Abstract

Every year the population that continues to increase causes the need for vegetables to also increase. So to meet the needs of consumers celery production needs to be increased. Therefore, it is necessary to look for alternative efforts to increase the yield of celery cultivation, one of which is the application of Bokashi fertilizer. Bokashi is the result of fermentation of organic ingredients with EM4 technology. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving Bokashi on the growth and yield of celery (Apium graveolens L.) and to determine at what dose the application of Bokashi fertilizer on growth and production of celery plants (Apium graveolens L.). The research was conducted at Jalan Sempurna Pasar 7 Termbung and the wet weight of celery was carried out at the Biology laboratory, Faculty of Science and Technology, State Islamic University of North Sumatra, Medan in July 2019 - November 2020. The data obtained were tabulated and analyzed using the One Way Analysis of Variance test. (ANOVA) at the real level (significant) used, namely α = 0.05 and continued with the Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT) to see the significant results between treatments. Data analysis was using the software statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) version 23. The results showed that bokashi fertilizer had a significant effect on plant height and production of celery (Apium graveolens L.) is the D4 treatment with a dose of 40 grams. graveolens L. ). 5.1.2 The optimum dose of bokashi fertilizer which has a significant effect on the growth

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the development, validity and effectiveness of plant diversity modules based on the use of medicinal plants by the Batak ethnic group of North Sumatra as a source of learning biology for class X IPA students. The type of research is Research and Development using the design developed by Sugiyono through seven stages. The research instruments are validation sheets, trial questionnaires and learning achievement tests. The results showed that the percentage of final validation increased, namely material experts 98.96%, language experts 87.5%, media experts 81.25%, small-scale student responses 88.21%, large-scale student responses 89.68% and biology teacher responses 96.05% with very valid categories. The average N-Gain Score on small-scale and large-scale tests is 0.72 and the percentage is 72.17%, which is quite effective. So it can be concluded that the modules developed are valid and effective to be used as biology learning resources.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis telur cacing, prevalensi serta intensitas serangan endoparasit yang ditemukan pada 60 feses kambing. Sampel feses kambing di ambil di Kecamatan Kotarih Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai dan menggunakan metode sedimentasi dan MC. Master. Hasil yang diperoleh terdapat 14 spesies jenis telur cacing yaitu Paramphistomum sp., Haemonchus sp., Oesophagustomum sp., Strongyloides sp., Ostertegia sp., Trichostrongylus sp., Fasciola sp., Cooperia sp., Dicrocoelium sp., Moniezia sp., Ascaris sp., Bunostomum sp., Trichuris sp. dan Strongylus sp. Prevalensi tertinggi telur cacing ditemukan pada pola pemeliharaan intensif yaitu spesies Haemonchus sp. 87% dengan kategori Usually (Biasanya) dan pada pola pemeliharaan ekstensif yaitu spesies Ascaris sp., Bunostomum sp., Strongylus sp. dengan nilai prevalensi 3% dalam kategori kadang yang artinya infeksinya kadang. Intensitas serangan telur cacing endoparasit yang tertinggi ditemukan pada pola pemeliharan ekstensif yaitu spesies Paramphistomum sp. dengan nilai intensitas 34 termasuk dalam kategori sedang yang artinya infeksinya sedang dan intensitas terendah ditemukan pada pola pemeliharaan intensif yaitu spesies Fasciola sp. dengan nilai intensitas 0,8 termasuk dalam kategori sangat rendah yang artinya infeksinya sangat rendah
