Abstract

Daily activities require physical fitness so that the body can keep up with activities, as well as activities in student lectures are required to be able to attend lectures well and be supported by the vital capacity of the lungs to get maximum oxygen when inspiration and expiration and delivered throughout the body and this becomes a good indicator of lung function. The purpose of this study was to link the fitness level with the vital capacity of lungs in college students. This research method is descriptive correlative, which examines the relationship between variables using a cross-sectional approach. Data collection was carried out in the period September-October 2019, the subjects of this study were 52 final level undergraduate study program students. Examination of vital lung capacity will be measured by spirometry and fitness level is measured by Harvard step-up bench. Results: The mean value of the impurity level was 72 ± 8.84, while the mean value of vital lung capacity in this study was 3.528 ± 0.820 liters. The Spearman test was used to determine the relationship between the level of fitness and the vital capacity of the lungs, the p value was 0.000 (p <0.05) that there was a relationship between the vital capacity of the lungs and the fitness level he Spearman correlation of 0.605 indicates a positive relationship, or in other words, strong strength. Conclusion: There is a strong relationship between fitness level and lung vital capacity. The higher the fitness level of the vital lung capacity

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the countries that has experienced natural disasters due to Indonesia's geographic conditions which are included in the Ring of fire or a series of active volcanoes which often result in volcanic earthquakes and tectonic earthquakes that can cause property and life losses. This condition makes all elements of society obliged to know about preventive measures in disaster conditions, especially earthquake disasters, one of the prevention of the number of casualties during an earthquake disaster is by means of independent evacuation. The community's lack of understanding about the handling of independent evacuation, especially when an earthquake disaster can cause casualties. Students must also have an understanding of self-evacuation in order to improve preparedness and provide knowledge to the wider community. So this research is to determine the effect of independent evacuation training on earthquake disaster preparedness by using a research sample of 110 students conducted in august 2020 by following health protocol because it is still a covid pandemic 19. This type of research is a quasi experimental design with one group pre and posttest with data analysis methods using Wilcoxon showing the p value = 0.000 (p value <0.05) with the results of the research showing that before training was not ready 75%, less ready 35%, ready 0%, and after training the category of not ready is 0%, 14 people are not ready or 13%, and those who are ready are 96 respondents or 86%. So showing independent evacuation training can improve student preparedness against earthquakes.

Abstract

Pembelajaran dalam praktik klinik merupakan komponen penting dalam pendidikan keperawatan mengingat keperawatan merupakan profesi berbasis praktik. Pembelajaran praktik klinik oleh mahasiswa keperawatan memerlukan adanya pengembangan metode yang dapat mempersiapkan mahasiswa untuk dapat mengasah keterampilannya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektifitas modul basic airway management berbasis guided inquiry learning model terhadap keterampilan mahasiswa keperawatan. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan quasi experimental dalam bentuk nonequivalent pretes-postest group design. 50 responden dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling, 25 responden pada kelompok eksperimen, sedangkan 25 responden pada kelompok kontrol. Keterampilan sebelum perlakuan pada kelompok kontrol dinyatakan lulus sebanyak 3 responden (12%) dan kelompok intervensi sebanyak 6 responden (24%). Keterampilan setelah dilakukan perlakuan pada kelompok kontrol dinyatakan lulus sebanyak 11 responden (44%) dan kelompok intervensi sebanyak 15 responden (66%). Data dalam penelitian dianalisis dengan uji Mann-Whitney. Hasil uji menunjukkan nilai p = 0,000 dimana hasil ini menyatakan bahwa Modul Berbasis Guided Inquiry Learning Model cukup efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan mahasiswa. Learning in clinical practice is an important component in nursing education considering that it is a practice-based profession. Learning clinical practice by students requires the development of methods that can prepare students to hone their skills. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the basic airway management module based on the guided inquiry learning model on the skills of students. This study was a quantitative study with a quasi-experimental form of nonequivalent pretest-posttest group design. 50 respondents were selected by purposive sampling technique, 25 respondents were in the experimental group, while 25 respondents were in the control group. Before receiving the treatments, 3 respondents (12%) in the control group and 6 respondents (24%) were passed the skills. After receiving the treatment, as many as 11 respondents (44%) in the control group and 15 respondents (66%) the intervention group could pass the skills. The data in the study were analyzed by the Mann-Whitney test. The test results showed the value of p = 0.000 which stated that the Guided Inquiry Learning Model-Based Module is quite effective for improving student skills.

Abstract

Pada masa perawatan di rumah sakit, anak prasekolah dapat mengalami hospitalisasiakibat adanya tindakan invasif seperti pemasangan infus. Pemasangan infus merupakantindakan yang sering menimbulkan nyeri pada anak. Diperlukan terapi nonfarmakologidengan teknik distraksi bercerita agar anak bisa lebih kooperatif dalam pemasangan infus.Storytelling dengan boneka tangan dapat menurunkan nyeri fisiologis, stres dan kecemasandalam mengalihkan perhatian seseorang dari nyeri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untukmengetahui pengaruh metode storrytelling dengan boneka jari terhadap tingkat nyerianak usia prasekolah saat pemasangan infus di rawat inap Puskesmas Weru. Penelitian iniadalah quasi eksperimental design dengan rancangan post test only design. Pengambilansampel dengan incidental sampling sejumlah 19 anak kelompok perlakuan dan 19 anakkelompok kontrol. Tingkat nyeri diukur dengan wong-baker faces pain rating scale. Analisisdata menggunakan uji mann withney. Hasil uji analisis mann withney didapatkan nilai pvalue 0,000 artinya ada perbedaan tingkat nyeri antara kelompok perlakuan dan kelompokkontrol. Kesimpulannya adalah ada pengaruh memberikan perlakuan strorytelling denganboneka jari terhadap tingkat nyeri anak usia prasekolah saat pemasangan infus. Bagiperawat atau tenaga kesehatan lainnya diharapkan untuk melakukan teknik distraksibercerita sebagai terapi nonfarmakologi saat melakukan tindakan invasif agar tingkat nyerianak lebih rendah atau berkurang.
