Abstract

Prodi pendidikan fisika FKIP Universitas Malikussaleh sebagai salah satu program studi baru yang akan melahirkan guru-guru fisika untuk Aceh kiranya perlu menyiapkan sejak dinilulusannya. Melalui pengajaran mikro diharapkan mahasiswa mampu mengembangkan kemampuan pedagogic dengan baik. Namun, berdasarkan hasil observasi pada pengajaran mikro yang sudah dilaksanakan selama ini, belum mampu meningkatkan kemampuan mengajar mahasiswa dengan baik. Dalam Proses pengajaran mikro mahasiswa hanya menyimak dan hanya beberapa mahasiswa saja yang melakukan bimbingan dengan dosen tentang RPP, silabus dan media yang akan digunakan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan kemampuan mengajar mahasiswa calon guru fisika melalui pengajaran mikroteaching berbasis lesson study Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif-kualitatif, subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa program studi pendidikan fisika yang mendaftarkan mata kuliah pengajaran mikro pada semester VI tahun ajaran 2018/2019. Teknik yang akan digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data dalam penelitian ini adalah obeservasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan pada kemampuan mengajar mahasiswacalon guru terjadi setelah pada siklus kedua. Secara keseluruhan kemampuan mengajar mahasiswa calon guru fisika meningkat signifikan melebihi 60% pada level 2 atau level tertinggi dengan pembelajaran microteaching berbasis lesson study. Oleh karena itu, dapat dikatakan bahwa penerapan model lesoon study dalam pengajaran microteaching dapan meningkatkan kemampuan mengajar mahasiswa calon guru yang ditinjau dari penyusunan RPP dan praktek mengajar.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of gender and nationality on the use of language learning strategies. The population of this study was the students who enrolled and studied in IELI of Flinders University and 34 students became the convenience samples. Strategy Inventory for Language Learner (SILL) questionnaire version 7.0 developed by Oxford (1990) was used as the main instrument of the research. The data analysis in this research used quantitative approach with Cronbach’s α for measuring item reliability, descriptive statistics for demographic data and Independent-Samples T-test for gender differences, and analysis of variance (ANOVA) for nationality differences. The results showed that gender and nationality has had an insignificant effect in the use of language learning strategies.

Abstract

This paper identifies the role of ICT in assessment practices in education. The significant factors that schools and teachers should consider include the benefits it can provide to improve and enhance assessment. The primary focus of this paper is: What are the roles ICT can provide to support assessment in education? ICT has several roles and supports in educational assessment practices. This paper empha-sizes its roles in two parts: testing, and tasks. ICT can be used in testing to administer tests, to score the tests, to analyse the result and to facilitate teachers in assessing learning outcomes. Besides, ICT can be integrated in completing student’s task such as portfolio and project-based assessment. ICT provides opportunities for students to create electronic versions of their portfolio. ICT can also support students to complete their project. It is essential for teachers to realise that the rubric used to assess e-portfolios and projects must also assess students’ technology use.

Abstract

This paper examines lecturers' perceptions of the project-based learning model and assessment on the teaching of English Accounting at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Malikussaleh University. Project-based Learning (PBL) is one of the Merdeka Belajar priority program plans in 2021 which is part of the Kampus Merdeka plan by the Ministry of Education and Culture and Higher Education. Projects in education are one of the assessment instruments used to assess not only learning outcomes but also student learning processes. Students are required to not only learn to understand the material but also learn how to apply knowledge in group work and produce relevant products. The purpose of developing a project-based learning model for accounting students studying English for specific purpose (ESP) is so that they can apply English knowledge to their field of expertise, namely accounting.

Abstract

International Baccalaureate (IB) is a foundation that is headquartered in Geneva whose focus is to foster critical thinking and building problem-solving skills. Its programmes encourages diversity, international mindedness, curiosity and a healthy appetite for learning and excellence. This foundation develops the assessment policies and practices in International School of Paris (ISP). This paper attempts to evaluate the assessment policies implemented in the school. There are four sections mentioned in the ISP assessment policy i.e. assessment principles, assessment purpose, assessment practices and grading practices. The primary focus of this paper is the practice of three ISP assessment sources: ongoing formative teacher assessments, summative assessment tasks and the student as learner. The evaluation of each sources is reviewed and discussed.

Abstract

This study examines the development of project-based learning model for teaching English for Spesific Purpose (ESP) in Accounting Study Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Malikussaleh University. The first stage of data was obtained by conducting interviews with lecturers to obtain preliminary data. Interviews were conducted with lecturers in English courses and lecturers in the Accounting study program to get an idea of the appropriate project material. The second stage is the development of a project-based learning model prototype based on the results of interviews. Furthermore, this prototype was validated by two validators, namely material experts and evaluation and assessment experts. The model was revised based on feedback from the validator to create a project-based learning model that was ready to be implemented. The results of this study create a project-based learning model that can be applied by lecturers in teaching English for accounting in higher education.

Abstract

Kemampuan PCK merupakan elemen penting dalam menentukan keberhasilan seorang guru dalam mengajar dan menentukan pengajaran yang efektif di kelas.Melalui pengajaran mikro diharapkan mahasiswa mampu mengembangkan kemampuan PCK dengan baik.Namun, berdasarkan hasil observasi memperlihatkan bahwa kemampuan PCK mahasiswa masih belum mencapai standar yang diharapkan. Hal tersebut dikarenakan dalam pengajaran mikro selama ini masih sangat monoton, mahasiswa hanya menyimak dan hanya beberapa mahasiswa saja yang melakukan bimbingan dengan dosen tentang RPP, silabus dan media yang akan digunakan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan perangkat pengajaran mikro berbasis lesson study dan menerapkannya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan PCK mahasiswa calon guru pada program studi pendidikan fisika FKIP Unimal. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan pendekatan design research. Kegiatan awal dalam penelitian pengembangan ini adalah penyusunan perangkat perkuliahan dan instrumen penelitian kemudian diuji dan direvisi.Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa program studi pendidikan fisika yang mendaftarkan mata kuliah pengajaran mikro pada semester VI tahun ajaran 2018/2019.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan pada setiap komponen PCK terjadi setelah pada siklus kedua, yaitukomponen pengetahuan pengajaran, pengetahuan siswa dan pengetahuan materi.Secara keseluruhan komponen pedagogical content knowledge setiap mahasiswa calon guru pada prodi pendidikan fisika FKIP Universitas Malikussaleh meningkat signifikan melebihi 50% pada level 2 atau level tertinggi dengan pembelajaran microteaching berbasis lesson study. Oleh karena itu, pada siklus kedua tidak dilakukan revisi lagi dan dianggap draft perangkat perkuliahan pada siklus kedua sudah mencapai tujuan dari penelitian ini. Perangkat perkuliahan yang telah dihasilkan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rencana Pembelajaran Semester (RPS) dan Buku ajar microteaching berbasis Lesson Study.
