Abstract

Kebutuhan akan lahan hunian merupakan masalah yang sering dijumpai pada masa kini. Salah satu faktor utamanya adalah semakin terbatasnya keberadaan lahan, terutama di kawasan pesisir yang penyelesaiannya sering di wujudkan dengan menambah luas lahan permukiman melalui reklamasi pada batas-batas pantai. Seperti halnya pada kampung nelayan Sukolilo, dikarenakan keterbatasan lahan di permukiman, berdampak pada kurangnya fasilitas penunjang seperti ruang terbuka. Konversi lahan juga banyak dijumpai di jalan lingkungan kampung, jalan dan teras  rumah di alih fungsi menjadi tempat penunjang ekonomi. Solusi yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat yaitu reklamasi dalam skala kecil dan bertahap pada bibir pantai pesisir tersebut. Namun, reklamasi belum tergolong solutif bagi permukiman pesisir ini. Reklamasi secara massif dan spontan menimbulkan trauma pada ekosistem lingkungan eksisting. Maka, penulis berusaha untuk menghadirkan solusi dengan menerapkan metode perancangan kontekstual pada kawasan pesisir dengan harapan agar terciptanya lingkungan dan cara hidup yang baru bagi masyarakat pesisir Sukolilo. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif – kualitatif dengan metode rancang arsitektur kontekstual. Penulis menggunakan metode pengumpulan data kualitatif dengan langkah observasi, pengumpulan data visual, dan wawancara dengan warga asli dari kampung nelayan Sukolilo, serta pengumpulan data dari dokumen literatur dan teori yang telah ada. Hasil dari perancangan adalah pengembangan kawasan pesisir dalam bentuk permukiman terapung yang memertahankan konteks lokal sebagai alternatif dari upaya reklamasi wilayah pesisir.

Abstract

The moral decline of the nation's children is the most important issue today, and one of the solutions to solve it is through character education according to Islamic teachings in Islamic boarding schools. The Bin Baz Putra Islamic Boarding School is one of the Islamic boarding schools located in Piyungan, Bantul, Yogyakarta Special Region. As an educational institution, Islamic boarding school should apply a behavioral architectural approach as the basis for designing Islamic boarding school. So the purpose of this study is to examine the application of behavioral architecture in Bin Baz Putra Islamic Boarding School which is carried out using descriptive qualitative research methods from literature sources related to Islamic religious education in Islamic boarding schools and behavioral architecture, as well as a source of observations to collect informative data from boarding school object. The focus of the research is focused on the qualitative assessment of the area and facilities of the Bin Baz Putra Islamic Boarding School against several principles of behavioral architecture according to Carol Simon Weisten and Thomas G. David who then concluded that the Bin Baz Putra Islamic Boarding School in Bantul is still lacking in the application of behavioral architecture aspects, especially in physical comfort. students where bedrooms and student classrooms are not large enough to accommodate the number of students total 40 people.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service is to provide assistance to low-income communities by utilizing patchwork into innovative products and being able to market products in the marketplace. The target audience, namely residents of RW 3, Benowo sub-district, Pakal sub-district, Surabaya. The method used is participatory and intensive assistance in the form of activities: 1) training on making products from patchwork; 2) training on how to make product designs; 3) Digital marketing training through social media platforms. The results of the dedication are able increase the income of the poor and form green behavior. In particular, this program has been able to provide knowledge on the manufacture of innovative products made from patchwork; Designing products from patchwork; and product marketing skills on the market place at the UKM Jurang Kuping Kreatif Pakal Surabaya.

Abstract

This service activity aims to provide skills and creative ideas to the community in Rejosari RW 03, Benowo Village, Pakal District, Surabaya, by utilizing patchwork waste into items of economic value so that it is expected to be able to produce home industry that can increase family income. This community service activity used the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method. Through the sospeso technique, the remnants of cloth that should be thrown away could be processed into handicrafts that have economic value and become potential for creative industries. The evaluation was carried out during the training process through the involvement and abilities of the participants while post-training through the level of completion of the material that was evaluated by observing and examining the work as well as giving a question-and-answer questionnaire. The results of this service activity provided creative ideas to housewives of Rejosari RW 03 by utilizing patchwork waste into sospeso products that decorated and beautified the appearance of bags, wallets, sandals, and other household items. The brooch could improve the skills of housewives, increase family income and maintain a clean environment, and increase value (product selling value).

Abstract

The Independent Learning Campus Independent Policy (MBKM) in the world of education is a breakthrough by government to bring the world of work closer to the world of education. The MBKM learning model encourages student to be mopre adaptive in facing the world of work that demands competencies and abilities from various diciplines. To implement the MBKM program, Higher Education (PT) prepares implementation guidelines for student. The implementation MBKM activity guide book will be easy to understand if it uses effective and communicative language, for that aguide book is needed that is prepared in the form of flow/procedure infographic design. Infographics are text-shaped information media with a combination of image, graphics ilustrations and typography so that it s more attractive and easier to understand. Faculty Excellence Product Research entitled Infographic Booklet for MBKM Guide” aim to make easier for student to understand the content of procedures for implementating MBKM activities. The methods and steps for compiling infografics booklet consist of the pre-production stage, namely collecting and managing MBKM guide data information and documenting library sources about infographics. Next is the production stage, which is determining the type of information and visual design using infographic techniques packaged in the form of booklet. Finally the post production stage, namely the finishing of the MBKM guide booklert which is printed and distributed to the entire acedemic community in the form of hardcopy and softcopies uploaded on the UPN “Veteran” Jawa Timur website.
