This type of research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method with a posttest only design with a nonequivalent group. The population of this study was the fourth-semester students of Tadris Biology UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi in class VI B and VI C, which opened 18 people. Samples were taken by using a purposive sampling technique. The instrument in this study was in the form of 5 essay test questions. Data analysis used t-test and correlation test. From the results of data analysis with the t test, it can be concluded that online lectures using the STEM approach are much better than online lectures without using the STEM approach. Research analysis continued with correlation test, and it wasfound that lectures with a STEM approach had a significant effect on student cognitive domain learningo utcomes. Keywords: Online Lectures, STEM Approach, Cognitive Learning Outcomes

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of project-based learning with YouTube presentations as a final project on the cognitive domain online learning outcomes in English for Physics subjects. This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method. The design of the study was post-test with a non-equivalent design. The populations of this study were the fourth-semester students of Physics Tadris, which amounted to 32 people. The samples were taken by using the saturated sampling technique. The instrument used in this study was 20 multiple-choice questions. in analyzing the data, the researcher used the t-test and correlation test (phi (Φ) test) with a significance level of α = 0,05. The results of the t-test show that there is a difference in learning achievement where the experimental class is better than the control class. Then from the results of the correlation test (phi test (Φ)) shows that project-based learning with YouTube achievement as a final project has a significant effect on the cognitive domain.

Abstract

The impact of the industrial revolution 4.0 developments with physical and internet cyber systems in the education sector is the development of computer-based teaching which then propagates to the development of online learning and the use of e-learning media. With a combined system, distance learning occurs in a learning management system with web-based assistance platforms and social media which is the result of the development of Industry 4.0 during the 21st century. The main objective of this research is to analyze and compare student perceptions in implementing eight platforms of implementing an online-based Learning Management System at the tertiary level. Then, this study links students' perceptions in implementing online-based learning management with reference to three aspects of assessment; teaching and learning aspects, lecturer competency aspects, and infrastructure aspects. A quantitative approach with a survey design has been chosen. Sampling technique was purposive sampling and involved 147 respondents. The results concluded that the Zoom, Google Classroom and Whatsapp platforms were the most frequently used distance learning media and were also liked by students. Currently, not many lecturers use Moodle because there is not enough time to learn how to use Moodle and prepare all the resources to design the desired learning, while there are many alternative platforms that are easier to learn and use in a short time. The survey on the three aspects of daring learning has been agreed in detail and the results provide positive conclusions regarding the implementation of online-based learning in the past 4 years.

Abstract

Personal Branding is a step taken by a lecturer, one of which is publishing articles in accredited journals. Academic writing is intended to contribute to the field of education both practically and theoretically. This scientific research focuses on descriptive analysis of lecturers' voices about the struggle in achieving a publication target. The author uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological design and semi-structured interviews to obtain data from selected senior lecturers at certain public institutions. In general, the findings of this research are categorized into six points. Of the two sub-themes, the research results tend to lead to positive and negative attitudes in English-language publications. Furthermore, the discursive challenge shows that Participants have difficulty writing with regard to word choice, grammar, and vocabulary bank, while the non-discursive challenge shows that Participants have difficulty processing their soft skills such as time management in writing and financial management in publications. In terms of psychology, the lecturers' internal motivation in writing is the target for achieving a higher career. The more they write, the more performance points they get so they can reach a certain career level. Meanwhile, external motivation is in the form of government regulations and legal institutions that require an educator in higher education to carry out scientific activities such as research and reports in the form of published scientific articles. The implications of this research are expecting support from the institution where they work and the writer's family to understand their obligations as a lecturer.
