Abstract

Modern and cultural heritage buildings’ safety is mandatory. The damage they suffered, especially the heritage buildings, requires the owners and managers to further improve the supervision of the safety aspects. This study aims to identify, assess, and respond to the safety risk of the heritage buildings. This research was conducted in Jakarta utilizing interviews and questionnaires to identify the risks. Experts and other respondents were deliberately chosen were chosen according to their experience. The risks were analyzed by the probability and weight matrices. This study reveals three high risks and provides the solution to reduce the risk. In addition to academic benefits, the findings are beneficial for the owners and suggest the government carry out risk management.

Abstract

In every project, job changes are always happening and almost unavoidable. One of the factors that influence job change is a design change. This study analyzes the design changes that have caused delays in the Jakarta-Merak toll road widening project in the Cikupa area—collecting data using literature studies and questionnaires with five Linkert scales. The analysis used SPSS version 22. The research finding is five variables of design changes and changes due to the land’s location to be used as a project, which are the leading causes of changes in this project’s design.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify risk factors that influence building safety. The damage suffered by cultural heritage building requires the owner and manager of the building to further improve the supervision of the building safety aspects. This research was conducted in Jakarta and the methods used to identify risks were interviews and questionnaires. Risk analysis uses probability and weight matrices. Finally, there are 23 high risks and the solution can be identified for reducing the risk. The results of this study are beneficial for owners of heritage buildings and the government. Furthermore, the results of this study are also beneficial for academics studying the heritage building field as a literature review.
