Abstract

Character building memang sedang marak digaungkan oleh civitas akademika untuk terus dikembangkan dalam ranah pendidikan di sekolah. Dengan character building ini diharapkan dapat menurunkan tingkat degradasi moral para pemuda di Indonesia. Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mendiskripsikan proses penguatan character building sekolah adiwiyata nasional di Kabupaten Pamekasan. Bagaimana kurikulum berbasis lingkungan hidup diterapkan, bagaimana desain perencanaan pembelajaran dilakukan, serta karakter apa saja yang dikuatkan dan mendiskripsikan bagaimana proses penguatan nilai- nilai karakter tersebut. Penelitian ini merupakan sebuah studi kasus yang dilakukan di sekolah adiwiyata nasional yaitu MTsN 2 Pamekasan. Data yang diperoleh oleh peneliti melalui observasi, wawancara serta dokumentasi kegiatan adiwiyata di sekolah tersebut.  Sedangkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa MTsN 2 Pamekasan menerapkan semua komponen dalam program adiwiyata dan melakukan internalisasi kepada semua warga sekolah untuk melaksanakannya. Konten Adiwiyata juga ditambahkan dalam perencanaan pembelajaran sampai penilaian yang dilakukan oleh guru dala setiap POKJA (Kelompok Kerja) di luar kelas, dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler, dan aktivitas lingkungan berbasis partisipatif untuk mengukur sejauh mana keberhasilan program Adiwiyata itu sendiri.(Character building has been loudly spoken by many environmental practitioners including teachers to be developed in education side. It is expected to decrease the moral degradation of Indonesian?s youths. This study is trying to describe the process of strengthening the students? character building in a National Adiwiyata School Pamekasan Regency. How the school applies the environmental based curriculum, how the teachers design the teaching preparation containing adiwiyata content, what are the characters being built. How the teachers strengthen the students? characters are the focus of this study. This is a study case which is done in National Adiwiyata School MTsN 2 Pamekasan. The result shows that beside the implementation of all components of Adiwiyata Program, the school also did internalization to make sure that all elements of the school inserted Adiwiyata content in all aspects of education. The contents of Adiwiyata are also added into the design of teaching preparation and the teachers did evaluation on the students? role in the POKJA (group work) outside the class, in the extracurricular activity, and in the participative based environmental activity to know the reinforcement works well.)

Abstract

The development of English as international language requests for bigger requirements in all aspects of life, especially education field. Automatically, teachers are supposed to have English competence in keeping up the students? development. Islamic education teachers (PAI) are suggested to use English in teaching or at least they use English in giving instruction in the classroom. Since this way of teaching is as one of the requirements of an international school. This way is also supporting the school in gaining the people?s trust. The strategy used in empowering the Islamic education teachers in teaching using English is set in a form of community engagement (PKM). The schools chosen are all school under the Asyahidul Kabir institution from the Islamic elementary school, Islamic junior high school, and Islamic senior high school. This engagement is divided into two sessions. First session is for the educating session and the second one is for the practice. For the educating sessions, it is clearly seen that instruction in English help the teacher very much, although the pronunciation still needs to be corrected. While in the practice session, they are still nervous in using some instruction because they have to teach their friends in peer teaching. But overall the sessions ran well. When the facilitator passed these two sessions, she will do some observation on the Islamic education classroom to ensure that they have practiced using English in giving instruction well. The result from the observation show that the weakness of the teacher is in the preparing stage. The teachers still need to pay more attention on the students? need and students? readiness.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThere are two problems that become the main study in this study, namely first;  What are the forms of religious culture in SDN Pagendingan 2 Galis Pamekasan ?, Second; What are the supporting and inhibiting factors for the implementation of religious culture in SDN Pagendingan 2 Galis Pamekasan. In this study, researchers used qualitative research methods, this type of research is descriptive.  With the procedure of collecting data through interviews of the Principal and direct observations. While checking the validity of the data is done by extending the presence of researchers and triangulation. The results of this study are as follows: First;  the forms of pesantrenan culture in SDN Pagendingan 2 Galis Pamekasan include the following: 1) dhuha prayer in congregation;  2) read juz amma before the lesson begins;  3) reading the prayer before the lesson;  4) tahfidz program;  5) Dhuhr prayer in congregation: 6) recite the prayer before going home from school;  7) carrying out santri day: 8) carrying out the Prophet's birthday: 9) reading the yasin and istighasah together every Friday sweet: 10) doing the ramadan hut;  11) compensation for orphans in Ashura, second;  Supporting factors for the implementation of religious culture in SDN Pagendingan 2 Galis Pamekasan in implementing pesantrenan culture can be divided into three factors, namely: 1. Teacher factors,, 2. Student factors, and 3. Parent factors.  While the inhibiting factors of the implementation of religious culture in SDN Pagendingan 2 Galis Pamekasan in the implementation of religious culture consists of two factors, namely: 1. Student factors, and 2. Parental factors. ABSTRAKAda tiga permasalahan yang menjadi kajian pokok dalam penelitian ini, yaitu pertama; Apa saja bentuk-bentuk budaya religius di SDN Pagendingan 2 Galis Pamekasan?, Kedua; Apa saja faktor pendukung dan penghambat implementasi budaya religius di SDN Pagendingan 2 Galis Pamekasan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif, jenis deskriptif. Dengan prosedur pengumpulan data melalui wawancara dan observasi langsung. Sedangkan pengecekan keabsahan data dilakukan melalui perpanjangan kehadiran peneliti dan triangulasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut: Pertama; bentuk-bentuk budaya kepesantrenan di SDN Pagendingan 2 Galis Pamekasan antara lain adalah sebagai berikut: 1) shalat dhuha berjama`ah; 2) membaca juz amma sebelum pelajaran dimulai; 3) membaca do`a sebelum pelajaran; 4) program tahfidz; 5) shalat dhuhur berjama`ah: 6) membaca do`a sebelum pulang sekolah; 7) melaksanakan hari santri: 8) melaksanakan maulid Nabi: 9) pembacaan surat yasin dan istighasah bersama setiap hari jum`at manis: 10) melakukan pondok ramadhan; 11) santunan anak yatim di bulan asyura., Kedua; faktor pendukung implementasi budaya religius di SDN Pagendingan 2 Galis Pamekasan dalam implementasi budaya kepesantrenan dapat dibedakan menjadi tiga faktor, yaitu: 1. Faktor guru, 2. Faktor siswa, dan 3. Faktor orang tua. Sedangkan faktor penghambat implementasi budaya religius di SDN Pagendingan 2 Galis Pamekasan dalam implementasi budaya religius terdiri dari dua faktor yaitu: 1. Faktor siswa, dan 2. Faktor orang tua.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know whether indirect coded feedback gives a better effect on students’ writing ability rather than direct feedback. the design used in this experimental research was randomized group post test only design. The researcher did lottery to every student to divide them into A and B class. Then the experimental group and the control group were randomly chosen by a flip coin. A class or the experimental group was given correction by using codes on the errors they made in their first draft or indirect coded feedback, while B class or control group was given the correct form of the errors or direct feedback on their first draft. The treatments were done three times and the result of post-test then was analyzed. The result of the data analysis that gotten from the statistical computation of the post test result showed that the t-value was higher than that of t-table. This indicated that students who got indirect coded feedback have better writing ability than the students who got direct feedback on their writing.

