanpa melibatkan siswa untuk berpatisipasi pada proses untuk mendapatkan informasi dari kegiatan pembelajaran tersebut. Pengajaran Resiprok (Reciprocal Teaching) merupakan salah satu strategi pendekatan pembelajaran yang dapat diterapkan untuk meningkatkan ketuntasan belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran biologi SMA, sehingga mutu pembelajaran mengalami ketercapaian ketuntasan hasil belajar yang ditetapkan. Tahapan Pengajajaran Resiprok adalah: (1) membaca dan mencari ide pokok bacaan berdasarkan teks bacaan yang disediakan, (2) membuat pertanyaan, (3) menjawab pertanyaan, (4) merangkum informasi yang penting, (5) memprediksi, (6) mengidentifikasi hal-hal yang tidak jelas dari teks bacaan, (7) mengklarifikasi hal-hal yang tidak jelas tersebut.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to describe the readiness of secondary school teachers in East Java in distance learning during the covid-19 pandemic and the teachers' efforts in East Java in learning during the covid-19 pandemic. The research method was survey research with a sample of 70 secondary schools of natural science teachers in East Java. The data was collected by distributing questionnaires with a Likert scale. The collected data was then analyzed using descriptive statistics with Aydin & Tasci model. The results showed that secondary school science teachers in East Java were ready for distance learning, with a score of 3.45 and performing distance learning using the Google Classroom app with a percentage of 71.8% during the covid-19 pandemic. To face distance learning obstacles, the teachers can create modules for all topics of natural science at secondary school. The created module can be uploaded on an e-learning platform or WhatsApp Group. Besides, to minimize internet network use and the lack of communication tools, offline learning can be conducted, especially for natural science learning through a practicum. Furthermore, these results can be used as the basis for developing teacher resources through the enrichment of teaching models and strategies that can be applied under any circumstances in the event of a pandemic.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the validity of the experts and constructs of the items in the Final Semester Assessment (PAS) based on the validity of the items. Descriptive quantitative research method, namely the study of documentation. The subjects in this study were teachers and students. The documentation used is the PAS question lattice document and the PAS answer document from the students. The data analysis technique used descriptive quantitative, namely analyzing the PAS item grid made by the teach-er and analyzing the students' PAS answers using the TAP 2.0 application. The results of this study, namely, based on the validity of experts / experts seen from the aspect of material, construction and lan-guage are in the good category. Based on construct validity on the aspect of difficulty level, discriminat-ing power, effectiveness of deception, reliability and validity of the Final Semester Assessment (PAS) questions at SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Tanggulangin included in the category of questions that can be used as many as 4 questions, namely in question numbers 4,12,18 and 25. There are 8 questions in the revised category, namely the number 1,2,3,5,6,11,19 and 13 questions cannot be used, namely the ques-tion number 7,8,9,10,13,14,15,16 ,17,20,22,23,24.Keywords: Expert validity, item analysis, TAP application program. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk menguji validitas pakar/ahli dan dari butir soal pada Penilaian Akhir Semester (PAS) berdasarkan validitas butir soal. Metode penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif, yaitu studi dokumentasi. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah guru dan siswa. Dokumentasi yang digunakan yaitu dokumen kisi-kisi soal PAS dan dokumen jawaban PAS dari siswa. Teknik analisis data menggunakan kuantitatif deskriptif, yaitu menganalisis kisi-kisi butir soal PAS yang dibuat oleh guru dan menganalisis jawaban PAS siswa menggunakan aplikasi TAP 2.0. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu, berdasarkan hasil uji kevalidan oleh pakar/ahli dilihat dari aspek materi, isi dan bahasa masuk dalam kategori baik. Berdasarkan hasil uji pada aspek tingkat kesukaran, daya pembeda, efektifitas pngecoh, reliabilitas dan validitas soal Penilaian Akhir Semester (PAS) di SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Tanggulangin masuk dalam kategori soal dapat digunakan sebanyak 4 soal yaitu pada nomor soal 4,12,18 dan 25. Soal dalam kategori direvisi sebanyak 8 soal yaitu pada nomor soal 1,2,3,5,6,11,19 dan tidak dapat digunakan sebanyak 13 soal yaitu pada nomor soal 7,8,9,10,13,14,15,16,17,20,22,23,24.Kata kunci: Analisis butir soal, program aplikasi TAP, validitas ahli.

