Abstract

Agricultural extension is a lesson for the main actors and business actors so that they can help themselves in obtaining information related to the sustainability of their farming business. This study aims to: 1) analyze farmers perceptions of the competence of agricultural instructors, 2) analyze the relationship between farmer characteristics and extension activities with the level of farmers perceptions of agricultural instructor competencies based on the Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture No: 55/Permentan/KP. 120/7/2007. This study used a survey method with a total of 39 respondents. The results of descriptive and inferential analysis found that farmers had low perceptions of the competency level of agricultural extension workers. Extension workers are considered not optimal in carrying out their roles according to their duties and responsibilities. The factors that significantly influence the level of farmers perceptions of the competence of agricultural extension workers are the involvement, intensity and interaction of farmers in extension activities. This shows that the more frequent the involvement, the intensity of the meetings and the interaction of farmers with agricultural extension workers, the level of farmers perceptions of the main extension activities, extension planning, extension programs, application of extension methods, farmer self-help development, regional development, as well as the development of cooperative relationships with government agencies and non-government is higher.

Abstract

The Gunuang Ameh Siam orange (JESIGO) marketing system has complex problems, both in terms of price and non-price. The condition of the relatively high price of oranges (69.23%) compared to other types of oranges has resulted in uncompetitive orange market conditions. On the other hand, farmers as producers are not able to determine the selling price, the role of other marketing institutions is relatively more dominant. This study aims to analyze the marketing of JESIGO with a Structure, Conduct and Performance (SCP) approach. The research was carried out in Kenagarian Koto Tinggi during August 2019 to January 2020. The data used were primary and secondary data. Farmers were selected through purposive sampling (n=20) and snowball sampling for traders (n=11). The data were processed using qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. Based on the analysis of market structure, JESIGO marketing tends to lead to an oligopsony market structure. Judging from market behavior, there are 4 marketing channels and marketing functions performed by marketing institutions, namely the exchange function, physical function and facility function. Meanwhile, market performance analysis shows that the share of prices received by farmers (farmer's share) is quite high (>40%). The largest marketing margin is enjoyed by retailers in channel 3. The results of the analysis of the structure, behavior and market performance of the JESIGO orange illustrate that the market is in an efficient condition.

Abstract

Agroindustri kopi bubuk kiniko memiliki potensi besar untuk dikembangkan, namun kenyataannya masih banyak kendala dan tantangan yang dihadapi. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada perancangan strategi untuk mengembangkan agroindustri kopi bubuk kiniko. Penelitian dilakukan di Nagari Tabek Patah Kecamatan Salimpaung Kabupaten Tanah Datar dari Maret 2021 hingga Juni 2021. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, kuesioner, dan wawancara mendalam melalui Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Selain itu, analisis penelitian menggunakan metode faktor internal dan eksternal, matriks internal dan eksternal (IE Matrix), matriks SWOT dan analisis QSPM. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai faktor internal dan eksternal yang diperoleh masing-masing sebesar 3,15 dan 3,00. Saat dipetakan, nilai matriks IE berada di sel I (Satu) artinya perusahaan dalam kondisi sedang dan pada tahap pertumbuhan dan perkembangan. Alternatif-alternatif strategi antara lain SO: mempertahankan dan menjaga hubungan yang baik dengan konsumen, pemasok bahan baku, tenaga kerja, penunjang dan pemerintah, memanfaatkan pelatihan dan kerja sama dengan pemerintah dalam bagian manajemen, mengembangkan inovasi dengan kebiasaan prilaku konsumen, Strategi WO: meningkatkan kerja sama dengan pihak lain, menambah perluasan daerah pemasaran, Strategi ST: meningkatkan kuantitas dan kualitas produk dan Strategi WT : menambahkan kemampuan dalam bidang pemasaran untuk meningkatkan daya saing. Strategi pengembangan usaha Kopi Bubuk Kiniko yang diprioritaskan adalah meningkatkan kerja sama dengan pihak lain dengan nilai daya tarik (TAS) sebesar 5,36.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis biaya, penerimaan dan pendapatan peternak ayam broiler dengan pola kemitraan di Kecamatan Harau Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota. Penelitian menggunakan metode survey dan observasi langsung kelapangan menggunakan kuesioner, dengan 30 orang peternak yang bermitra. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan analisis biaya, total penerimaan dan keuntungan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan diperoleh biaya produksi ayam broiler dengan pola kemitraan sebesar Rp 162.319.201/periode dan Rp 33.420/ekor. Total penerimaan adalah Rp 174.638.833/periode dan Rp 35.956/ekor. Pendapatan peternak broiler selama satu periode adalah Rp 12.319.633/periode dan Rp 2.536/ekor. This study aims to analyze the costs, revenues and income of broiler breeders with a partnership pattern in Harau District, Lima Puluh Kota Regency. The study used survey methods and direct field observations using questionnaires, with 30 farmers who partnered. Data analysis was carried out using cost, total revenue and profit analysis. Based on the results of the research that has been done, the production costs of broiler chickens with a partnership pattern are Rp. 162,319,201/period and Rp. 33,420/head. The total revenue is Rp. 174,638,833/period and Rp. 35,956/head. The income of broiler breeders for one period is Rp. 12,319,633/period and Rp. 2,536/head.

