Abstract

Liquid organic fertilizer is fertilizer that is applied to the leaves. The advantage of fertilizer application through leaves is that nutrients are more easily absorbed by plants, both macro and micro nutrients. This study aims to determine the time intervals of fertilization and differences in the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer on the growth and yield of red spinach, as well as to determine the interaction between the two. The treatment used was the time of fertilization and the difference in the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer. The results showed that the timing of fertilization had a significant effect on the weight of red spinach plants. The time interval of fertilization every 3 days gave better results, namely 18.94 g. And there is no interaction between time interval and concentration of liquid organic fertilizer on the growth and yield of red spinach for all variables.

Abstract

Dragon fruit is one type of plant that is quite popular in Indonesia because of its sweet taste and high selling price. Dragon fruit has various types, including dragon fruit with red flesh, white flesh with yellow skin color and red skin with white flesh. Dragon fruit contains high betacharotene and antioxidants to prevent cancer and ward off free radicals. The fiber content in it can facilitate digestion, prevent colon cancer, and cope with diabetes. The objectives of this study were to determine effect of length stem cuttings on the growth of red dragon fruit cuttings, effect of different methods of giving between immersion and watering coconut water on the growth of dragon fruit cuttings, and interaction lengths cuttings and how to give coconut water to the growth of dragon fruit cuttings. The results showed that red dragon fruit stem lengths of 25 cm and 30 cm give better results than 15 cm and 20 cm. Dragon fruit stem lengths of 25 cm and 30 cm had a significant effect on bud emergence variables, number of shoots, average shoot length per cuttings and number of roots, but the root length variables, root wet weight and root shoot ratio were not significantly different. The method of giving coconut water shows that watering is better than soaking. but on the variable number of shoots per cuttings, the average length of shoots per cuttings, root wet weight and root crown ratio had no significant effect. There is no interaction between rod length and means giving coconut water to the growth of red dragon fruit cuttings on all observed variables.

Abstract

This research was conducted at the STIPER Dharma Wacana Metro Experimental Garden, Rejomulyo Village, Metro Selatan Subdistrict, metro city from October 2020 to December 2020. This study used a complete randomized block design arranged in a factorial with three replications. The first factor is concentration (K) which consists of three levels, namely k1 = 2ml / l, k2 = 7ml / l, and k3 = 10.5ml / l. The second factor was the storage time for the seed material (L), which consisted of three levels of l1 = 3 days, 12 = 5 days, and 13 = 7 days. The results showed that, the concentration of PGR had no significant effect on the growth of sugarcane seeds except for the percentage of shoot growth, the best PGR concentration was found at 2 ml / l. The storage time for seed material had no significant effect on the growth of sugarcane seeds. There was no interaction between the concentration of PGR and the storage time for sugarcane seedlings on the growth of sugarcane seeds.

Abstract

The study was conducted in Lampung Province with consideration for soil fertility in rice fields are planted with rice tends to go down, so that the harvest of dry grain production leveling off. The method used is a survey method, including primary data collection through interviews using questionnaires. Identification of using soil conditioner collected to reveal information about the type of soil conditioner that is known farmers and types soil conditioner once used by farmers. The aim of this study were: (1) an inventory of the type soil conditioner known and used by farmers, as well as the resources and applications dose; (2) determine the benefits and constraints use soil conditioner at the farm level, (3) to study soils conditioner prospect to increase land productivity. The results showed that the organic matter, soil conditioner types known and used in Central Lampung District is Zeolite Agro 2000, ZP.30 (enrichment zeolit with P nutrient) and dolomite, whereas in the East Lampung District is a regular zeolite and dolomite. The use of soil conditioner in both districts useful to increasing the production of rice crop about 10-30%, also improve soil fertility and increase the efficiency of nutrient uptake of inorganic fertilizers.

Abstract

Organic fertilization of cow manure bokashi and inorganic fertilizer SP-36 is an alternative to improve soil fertility in red-yellow podzolic soil. However, due to its slow availability, the application of this fertilizer from previous plantings still leaves residue to improve the quality of mung beans in subsequent plantings. The aims of the study were to determine: 1) The effect of various residual doses of bokashi fertilizer on the growth and yield of mung bean. 2) The effect of various residual doses of SP-36 fertilizer on the growth and yield of mung bean. 3) Interaction of various doses of bokashi and SP-36 fertilizer residues on the growth and yield of mung bean. The research was carried out in the experimental garden of the Dharma Wacana College of Agricultural Sciences, Margorejo Subdistrict, Metro City, from February to April 2021. The study used a Complete Randomized Block Design which was arranged in a factorial manner with three replications. The first factor was residues of cow manure Bokashi fertilizer (B) which consisted of three levels, namely dose of 5 tons/ha (b1), 10 tons/ha (b2), and 15 tons/ha (b3). The second factor was SP-36 (P) fertilizer residue which also consisted of three levels, namely dose of 150 kg/ha (p1), 200 kg/ha (p2), and 250 kg/ha (p3). The results showed that residues of various doses of bokashi and SP-36 had no significant effect. No interaction was found between residues of bokashi fertilizer and SP-36 on the growth and yield of mung bean. However, mung beans show a fairly good production.
