Abstract

Technology has grown speedily so that people can access the internet and also can communicate with others easily. By means the development of technology, many people use it not only as a communication tool but also for the implementation in the educational world in regard students learn to use computers and all things about technology. Furthermore, students and teacher can also do teaching and learning activities online, Google Classroom, as one of the online learning platforms that applied at SMP YPM 7 Sidoarjo. Based on the background of the study, the purpose of the study focuses to discribe How is the implementation of e-learning by using google classroom at SMP YPM 7 Sidoarjo and what the students’ perception. In order to answer the two formulated research questions, there are two types of instruments in this research. Those obtained from document google classroom and questionnaire. This is a qualitative research design the writer describe the data briefly. This research conducted under the assumptions there are various perceptions towards the implementation of google classroom as E-learning at SMP YPM 7 Sidoarjo. Whereas, the result of the questionnaire explain about the Perception of the student, the instrument showed that the student’s majority had a positive Perspection. The conclusion in this research is there is neccesity to elaborate some suggestions regarding google classroom as e-learning the The teacher should be more explore application of google classroom it self.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop a Moodle-based Learning Management System (LMS) called eLSIDA (e-Learning STKIP PGRI Sidoarjo Asistif), which is validly used by students slow to study at STKIP PGRI Sidoarjo. This study used 3 out of 5 ADDIE models, namely Analysis, Design, and Development. Expert judgment in this study consists of two experts, material experts, and media experts. The research instrument used to obtain research data is a questionnaire. The data that has been obtained is then analyzed using descriptive analysis. Validation results from material experts obtained a score of 92.5%, while the results of media expert validation obtained a score of 95%. Based on the expert judgment assessment shown that eLSIDA that has been developed in general can be declared valid and worth to be used. The media that has been developed can be accessed through http://lms.elsida.ac.id/Although the development of eLSIDA has been considered valid, the effectiveness of the media on eLSIDA needs to be tested further.

Abstract

The goal of this study was to examine how effective YouTube was as a learning medium during pandemic Covid-19 at SDN Bluru Kidul II Sidoarjo. The researchers used quantitative study, specifically the descriptive design, to assess the effect of YouTube as a learning tool used during pandemic Covid-19 on the reading skills of students at SDN Bluru Kidul II Sidoarjo in the academic year 2020/2021. Thirty students from class 6-A in the sixth grade were chosen as purposive samples, with 15 students serving as the experimental group and 15 serving as the control group. Test  were given both before and after the treatment during this experiment. The results demonstrated that there are no statistically significant differences between the experimental and control groups in the pre-test, as the indicator level is (0.723), which is greater than 0.05 and statistically insignificant. Then, in the post-test, there are statistically significant differences between the experimental group and the control group, with the value of the indication level being (0.004), for mean scores of YouTube effectiveness in the experimental group with an average of 8.26 and 7.65 in the control group. The difference in mean scores between groups was statistically significant (t-value = 2.776, p-value =.004). According to the study's findings, the level of efficacy of using YouTube as a teaching tool to increase students' reading skills was extremely high.

Abstract

This study aimed to know how using matching picture game as a strategy in learning vocabulary for young learners can increase students' vocabulary mastery at TK Kristen Petra 12 Sidoarjo in the academic year 2020/2021. The study took four weeks. During the Covid-19 pandemic, an online class met twice a week for 30 minutes each. Between April 3rd and April 28th, 2021, 8 sessions were held to investigate. The research subjects were TK Kristen Petra 12 Sidoarjo of the class B2 consisting 22 children. The researcher and the field note were the instruments. The tests were used to collect data before the study and after the picture game implemented. Before the Picture Game treatment, the students’ performance was below average. 2.71 was the mean. The children’ language mastery vocabulary was limited. The implementation of Picture Game increased the mean score to 3.62. The students used effective approach to obtain accurate results and logical reasoning to achieve their conclusion.