Abstract

Sumatera Barat merupakan penyumbang gambir terbesar di Indonesia mencapai 63,47% dari total ekspor Indonesia ke pasar dunia. Negara utama ekspor gambir Sumatera Barat adalah India. Tantangan umum yang dihadapi Indonesia dalam mengekspor gambir ke India adalah adanya pesaing lain seperti Perancis, Italia, Belgia dan lainnya, kondisi harga pasar lokal dan harga ekstrak gambir baku impor, prosedur pemerintah untuk ekspor-impor membutuhkan waktu yang lebih lama. Selain itu, tingginya permintaan dan rendahnya produksi gambir menyebabkan penundaan pengiriman. Hal ini tentu saja akan mengganggu sistem perdagangan gambir dan akan berdampak terhadap daya saing gambir. Metode analisis penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis komparatif RCA (Revealed Comparative Advantage). Hasil analisis daya saing komparatif RCA (RevealedComparative Advantage) menggambarkan daya saing ekspor gambir Indonesia (Studi kasus di Sumatera Barat) di pasar dunia belum memiliki daya saing. Abstract

Gu Sereen is a brand of sugar products made from coconut water which is cooked into granules. Gu Sereen products were launched by Noniludo Group in September 2019. Gu Sereen products are still relatively new and not widely known to the public, requiring a strategy in marketing. Efforts to get the right marketing strategy obtained from the identification of internal and external factors. This study aims to describe and analyze the marketing strategy of Gu Sereen Noniludo Group. The study was carried out from April to May 2020. Determination of the sample was purposive. Data were analyzed using SWOT analysis. The main advantage of the product is a quality product without preservatives. Gu Sereen has a major market opportunity, namely consumers who prioritize a healthy lifestyle. The most appropriate strategy to be applied is the market penetration strategy by maximizing promotion and market expansion. The results of the SWOT analysis produce 10 alternative strategies that can be chosen by the company. An alternative strategy that is prioritized by the company is collaborating with minimarkets and herbal stores that are strategically located to be able to reach potential consumers with a TAS score of 6.486.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the effects of land area, labor, production costs, production quantities, and prices simultaneously and partially on the income of gambier farmers in Pangkalan Koto Baru District. The research method uses multiple linear regression. Determination of the purposive sampling amounted to 30 respondents. The results showed that simultaneously the variables of land area, labor, production costs, production quantities and prices had a significant effect on income. Partially shows that the variables of labor, production costs and the amount of production have a significant effect on income while the variables of land area and price have no significant effect on the income of gambier farmers in Pangkalan Koto Baru District. Based on the coefficient of determination of 82.3%, the income of gambier farmers in Pangkalan Koto Baru District is dependent on all independent variables. and the remaining 17.7% from other variables.

