Abstract

The role of teachers in the learning process has a very important role to play in producing the learning process. However, the reality in the field of teachers has not been able to provide the existing experience in the learning process so it can cause them to engage in HOTs and there are still misconceptions, especially physics subjects where students are just the theory. To learn about research by comparing Inquiry Learning with Problem Solving in order to increase HOTs and reduce physics misconceptions. This study reported 21 articles that included 10 Inquiry Studies and 11 Problem Solving. The result of this research is that Fhitung> Ftabel is 4,355> 3.55, and a probability value of 0.029 <0.05 which means a comparison of Learning about Problem Solving that can result in HOTs and misconceptions.

Abstract

The research conducted has a purpose is to provide improvement to students through the Inside Outside Circle method with the help of media video animation. The inside outside circle method trains students to increase their understanding of learning because the learners ' learning process exchanges information between each other. The results of this study showed that the learning that applied inside outside Circe with the help of animated video gave the contribution for students to improve understanding in learning. It is noted that before the average learning process pretests in the experimental class was 38.055. The control class is 42.167. After the treatment, there was an increase that the average posttest of the experimental class was 63.43. The control class is 53.46. The result of the increase was measured through test-t which was then concluded that the value of Thitung > this with a value of 4.24 > 1.99 that explains the understanding of learners using the Inside Outside Circle model of video animation media help better than conventional learning

Abstract

The covid-19 pandemic era forced teachers and educators to apply learning by applying online models. Many platforms are offered to facilitate learning, of course it confuses what application is suitable to use so that learning continues to run well even with the online system. So the purpose of this study is (1) to know the understanding and interest of students after learning by using online media platform, (2) to know the effectiveness of the platform that is often used during emergencies Covid-19, (3) able to implement a suitable platform for learning during pandemic Covid-19. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method. where in research the data obtained is then interpreted by the researcher. Based on the results obtained that the use of WAG as a single medium in learning is less effective, while the use of the classroom can be said to be effective because it is applied to students become more active in learning while the google meet application provides effective results in learning because learners are able to directly understand the material brought but has some constraints faced especially in signals and quotas. So it is necessary to use a combination of teleconference applications such as google meet and applications such as WAG / Classroom as a discussion container

Abstract

Pembelajaran IPA pada kurikulum 2013 yang diterapkan pada SMP Empu Tantular perlu untuk diamati karena di SMP Empu Tantular pembelajaran IPA masih berorientasi pada guru dan belum sesuai dengan perubahan pada kurikulum 2013. Hal ini mengakibatkan peserta didik cenderung hanya menerima yang dijelaskan guru tanpa mengetahui makna pembelajaran tersebut. Aktivitas peserta didikpun dalam kelas cenderung menghafal dan mendengarkan apa yang diterangkan guru. Hal tersebut berpengaruh pada rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis dan pemahaman konsep peserta didik. Cara untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan tersebut perlu adanya strategi dalam pembelajaran yang inovatif yaitu pendekatan yang berpusat pada peserta didik dengan menggunakan model eliciting activities (MEAs). Selain pendekatan tersebut berpusat pada peserta didik, MEAs mampu untuk memfasilitasi dalam membangun pengetahuannya sendiri sehingga peserta didik mampu mendalami konsep-konsep yang akan dipelajari oleh peserta didik. Tujuan penelitin ini yaitu mengetahui keefektifan MEAs pada materi IPA untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis, pemahaman konsep dan aktivitas peserta didik dalam belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan True Eksperimen Design dengan populasi kelas VII. Sampel penenitian ini yaitu kelas VII D sebagai kelas eksperimen (Pendekatan MEAs) dan VII C sebagai kelas kontrol (Pendekatan Saintifik). Data diambil menggunakan lembar tes berpikir kritis, pemahaman konsep, lembar observasi dan skala aktivitas belajar peserta didik. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu MEAs efektif dibandingkan pendektan saintifik baik ditinjau dari kemampuan berpikir kritis dan pemahaman konsep peserta didik karena nilai thitung = 4,03 untuk berpikir kritis, sedangkan pemahaman konsep thitung = 3,42 lebih besar t(1-α); α=5% yaitu 1,99. Pada nilai rata-rata aktivitas belajar peserta didik kelas eksperimen sebesar 67 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 51,5 dengan kriteria aktif untuk kelas eksperimen dan kurang aktif pada kelas kontrol. Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini yaitu MEAs mampu meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan pemahaman konsep. Selain itu, aktivitas belajar peserta didikpun meningkat