Abstract

The condition of the covid-19 pandemic makes face-to-face learning become distance learning, learning activities from home are no exception to practicum learning. Alternative solutions using PhET Interactive Simulations. The research aims to describe the influence and great influence of PhET Interactive Simulations-based distance practicum learning on the science process skills of junior high school students. The research method uses quasi-experimentation with matching pre-test post-test control group design. The research population is grade VIII students of SMP Sepuluh Nopember Sidoarjo with a sample of 2 grade VIII, namely VIII H as an experimental class and VIII F as a control class of 40 students each. Research instruments use science process skills tests with 7 indicators namely formulating problems, formulating hypotheses, identifying variables and operational definitions of variables, assembling tools and materials, presenting data, conducting data analysis, and concluding. The results showed there is a huge influence between distance learning practicum based on PhET interactive simulations on the science process skills of secondary school students in natural science subjects. Further research increases the number of research variables, in addition to science process skills as well as understanding of student concepts to science, and so on.

Abstract

The analytical thinking skills is important are mastered in all areas of the work, so it needs to be trained at school. But in fact, only 5% of Indonesian students have analytical competence, the competency of most students at the level of knowledge or memorization. Research is conducted to uncover activities, analytical thinking skills, and pre-service student teachers' of natural science education responses through model 4A (phenomenon Analysis, information Analysis, data Analysis, and findings Analysis). The results of study were obtained that: 1) pre-service student teachers' activities are still relevant to learning; 2) the results of the average test results analytical thinking skills, it can be said high that is 78.9; and 3) pre-service student teachers' response to the fluid lecture with model 4A is categorized positively. These results, need to be encouraged to other courses so that the possibility of analytical thinking skills will increase significantly.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between students 'attitudes in science and cognitive learning outcomes based on 2 indicators that is enjoyment of science lessons and leisure interest in science. This type of quantitative research with a survey method. The instrument used was a questionnaire which was tested through the google form application. The results showed that enjoyment of science lessons was categorized as good with a percentage of 54%. Leisure interest in science is categorized quite good with a percentage of 42%. Based on the correlation analysis of enjoyment of science lessons and learning outcomes, it shows a positive correlation with a correlation level of 0.607 which is classified as a strong correlation. The correlation of leisure interest in science and learning outcomes shows a positive correlation with a correlation level of 0.499 which is classified as moderate correlation. Meanwhile, the correlation between the two indicators shows a positive correlation with the level of correlation of 0.776 which is classified as a strong correlation. It can be concluded that the students' attitudes towards science at MTs Muhammadiyah 1 Taman based on these indicators are classified as having positive attitudes and are categorized as good.

Abstract

Knowing the application of the contextual learning model can be applied in the modeling connections and mathematical connections approach in mathematics lessons on simple fraction material for third grade students of SDN Sepande and knowing the responses of SDN Sepande students to learning simple fraction mathematics by applying the contextual model. In learning mathematics, each student has different abilities. Problems that are often found by elementary school (SD) students in their daily life are problems related to simple fractions in mathematics lessons. Because the concept of fractions is often found in student activities in carrying out various activities in daily life, Elementary School students are no exception. Based on this, the contextual learning model can improve the mathematical connection ability of students. This research method uses qualitative methods with a narrative approach. The population in this study is SDN Sepande Sidoarjo, the object of this research is the third grade students. Using the following instruments: test questions, student response questionnaires, interviews, and observation sheets. The results of this study indicate the difference in the average pretest and posttest data of the experimental group using triangulation techniques. In the results of this study, there are 3 levels of mathematical connection ability at high, medium, and low levels. In the contextual learning model it can make it easier for students to solve simple fraction problems.

Abstract

Mastery of mathematical reasoning and problem solving skills is very necessary for students, in order to understand and solve mathematical material better. The formulation of the problem in this research are (1) What are the advantages and disadvantages of mathematical reasoning ability?, (2) What are the advantages and disadvantages of problem solving ability?, (3) What is the relationship between mathematical reasoning ability and problem solving in mathematical material?. This type of research is a literature study. Sources of data used are secondary data sources. Data collection techniques were carried out by analyzing several articles in journals, related to the research focus taken by the researcher. The data analysis technique used is to analyze secondary data sources. In the learning process these two abilities must exist and cannot be separated, so it can be stated that they have a very close relationship. Abstract

This study discusses the analysis of interest and learning outcomes of elementary school natural science through a contextual approach. With this, the researcher found several problems that need to be researched. The problem is about how interest in learning natural science in elementary school through a contextual approach and how learning outcomes in elementary school natural science through a contextual approach. This problem makes the researcher take a qualitative descriptive research approach using the literature study method. Sources of data obtained from journals, articles and other previous research. Sources of data taken in the study must be at least the last five years. The results obtained from the research are that students have increased interest in learning and learning outcomes of natural science using a contextual approach. These results make the researcher conclude that the contextual approach can affect the interest and learning outcomes of students in natural science material.
