Abstract

Penelitian ini fokus terhadap analisis makna kontekstual bahasa dalam iklan cat tembok yang ada di televisi. Adapun rumusan masalah yang terdapat dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimanakah makna kontekstual yang terkandung dalam bahasa iklan cat tembok yang ditayangkan di televisi-televisi Indonesia?. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Iklan cat tembok yang diteliti pada penelitian ini adalah Elastex Waterproof, Aquaproof, dan Dulux. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah makna kontekstual yang terkandung dalam tiga iklan cat tembok yang telah diteliti ini berupa kata dan juga kalimat yang berfungsi untuk menarik minat para pembeli cat tembok. Selain meyakinkan pembeli bahwa produk cat tembok tersebut memiliki kualitas yang baik, pada setiap akhir iklan terdapat pernyataan persuasif guna meyakinkan calon pembeli.

Abstract

This article aims to describe the personal pronouns in Javanese which are used by citizen in the border area of Malang and Blitar Regency. Researcher used qualitative descriptive method in this article with unstructured interviews. There are 3 (three) informants in each research point (TP), so, there are 18 (eighteen) informants in this article. The results of this article is that there are various types of personal pronouns in Javanese. The word awakdewe for first personal pronouns is equivalent with kita in Bahasa Indonesia. The words awakmu, koen, kowe, dan sampean are second personal pronouns which is equivalent with word kamu in Bahasa Indonesia. The words dekne, dek e, and bocahe as the third personal pronouns are equivalent with the word dia. The use of personal pronouns for the citizen in the border area is also influenced by the distribution of cultural areas (tlatah) in East Java.

Abstract

This paper discusses Kompas.com news labelling toward Jennifer Dunn. The research questions that discussed in this paper are how does the form of lexical choices in labelling "pelakor" toward Jennifer Dunn and what ideology was built by Kompas.com in labelling "pelakor" toward Jennifer Dunn? The focus of this paper is the lexical choice found in Kompas.com news labelling toward Jennifer Dunn and the ideology built by Kompas.com. In this paper, the writer uses the method of critical discourse analysis (CDA) by Norman Fairclough (1992) and uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The results of this paper are that Kompas.com news labelling toward Jennifer Dunn is a negative label or a word that has a negative connotation because the word ‘pelakor' is identical with destroying other people's relationship, and the ideologies built by Kompas.com is to perpetuate patriarchally. AbstrakPenelitian ini membahas tentang Labelisasi Portal Berita Kompas.com terhadap Jennifer Dunn. Permasalahan yang dibahas dalam artikel penelitian ini adalah bagaimana bentuk pemilihan kata yang terdapat dalam labelisasi “pelakor” pada Jennifer Dunn dalam Kompas.com dan bagaimana ideologi yang dibangun oleh Kompas.com dalam pelabelan “pelakor” pada Jennifer Dunn? Fokus dari penelitian ini adalah pemilihan kata atau lexical choices yang terdapat pada labelisasi portal berita Kompas.com terhadap Jennifer Dunn serta ideologi yang dibangun oleh Kompas.com dalam pelabelan terhadap Jennifer Dunn. Pada penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan metode analisis wacana kritis (AWK) oleh Norman Fairclough (1992) dan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah labelisasi yang dilakukan oleh portal berita Kompas.com terhadap Jennifer Dunn adalah label negatif atau kata yang berkonotasi negatif sebab kata pelakor identik dengan perusak hubungan orang lain, serta ideologi yang dibangun oleh Kompas.com adalah melanggengkan nilai patriarki.

Abstract

This article aims to describe the distribution use of the greeting “arek” and “bocah” in the border area of Malang and Blitar Regency. The researchers di three research steps: observation, interview, and introspection. The data of this article are variations of Javanese in the border area of Malang and Blitar Regency, while the data sources are people who live in the border area. There are six research points are Arjosari, Ngreco, Karangkates, Jugo, Kalirejo, and Ngadri. The results of this article are the use of greeting “bocah” which is commonly spoken in Blitar Regency, also spoken by the people in Malang, whose area is adjacent to Blitar Regency. This proves that the dialects of Javanese in Blitar are more potent than the Malang Regency.
