Abstract

ABSTRACT This article discusses about the fishing ritual of Bajo ethnic in Tanjung Pinang village Kusambi district Muna regency. There are several things that become focus in this discussion that are the kinds of fishing ritual and its implementation of Bajo ethnic in the village of Tanjung Pinang. Then, analyze the changes of fishing ritual activities because the interaction with outside communities. The methods of data collection in this research are observation and interviews. The types of data in this study are primary and secondary data that analyzed by using qualitative data analysis. The results of this study indicated that the fishing ritual activities carried out when occur a decline of marine management and frequent accidents at sea. Aspects related to fishing ritual were religious, economic, psychological, democracy, environmental, social, and health aspects. The changes occurred in the form of the change of mindset and value in the community. The causes of the change was due to transmission constraints, the amalgamation, the high interaction with the outside communities, the inclusion of communication technology, electronic media and the influence of religious sects. Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini terfokus pada pengobatan tradisional suku Bajo di Desa Tanjung Pinang Kecamatan Kusambi Kabupaten Muna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis pengobatan tradisional yang terdapat pada suku Bajo di Desa Tanjung Pinang Kecamatan Kusambi KabupatenMuna, teknik atau cara dalam meramu atau membuat obat tradisional untuk menyembuhkan suatupenyakit dan efektivitas atau yang dirasakan pasien setelah dilakukan pengobatan. Teknikpengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini yaitu data primer dan data sekunder. Untuk memperolehdata tersebut dapat menggunakan pedoman wawancara, semantara alat bantu yang digunakanberupa alat perekam dan alat dokumentasi. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian iniadalah analisis data kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa etiologi penyakit dalamkonsepsi orang Bajo di Desa Tanjung Pinang disebabkan oleh dua hal yaitu makhluk halus berupa jinatau setan dan faktor alamiah. Penyakit yang disebabkan oleh jin dan setan hanya dapat disembuhkanmelalui penguatan tradisional melalui perantara seorang dukun, sementara penyakit yang disebabkan oleh faktor alamiah dapat diobati menggunakan pengobatan rumah sakit atau medis modern.Sementara, penyebab penyakit menurut pemahaman orang Bajo disebabkan oleh hukuman dariTuhan, hila sumanga’na (hilang badan halusnya), penyakit kamaluta, dan penyebab penyakit karenadicalla ale nabima di lao. Penyembuhan penyakit yang disebabkan oleh sistem personalistik yaitumelalui media air putih yang dibacakan mantera, meniup langsung pada bagian tetentu pada sipenderita, atau berkomunikasi dengan si penderita. Sementara pengobatan dengan sistemnaturalistik yaitu melalui ramuan tanaman obat yang ada di lingkungan mereka. Kata kunci: penyakit, pengobatan, suku Bajo.

Abstract

This article is the result of a study entitled The Function of Mangaho on Wuna Tribe conducted in the village of Wale-ale District of Tongkuno Muna. The problem in this research is to search the implementation, the function among the lives of Muna and how the model development of mangaho. The data is collected by observation and interview. There are two types of data, primary and secondary. Primary data is data obtained directly in through the community, while secondary data is data obtained through the available documents. The data is analyzed using qualitative data analysis. The implementation process of mangaho consists of eight (8) steps. The first is Kamafaka (consultative meeting Consensus), the second is Dehambi ganda (hitting drums), the third is Dohunsa Kampanaha (putting betel nut), the forth is Defofinda Anahi Kahubu (small children set foot on the ground), the fifth is Doehe saha saha hobhine be mohane (Syaha' men and Syaha' women standing), the sixth is Do mangaho haeati (the presentation of mangaho to the public), the seventh is Kabasano kasalamatino Liwu (read prayers for the safety of the village), and the last is Doeheho linda (implementation linda dance) and Dopogaatimo (farewell). Mangaho development model in the village of Muna in Wale-ale is human resource development. This is including increase knowledge about the traditional art of mangaho, and to bring out professionals tour guide in the art and culture. Other development model is the formation of traditional art cottage as a platform to delivers talents of young generation. To achieve all, we need the role of the government and other parties to provide capital assistance to support the development of mangaho. In addition, promotion of mangaho is highly needed. The promotion can be in the form of traditional art performance in order to attract investors fields of art and culture. Keywords: process, model development, mangaho

Abstract

This article is part of a research entitled Tourism Development Model Based on Local Culture of Southeast Sulawesi Province which takes place in three (3) regions of Muna Regency, Konawe District and Wakatobi Regency. This paper focuses on the readiness of stakeholders in the development of local culture-based tourism in Southeast Sulawesi. This article describes the readiness of stakeholders in the development of tourism destinations based on local culture. During this time, the existing tourism only rely on the uniqueness and beauty of the resort itself without any attempt to create a cultural engineering that juxtaposing local culture with tourism. Thus the tourists are not just visiting enjoy the natural beauty of the resort but at the same time can enjoy and witness the art and cultural attractions that are the assets of the area where the tour is located. This research is qualitative. Methods of data collection in this study are observation method and interview method, while data analysis using qualitative data analysis. The results of this study show the readiness of various parties, namely the readiness of the artists, the readiness of the tourism office, the availability of infrastructure of the main roads in remote villages and the readiness of the local community in accepting tourists.
