Abstract

This article describes the potential of the Pamekasan Regency area by promoting local-based resources (endogenous development). The method applied: literature search, calculation of Location Quotient, observation and Focus group discussion. The results showed, the potential of the northern region: cattle, shallots, fish processing, tobacco, sonok beef cultural tourism destinations, biopharmaca, cayenne pepper, vegetables, coconut, furniture, bamboo, siwalan, buju’ bersila bersiti  tourism, catfish, tembang fish, shrimp paste. Southern region: salt, batik, tobacco, rice, anchovy, vanname shrimp, laying hens, processed fish (anchovies, selar) cattle fattening, tourism (jumiang beach, talang siring, fire never goes out), red chilies, krepek tette, marine tourism, oysters, mangrove, crab, small crab, seaweed, lorjuk, banana, rengginang, earthenware, sate lala ', krupuk (tack, fish, pulley), handicraft (bamboo, bag, skin), ampar stone religious tourism, broilers, tofu factories, peanuts, domestic chicken, herbal chilies, oranges, fresh fish restaurants, corn, shrimp, mackerel, herbal medicine, ball stadium, processed corn, green beans, drinks, vegetables, potoh, water tourism. Central region: agro-tourism (durian fruit, avocado klengkeng, mango, biopharmaca, Puncak Ratu Tour, Bukit Brukoh), batik, pebbles, cigarettes, pesantren-based economy, peanuts, crackers, plait, long beans, genting, bentoel, pepper, cayenne pepper, leeks, chips (cassava, taro, tette), beef, watermelon, cassava, coconut, banana, corn, brown sugar, chicken (laying eggs, domestic), siwalan, tape, rice, catfish.

Abstract

Treasures about Islam in Indonesia cannot be separated from pesantren (Islamic boarding school). The contribution to the development of social and cultural, especially through the preservation of local culture. This paper discusses social capital and its transformations in Pondok Pesantren Sidogiri, Pasuruan Regency. This study applied ethnography method. The research findings show  internalized social capital includes social interaction ties  such as  routine recitations, alumni bonds, and togetherness inthe style of pondok pesantren, istighozah, haul,  akhir sanah and cooperation with other institutions outside pesantren. Norms consist of love and obedience to masyaikh also his family, santri Sidogiri are one brotherhood, discipline, barokah (divine blessing), and independence in the economy, as well as honest and trustworthy behavior. Shared vision contain the development of science and institutions for the affirmation of ahlus Sunnah wa jamaah, khidmah lil ma’had khidmah lil ummah, ibadillah sholihin, simplicity, and creating entrepreneurship. Meanwhile, the transformation of social capital are the expansion of the pesantren network through the development of the organizational structure - establishment of new institutions and institutionalize of khidmah lil ma'had and khidmah lil ummah. The social capital has a big enough impact, not only to create santri who own a strong religious knowledge and entrepreneurial spirit but also as a major trigger in the success of Pondok Pesantren Sidogiri in developing its economic business. The productive culture attached to social capital, moreover the increasing stock of social capital intend to combines two aspects namely clinging ahlusunnah wal jamaah and responding to advancement of science and technology.

Abstract

One Tambon one product (OTOP) adalah pendekatan pembangunan yang memanfaatkan seluas-luasnya potensi wilayah dengan mempertahankan kelestarian lingkungan, agar mendukung pengembangan industri kecil dan menengah. Penyusunan keragaan potensi desa di Kecamatan Pademawu Kabupaten Pamekasan melalui penelusuran pustaka yang dikolaborasikan dengan penghitungan LQ (location quiteont), observasi, dan FGD (Focus group discussion). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komoditi unggulan masing-masing desa di Kecamatan Pademawu adalah (1) Desa Padelegan: ikan teri (2) Baddurih : wisata bahari kepiting-rajungan (3) Majungan: mangrove (4) Pagagan: wisata tiram-mangrove (5) Tanjung: wisata pantai Jumiang dan rumput laut (6) Pademawu Timur: lorjuk (7) Pademawu Barat dan Sumedangan: gerabah (8) Bunder: garam (9) Murtajih: wisata terpadu dan karapan sapi (10) Sentol: Sate lala” dan gipsum (11) Tambung: pandai besi (12) Sopa’ah: rengginang (13) Jarin: padi (14) Prekbun: pisang.

Abstract

Sidogiri Islamic Boarding School is one of the oldest Islamic boarding schools and is capable of being independent in its operational activities by having very rich resources and this institution is also an example of success in developing Islamic economics. The definition of "institution" in this article is how the rules are implemented in the pesantren's economic activities that are deeply tied to the social capital that they have. This study uses a case study qualitative approach. Data collection through observation, documentation and in-depth interviews. The results of the study show that social capital that is embedded in the pesantren environment can reduce transaction costs so that the institutional of Sidogiri Islamic Boarding School cooperative is more efficient. Network can reduce the cost of information, negotiation, coordination and supervision. Norms can decrease the occurrence of irregularities and the existence of trust. Shared vision can facilitate coordination and increase motivation. It is recommended that the application of social capital in the management of the Sidogiri kopontren be able to be transferred some other pesantren that are still lagging behind in economic development so that they are able to be independent and can help the economic problems of the community.
