Abstract

Critical Thinking is an activity that requires detailed thinking to solve problems and make decisions with the aim of being the competence of daily activities and the future. Learning that is a accordance with critical thinking is high level mathematic leraning High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) namely the High Order Thinking process in solving mathematic problems that includes the process of analyze and evaluate. The study aims to determine students critical skills in solving High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) questions. The method used is descriptive qualitative using descriptive methods to solve problems based on the data at the time of the study with a population of class X SMA N 1 KASIMAN school year 2019/2020, a sample of three students taken from the science department. From the research results, one can meet the critical thinking indikator focus, reason, inference, situation, clarity and overiew, while student two meets the critical thinking focus, reason and situation, and the student three also meets the critical thinking indicator focus and reason .

Abstract

Pendekatan problem posing (PPS) sejalan dengan tujuan kurikulum pendidikan matematika di Indonesia, yang memberikan bekal kepada siswa untuk berpikir logis, kritis, cermat, kreatif dan disiplin serta mengetahui kegunaan matematika dalam kehidupan nyata. Penelitian ini menuntut mahasiswa calon guru matematika untuk mengajukan soal matematika PISA likes guna memperkaya wawasan tentang literasi matematis. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan aktifitas guru, aktivitas mahasiswa, hasil belajar mahasiswa dan respon mahasiswa. Metode kuantitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan sampel penelitian sebanyak 31 mahasiswa jurusan pendidikan matematika STKIP PGRI Sidoarjo semester 6. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu pendekatan Problem Posing PISA Likes memberikan kontribusi terhadap kemampuan literasi matematis bagi mahasiswa calon guru.

Abstract

Understanding mathematical material begins with reading, but there are still many students who need reading interest so that it will affect their ability to deal with problems. It is also important to learn mathematics using mathematics learning media. This will motivate students to read the material provided so that students can easily understand it. The purpose of this study is to explain the process and results of developing comics media for comparative material. The development of comic media on this comparison material is to improve students' understanding of the concept of comparison. The quality of this media development is seen from the aspects of validity, effectiveness, and practicality. This research is development research using five stages, namely: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. This research produces a mathematical comic comparison material. The results are: (1) based on the comic media quality assessment for experts, the average score is 4.28 and is included in the very valid classification, (2) based on the results of student learning tests, the media created is declared effective by solving test questions 95% with an average class score of 84.5 and included in the very effective classification, (3) based on the student response questionnaire, the comics media made were declared practical with a total average percentage of 97.2% which were included in the very practical classification. Thus the developed comics media can be used for learning mathematics comparative material.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui penerapan media pembelajaran mathpoly materi persamaan linear satu variabel pada siswa kelas VII SMP ASA CENDEKIA Sedati. Jenis penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksnakan di SMP ASA CENDEKIA Sedati pada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2019/2020. Subjek penelitian ini adalah kelas VII-A yang berjumlah 24 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen. Kelas eksperimen diberi perlakuan pembelajaran matematika materi persamaan linear satu variabel dengan bantuan media pembelajaran mathpoly. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu lembar observasi aktivitas siswa dan lembar angket respons siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan media pembelajaran mathpoly berpengaruh positif pada motivasi belajar siswa pada materi persamaan linear satu variabel. Dengan Rata-rata hasil persentase aktivitas siswa selama kegiatan penggunaan media pembelajaran mathpoly secara keseluruhan sebesar 85.18% dengan kriteria sangat baik dan Rata-rata persentase jumlah respons siswa selama kegiatan penggunaan media pembelajaran mathpoly sebesar 85.41% dengan kriteria sangat positif.

Abstract

Pada saat ini peningkatan teknologi komputer berkembang semakin pesat, peneliti menggunakan komputer dengan aplikasi maple untuk membelajarkan matematika sebagai media pembelajaran khususnya pada persoalan yang berhubungan dengan materi trigonometri. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan memanfaatkan aplikasi Maple terhadap hasil belajar materi Trigonometri kelas X. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam kategoru penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Subyek penelitian yang digunakan yaitu siswa kelas XI di salah satu sekolah SMK swasta daerah Sidoarjo jurusan OTKP (Otomatisasi & Tata Kelola Perkantoran) yang berjumlah 29 siswa. Data dikumpulkan dengan metode pengamatan pada aktivitas guru dan aktivitas siswa serta metode tes untuk mengecek hasil belajar. Hasil observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa dianalisis dengan mencari nilai rata-rata aktivitas untuk menentukan kategori keterlaksanaan pembenaran dan data hasil belajar dianalisis melalui ketercapaian KKM dan ketuntasan klasikal Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa hasil pengamatan aktivitas guru ketika melaksanakan pembelajaran matematika dengan aplikasi maple memperoleh rata-rata nilai 3,75 termasuk kategori sangat baik dan aktivitas siswa selama pembelajaran memperoleh rata-rata nilai 3,28  termasuk kategori sangat baik juga, sedangkan hasil tes belajar siswa diperoleh rata-rata kelas yaitu 79,922 atau dengan demikian nilai rata-rata sudah di atas KKM salah satu sekolah di Sidoarjo dan ketuntasan tes hasil belajar siswa adalah 100% atau seluruh siswa yang ada dikelas dinyatakan tuntas  mengikuti tes, maka pembelajaran menggunakan aplikasi maple sangat baik digunakan untuk siswa kelas XI pada materi grafik fungsi Trigonometri.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the analysis of students abilities in question submission in terms of cognitive style field dependent (FD) and field independent (FI). Qualitative descriptive study is type of this research. The selection of research subjects was carried out using 2 tests, namely GEFT (the Group Embedded Figures Test) and a test problem posing. Then from this study the selected subjects consisted of four students, namely two students who had a field dependent cognitive style and two students who had a field independent cognitive style. The ability to understand information (questions), field dependent subjects and field independent subjects described accurately. what is known in his own language. The ability to plan a question-making, field dependent and field independent subjects clearly describe the plan for making questions. The ability to make questions, field dependent subjects and independent field subjects are able to make questions with a flat image according to the material. The ability to check questions, field dependent subjects and field independent subjects solve them by entering the right formula and using the correct calculations. As well as checking the answers to the questions he made very carefully the correctness of the answers he had completed.

Abstract

This study aims to: determine the effectiveness of the use of instructional media, and determine the practical effect of using instructional media on student learning outcomes. The research method used is descriptive quantitative which aims to describe the practicality of using learning media, the effectiveness of using learning media, and the effect of using learning media on student learning outcomes. The analysis technique used in this study to determine the effect of the practicality of using instructional media on student learning outcomes is simple linear regression analysis. The results showed that the practicality level of learning media was 80%, and the completeness level of students was 76%, so it can be concluded that the learning media developed met practical and effective criteria. The results showed that the assumptions of linear regression were met, namely the data were normally distributed, the data were homogeneous and there was no correlation between the data. So that a simple linear regression test can be carried out partially and the results obtained are tcount = 5.617 which is greater than the value ttable = 2.04841 which means H0 is rejected, so the practicality of using instructional media influences student learning outcomes.