Abstract

The 21st century education has brought crucial impacts on ELT curricula development in Indonesia particularly in secondary education sectors. The ELT curricula should adapt to the global demands by enacting the 21st century skills in the curricula to prepare students to face their future life. However, a dramatic change in ELT curriculum has come along before coming to the most recent curriculum, 2013 ELT curriculum. There have been a lot of debates on the ELT curriculum design and its implementation in the classroom context between teachers and policy makers. Although there is much literature discussing this topic, there is limited number of literature revealing the factors of the emergence such conflicting needs and interest as well as providing some fresh insights toward these factors. To fill this gap, this paper tries to reveal the factors and recommendations into the design of ELT curricula.

Abstract

E-Learning is a moderately new phenomenon where currently the educators and students are grappling with the idea of its implementation and adaptation. E-learning has contributed to the learning process can be done not only in the classroom but any places and every time, especially within the COVID-19 issue. Google Classroom is one of the tools implemented among e-learning scan be applied. The purpose of this research is to identify the students’ perception of the implementation Google Classroom as a learning tool for students of Master of English Education at STKIP PGRI Sidoarjo. Descriptive quantitative method was applied in conducting the research. Questionnaire which was distributed to the 19 students was the instrument of this research. The results showed google classroom as a tool of e-learning is a useful application can be applied during e-learning within the issue of Covid-19 to the second semester students of Master of English Education (MPBI Batch 5) at STKIP PGRI Sidoarjo in regard it is a solution of e-learning in case it is useful, effective and also helps students in assisting in the e-learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada dampak penerapan game berbasis Android terhadap efektivitas pembelajaran online di masa pandemi Covid-19 terkait dengan prestasi mahasiswa di Universitas PGRI Argopuro (UNIPAR) Jember. Dalam penelitian ini, kuasi-eksperimen yang mencakup pre-test dan post-test digunakan sebagai desain penelitian. Purposive sampling digunakan untuk memilih total 48 mahasiswa Universitas PGRI Argopuro (UNIPAR) Jember tahun ajaran 2021/2022; dari mahasiswa tersebut, 24 sebagai kelompok eksperimen, dan 24 sisanya sebagai kelompok kontrol. Selama percobaan ini, tes dilakukan baik sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan diberikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan secara statistik antara kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol dalam pre-test. Hal ini karena tingkat indikator adalah (0.524), yang lebih besar dari 0,05 dan oleh karena itu tidak signifikan secara statistik. Kemudian pada post-test terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan secara statistik antara kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol, dengan tingkat signifikansi (0.002), untuk rerata skor efektivitas game berbasis Android 86.8 pada kelompok eksperimen dan 8.02 pada kelompok kontrol. Ada perbedaan yang signifikan secara statistik antara skor rata-rata kelompok (nilai-t = 2,988, nilai-p = 0,002). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan game berbasis Android sebagai alat pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan prestasi mahasiswa sangat efektif yang merupakan kesimpulan yang dicapai oleh peneliti.

Abstract

In the hybrid learning era, teachers increasingly need flexible and digital materials. Learning process is now conditioned as a need of students to develop their life skills. This process is carried out by teachers, students, parents, related parties, such as media, and the community. However,  not all the materials in the form of videos of learning are available and can be found easily on the internet. The purpose of this research is developing English supplementary materials for grade nine through YouTube platform based on the content, audio, and visual performance. Research & Development (R&D) Model was applied in this research. The findings of the research are the four revisions of the supplementary materials in the ninth grade through YouTube platform: (1)product: there is revision of the content especially for understandable aspect, that is a translation subtitle through YouTube for the content of supplementary materials, (2) lesson plan: some teachers suggest to make  the lesson plan available to accompany and guide them to teach, the writer make and give the lesson plan which used for accompanying the products which can be used, adapted, based on the students characteristics in each school, (3) modul as a systematic written book with simple explanation to make students learn independently is also required, (4) operational direction: the revision of operational direction is conducted by revising the description of supplementary materials which covers direction of learning, exercise and questions related to the supplementary materials.