Abstract

This article discusses the phenomenon of the reciting QS. Yāsīn and QS. al-Ra'd to people who experience critical conditions such as for someone who becomes the door of death (Sakarat al-Maut) which is widely done in Sumenep Madura Regency. Sumenep people assume that reciting surah al-Ra'd and Surah Yasin to people who experience door of death (Sakarat al-Maut) can speed up the process or provide healing, however, in that aspect of the meaning of the two Surah is not related to the phenomenon of door of death (Sakarat al-Maut). This shows that the Sumenep people in this tradition have a different reception from the literal meaning of these two surahs. Therefore, this study aims to see how the Sumenep people's understanding of surah Yāsīn and surah al-Ra'd and how the structure forming the phenomenon of the use of the two Surahs in the phenomenon door of death (Sakarat al-Maut). This article is qualitative type research with the use of field research (field research) or field studies as a research method. The approach used as an analytical method is Edmund Husserl's phenomenological approach. This approach looks at a phenomenon in the absence of the assumptions that accompany it during the process of observation and collection of field data.  The results of this study show that in some areas in Sumenep Regency are commonly recited surah Yāsīn or surah al-Ra'd or surah Muhammad or surah Yāsīn with surah al-Ra'd, or surah Yāsīn with al-Qiyamah, or surah Yāsīn and al-Taubah or surah Yāsīn and al-Kahfi to people who experience door of death (Sakarat al-Maut). The basis of the reading is the Hadith of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and the explanation of the salaf books.

Abstract

Bullying is aggressive behavior that affects children’s social development. The number of bullying cases in Indonesia shows that schools as educational institutions have not been able to provide optimal protection for students. A child-friendly school model is expected to reduce bullying at schools in Indonesia. This research aimed to analyze child-friendly school strategies to reduce bullying at elementary schools. It used a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis whose instrument adopted a child-friendly school model developed by UNICEF. The data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. There are 73 participants in this research, including the headmaster, teachers, students and parents chosen by random sampling technique. The technique for data analysis included data condensation, data display, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that child-friendly school efforts to reduce bullying included several aspects that adapted to the model developed by UNICEF. The strategies applied to reduce bullying were through life skills-based learning activities (public speaking and gardening) and character-based learning activities (reciting the Qur'an and praying in congregation). In conclusion, the strategies of a child-friendly school in anticipating bullying in elementary school can be done by developing life skill education and various character based learning activities.
