Abstract

The aim of this research is to examine the effect of cucumber juice on blood pressure of hypertensive patients. The research usedquasy experimental design with non-equivalent control group design which devided into two groups, treatment group andcontrol group. The sampling technique explored purposive sampling with 30 hypertension patients which selected based oninclusion criteria. The sample devided into 15 people of treatment group and 15 people of control group. The patients oftreatment group were given a glass of cucumber juice everyday in a weeks. Where as control group, were not given. The equipmentwas used to measure blood pressure is sphygmomanometer. Data analysis applied were univariate and bivariate by usingdependent sample t test and independent sample t test to show the result. The result of this research showed that mean of meanartery pressure (MAP) of control group before drinking cucumber juice was 117,9 and mean of mean artery pressure (MAP)after drinking cucumber juice was 104,2 which means there was blood pressure difference arround 13,8 of this member with pvalue was 0,000 (less than 0,05). The conclusion is drinking cucumber juice could help patient with hypertension to reduce theirblood pressure.Key words : cucumber juice, blood pressure, hypertension

Abstract

Online game is an internet-based game connected by the internet so it can be played by many players and can affect the players' emotional regulation as it forgets the real world activity as it is only focused on playing games. The main focus of this research was to investigate whether there was a significant relationship between online gaming addiction and emotion regulation of adolescence. This research use descriptive correlational design with cross sectional approach. This study was conducted on 267 samples selected based on inclusion criteria with proportionate stratified random sampling technique. The instrument of this study was a questionnaire which had been modified and examined by validity and reliability tests. The result showed that the majority of respondents are young middle age (15-17 years of age) of 250 respondents (93,6%), most of them were males 235 respondents (88,0%), the mean of respondents who were playing games in 7-9 hours per day was 96 respondents (59,3%). Respondents who were addicted by online games were 107 respondents (40,1%). Respondents who had low emotion regulation were 121 respondents (54,7%). Bivariate analysis with Chi-square test showed p value 0,000 < 0,05. It mean’s that is a relationship between online game addiction and emotion regulation of adolescence. The result findings recommended the adolescence to manage their time and to control them selves in playing online game so that no impact on emotional regulation.Keyword: Adolescents, emotion regulation, online game.

Abstract

Musculoskeletal disorders are disorder occur in bones, joints, muscles, ligaments, tendons and connective tissues. The disturbance occurs in the musculoskeletal system was characterized by pain that decrease the physical ability. Patients with chronic musculoskeletal disorder prefer to treat their pain with complementary therapies, one of that is yoga. This study aims to explore the experiences of patients with musculoskeletal disorder who undergo yoga at Shena Studio. This study used qualitative method with phenomenological approach. The result of this study were obtained after in depth interviews with 3 participants who have different type of musculoskeletal disorders. They were suffering from scoliosis, low back pain with osteoarthritis, and osteoarthritis with osteoporosis. The interview result has been analyzed using Collaizi method. The result of study include 4 themes (1) feelings and experience during yoga (2) motivation to do yoga (3) changing experience after doing yoga (4) participant’s expectations. Accorded to the interview, participant’s revealed feeling healthier, and less pain, otherwise participants also  felt psychologycally chang to become more confident, calm and positive. Participants hoped to continue to take yoga even when the pain erased and disappeared because they apply it in daily activity and have a better self-awareness.  Keywords: experience, musculoskeletal disorders, therapy, yoga