Abstract

Indonesian gambier exports to India undergone a significant change. The impact of macroeconomic conditions on the volume of Indonesian gambier exports to the Indian market has never been analyzed. The aim of study was to examine the response and contribution of the price of gambier, the exchange rate of the rupiah against the US dollar, inflation (general) Indonesia and the volume of world gambier exports to the Indian market using the VAR/VECM analysis approach. Data were analyzed during 1990 to 2020 (30 periods). The results showed that changes in the volume of Indonesian gambier exports to India in the past had a significant effect on the export volume of gambier itself. In the long term, all macroeconomic variables have a significant effect on the volume of Indonesian gambier. The model is for the next 10 years, with a pattern of increasing contribution of macroeconomic variables. The projection results show that the most dominant variability of Indonesian gambier export volume to India is still explained by the Indonesian gambier export volume (EXPIDN) itself with a proportion of 92%. Meanwhile, for macroeconomic conditions, the price of gambier (PRC) contributed 4.95%, inflation (INF) was 1.92%, the rupiah exchange rate against the US dollar (KRS) was 0.79%, and the world gambier volume (WRD) was 0.33%. The results of this analysis can be used as a strategic step in establishing Indonesian gambier trade regulations that stimulate an increase in gambier exports to the world market.

Abstract

Gian F1's super sweet corn business produces several processed sweet corn, one of which is corn fritters as its main product with a production capacity of 50 kilograms per day. The purpose of this study was to explain the process of making corn fritters and analyze the value added of corn fritters. The research was conducted in December 2021. The method applied was the case study method and the data analysis used to analyze the value added was the Hayami method. The results of the study explained that the value added of Gian F1's corn fritters products was high. This is because the value added ratio of corn fritters by Gian F1's business exceeds 40%, which is 67.26%. These results indicate that the corn fritters products from Gian F1's business are feasible to be maintained and developed.

Abstract

Jahe merupakan tanaman hortikultura jenis biofarmaka (tanaman obat) jahe memiliki banyak manfaat, tidak hanya untuk bumbu masakan tapi juga dapat dijadikan obat-obatan herbal. Selama pandemi permintaan jahe mengalami peningkatan karena dipercaya mampu meningkatkan imunitas tubuh dikala masa pandemi. Tujuan penelitian yakni 1) Menganalisis perbedaan permintaan, harga dan pendapatan konsumen selama pandemi 2) Menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi permintaan jahe selama pandemi covid-19 di pasar Ibuh Kota Payakumbuh. Jenis penelitian berupa deskriptif kuantitatif dengan sumber data berasal dari data primer melalui wawancara, kuesioner, dan observasi sedangkan  data sekunder diperoleh dari study pustaka dari buku, jurnal, artikel ilmiah, dan data terdokumentasi dari Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS). Metode analisis data menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif. Alat analisis paired sample t-test dan regresi linier berganda. Selama pandemi perekonomian mengalami ketidakstabilan, ditandai oleh jumlah permintaan jahe yang mengalami peningkatan sebesar 38%, seiring dengan meningkatnya harga jahe sebesar 141,6% dari hari biasanya serta pendapatan konsumen mengalami penurunan rata-rata sebesar 14%. Setelah dilakukan uji paired sample t-tes hasil menunjukan bahwa pendapatan, harga dan pendapatan konsumen selama pandemi menunjukan adanya perbedaan signifikan dari sebelum pandemi Covid-19. Hasil uji regresi linier berganda permintaan jahe selama pandemi di pasar Ibuh Kota Payakumbuh secara parsial dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor yaitu harga, pendapatan, pendidikan, jumlah anggota keluarga, dan produk pengganti namun umur dan motivasi tidak memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap permintaan jahe selama pandemi Covid-19 di pasar Ibuh Kota Payakumbuh. Sedangkan secara simultan seluruh variabel yang digunakan memiliki pengaruh nyata signifikan terhadap permintaan jahe selama pandemi di pasar Ibuh Kota Payakumbuh.
