Abstract

Cempelahu plant (Cordia dichotoma. G. Forst) has distribution and benefits in the Bukit Tamiang-forest area. This study aims to describe the ethnobotany of cempelahu plant in the Bukit Tamiang-forest area, Tanah Laut Regency, to describe the validity and practicality of the contents of the popular scientific book Cordia dichotoma. G. Forst. The research method used is descriptive quantitative research followed by formative evaluation of the Tessmer test for the feasibility of BIP which was developed through the stages of Self evaluations, Expert review and one to one test. The results showed that Cordia dichotoma G. Forst plant has a tap root habit, simpodial stems are round, alternate ovate leaves, compound flowers are bordered, and the fruit is compound type of buni fruit. This plant is used as a medicine for ulcers and can disguise scars. Cordia dichotoma plant. G. Forst has the regional name "cempelahu" taken from the Banjar Campah language which means itching. The results of the development of teaching materials in the form of Popular Scientific Books on the expert review by 2 validators have very valid validation results and the results of the practicality of the contents on the individual test (one to one) by 3 students have very good results.

Abstract

Birik wood (Albizia procera) grows wild in the Tamiang hill forest and is often used by the local community. This study aims to describe the ethnobotany of the Albizia procera plant in the Tamiang hill  forest area, Tanah Laut Regency and describe the validity and practicality of the contents of the popular scientific book on the Albizia procera plant. The research method used was descriptive research for ethnobotany studies and continued with the formative evaluation of the Tessmer test for the feasibility of the developed popular sciencetific book. The results showed that the Albizia procera plant had tree species, had white round stems, sympodial branches, double pinnate compound leaves, unlimited compound flowers, dry true fruit with pod and taproot type. Albizia procera plant is used as stomachache medicine, also used for road shade and livestock feed. The Albizia procera plant is believed by local people if it is burned it will cause the goat hair to fall out. Albizia procera plants are widely used as firewood, building materials and food materials. People in the hill forest area of Tamiang call the Albizia procera plant "birik wood" because of its speckled stems. The results of the development of teaching materials in the form of Popular Scientific Books on expert tests by 2 validators had very valid results, and the practicality of the content by 3 students had very good results. This popular scientific book is to support the Ethnobotany subject.

Abstract

Indonesia as the largest archipelago country in the world has a vast coastline. Various types of ecosystems are scattered on the coast, one of which is coastal forest. One of the functions of coastal forests is as a habitat for flora, including rattan siit (Daemonorops melanochaetes Blume). Siit rattan has a fairly stable commercial value on the market. Its strong structure makes it attractive, not only nationally, even internationally. This study aims to determine the population structure of siit rattan in the coastal forest of Tabanio Village, Takisung District, Tanah Laut Regency. Data collection was done with total roaming techniques, namely along the coastal forest with a width of 50 m and a length of one thousand m to the south. The results of the study were analyzed descriptively. The age of siit rattan (Daemonorops melanochaetes Blume) includes a wide base pyramid, without any stopping or decaying of growth in the pre-reproductive and reproductive phases. Natality rattan siit went well and almost did not experience mortality because the coastal forest of Tabanio Village was guarded by custom by the local community. Environmental factors that inhibit the reproductive rate of siit rattan are air temperatures that were too high from the optimal temperature of siit rattan breeding.

Abstract

Keterampilan berpikir kritis sebaiknya diajarkan sedini mungkin dalam proses pendidikan. Namun dalam pelaksanaannya menghadapi berbagai hambatan, maka dari itu perlu adanya inovasi di bidang pendidikan yang mengarahkan pembelajar untuk selalu berpikir kritis. Botani Tumbuhan Tinggi merupakan salah satu mata kuliah wajib di FKIP Biologi Universitas Lambung Mangkurat, dimana mahasiswa yang mempelajari mata kuliah Botani Tumbuhan Tinggi keterampilan berpikir kritisnya masih rendah, maka perlu bahan ajar pengayaan yang inovatif dan dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritisnya yaitu buku ilmiah populer. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan validitas pengembangan buku ilmiah populer keanekaragaman spesies famili Anacardiaceae. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan Plomp dan Nieveen yang dibatasi pada tahap prototyping phase dimana evaluasi formatif berdasarkan Tessmer. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 3 orang ahli dan 3 orang mahasiswa. Objek penelitian adalah buku ilmiah popular yang dikembangkan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi dan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukan buku ilmiah populer yang divalidasi dikategorikan sangat valid sedangkan uji perorangan buku ilmiah popular menyatakan setuju. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut buku ilmiah popular dinyatakan sangat valid digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Improving the achievement of competencies which are indicators in the study of the quality of education in Indonesia, can be done by procuring quality and innovative teaching materials. This study aims to develop a science learning handout on the human digestive system to improve critical thinking skills for class VIII SMP. Development is done by (Educational Design Research). This study aims to develop a science learning handout on the human digestive system to improve critical thinking skills for class VIII SMP. This article describes the results of the validity and practicality of science learning handouts on the human digestive system. The instrument used in this study was a validity and practicality questionnaire. Data analysis techniques include descriptive data analysis, validation sheets, and questionnaires. The handout validation sheet is given to 5 validators. Instead, 31 grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 5 Banjarmasin were given practice sheets. The results of the validity questionnaire analysis concluded that the validity of the handout was 3.67 very valid categories. Practicality test of content average of 87.41 was obtained in the very practical category. The results of the practicality test of expectations average of 87.78 in the very practical category. Finally, the actual practicality test results average of 85.65 with a very practical category. This means that science handouts are valid and practical in the learning process to practice critical thinking skills

Abstract

The people of Kandangan Baru Village have traditional wisdom in utilizing plants. The plants are used as medicine or economic materials. One of them is Claoxylon indicum in the Bukit Tamiang Forest, Tanah Laut Regency which can be used as a value of local wisdom for the local community. The purpose of this study was to describe the validity of the ethnobotany scientific work of Indian geranium as supporting material for ethnobotany. This study uses a development research method with the Educational Design Research (EDR) model and formative evaluation of the Tessmer exam. Teaching materials are in the form of a Popular Scientific Book entitled The Ethnobotany Study of Claoxylon indicum Plants in the Bukit Tamiang Forest Area in the expert test by two validators with a score of 94.4% as well as the practicality of the content for the individual test (one to one) by 3 biology education students of FKIP ULM Banjarmasin who had passed the ethnobotany course had very good results with a score of 3.7.Abstrak Masyarakat Desa Kandangan Baru memiliki kearifan tradisional dalam memanfaatkan tumbuhan. Tumbuhan digunakan sebagai obat atau bahan ekonomi. Salah satunya adalah Claoxylon indicum di Hutan Bukit Tamiang Kabupaten Tanah Laut yang dapat dijadikan sebagai nilai kearifan lokal bagi masyarakat setempat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan validitas karya ilmiah etnobotani geranium India sebagai bahan pendukung etnobotani. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian pengembangan dengan model Educational Design Research (EDR) dan evaluasi formatif ujian Tessmer. Bahan ajar berupa Buku Ilmiah Populer yang berjudul Kajian Etnobotani Tumbuhan Claoxylon indicum di Kawasan Hutan Bukit Tamiang pada uji pakar oleh dua validator memiliki hasil validasi sangat valid dengan skor 94,4% serta hasil kepraktisan isi untuk uji perorangan (one to one) oleh 3 mahasiswa pendidikan biologi FKIP ULM Banjarmasin yang telah lulus mata kuliah etnobotani memiliki hasil sangat baik dengan skor 3,7.
