Abstract

ABSTRAK Program Adiwiyata dapat menciptakan kondisi sekolah sebagai tempat pembelajaran siswa untuk penyelamatan lingkungan masa depan. Pengelolaan lingkungan sekolah melalui program Adiwiyata memerlukan tanggungjawab siswa yang dibangun dari persepsi dan kepeduliannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengkaji persepsi siswa, (2) menganalisis faktor yang mempengaruhi persepsi siswa dan (3) mengkaji tingkat kepedulian siswa terhadap pengelolaan lingkungan sekolah melalui program Adiwiyata. Berdasarkan karakteristik rona lingkungan sekolah dipilih SMPN 2 Kendari (sekolah yang terletak di kota lama) dan SMPN 17 Kendari (sekolahyang terletak di kota baru) sebagai tempat penelitian, dengan sampel sebanyak 94 orang. Hasil penelitian meriunjukkan persepsi siswa pada sekolah yang terletak di kota lama dikategorikan sedang sedangkan di kota baru dikategorikan tinggi. Pengetahuan dan sosial ekonomi mempengaruhi persepsi siswa tersebut. Tingkat kepedulian siswa pada sekolah di kota lama dikategorikan sedang, sementara di kota baru dikategorikan tinggi. Hal ini berkorelasi dengan persepsi siswa, untuk itu peran guru untuk menginternalisasikan nilai kepedulian lingkungan pada siswa amat dibutuhkan.ABSTRACT Adiwiyata program can create school conditions as a student learning to save environmental for future. School environmental management trough Adiwiyata program requires student responsible built concern and perceptions. The research aims: asses perception the student, analyzing thefactor that influencesperception and asses awarness level of the students to the school environment management trought Adiwiyata program. Based on the environmental hue selected school in the urban area (SMPN 2 Kendari) and the sub urban area (SMPN 17 Kendari) as a research location and as a sampling obtained 94 "SMP students. Analysis showed perception of student in the urban area were medium category and student in the sub urban area were high category. Knowledge of student toward Adiwiyata program and sosioeconomic infuence the student perception. The awareness level of students in urban area were medium category and the student in sub urban area were high category. This correlates with the perception of students, to the role of teacher to internalize the value of environmental awareness in students is required.

Abstract

Pentingnya mengetahui kandungan logam nikel (Ni) dalam air laut dan persebarannya disekitaran Teluk Kendari, Sulawesi Tenggara karena kebolehjadian terjadinya pencemaran limbah domestik dan akumulasi sedimentasi di badan perairan yang terbawa melalui aliran sungai dan drainase perkotaan. Penelitian ini menyajikan beberapa korelasi antara aktivitas keramaian masyarakat dengan tingkat kandungan logam Ni disekitaran Teluk Kendari yang dianalisis menggunakan instrumentasi spektroskopi serapan atom (SSA). Penentuan 5 titik lokasi berbeda dipilih berdasarkan banyaknya kegiatan aktivitas masyarakat. Selanjutnya, sampel diambil masing-masing sebanyak 1 Liter sejauh ±100 m dari garis pantai yang selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan instrument SSA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya hubungan aktivitas keramaian kegiatan masyarakat terhadap tingginya kandungan logam Ni yang terakumulasi dalam air laut Teluk Kendari. Kandungan logam Ni yang diperoleh bervariasi berturut-turut T1< T4< T3< T2> T5 yaitu 0,047; 0,052; 0,063; 0,068; 0,073. Berdasarkan baku mutu, standar kandungan Ni dalam air laut sebesar 0,05 mg/L, sehingga pada T2, T3, T4, dan T5 dinyatakan telah melebihi ambang batas. Hal ini disebabkan lokasi tersebut maraknya aktivitas masyarakat sehingga kebolehjadian nilai logam Ni juga meningkat. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini memberikan informasi terkini terkait wilayah pencemaran lingkungan akibat akumulasi logam berat dan juga bagi masyarakat agar tidak mengkonsumsi ikan yang diperoleh dari Teluk Kendari.

Abstract

Increasing the number of vehicles in Kendari could has the potential to increase TRAP exposure in elementary schools located on the side of the highway. The purpose of this study was to describe the emission load of vehicles, the appearance of lichens and to predict exposure to TRAP in Sekolah Dasar Negeri (SDN) on the side of the highway in Kendari City. This study uses a quantitative approach, survey methods with sampling techniques in three different locations. The results showed that the emission burden of vehicles at SDN 6 Kendari and SDN 25 Kendari was higher, the percentage of lichens present was lower and the appearance was duller than SDN 92 Kendari. This condition can be predicted as an initial indication of a decline in air quality at that location due to periodic exposure to TRAP.

Abstract

The high risk of the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic has caused the government set a various of policies to limit citizen mobility. The imposition of this mobility restriction has a significant impact on the environment. This study aims to analyze several physic-chemical waters parameters in Kadia River during the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic. The results of this study indicate that temperature, turbidity, DO at low tide and BOD exceed the required quality standard. The contribution of household domestic waste is very likely to have an effect on the height of some of these parameters, because in the first-year people are more active at home (work from home). The other parameters (DHL, pH, NO2, PO4) are still within the quality standard threshold level. Therefore, it is necessary to control and manage waste water from urban domestic so that the sustainability of river ecosystems can continue in the future.

Abstract

Limbah kulit durian menjadi salah satu permasalahan yang belum banyak dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat sebagai bahan bioadsorben ramah lingkungan. Penelitian ini menghadirkan pemanfaatan limbah kulit durian sebagai media filtrasi untuk mengurangi kadar logam berat kadmium (Cd) dan timbal (Pb) yang terkandung pada air sumur galian. Penyiapan kulit durian dilakukan dengan mengeringkan kulit durian dan memberikan variasi ukuran media filtrasi yaitu 10 cm, 20 cm, dan 30 cm. Media filtrasi kulit durian dimasukkan dalam alat filtrasi yang telah didesain berbasis aliran gravitasi yang mudah dan murah. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan awal kadar Cd dalam air sumur galian sebesar 0,0073 mg/L dan setelah dilakukan perlakuan dapat menurunkan kadar Cd sampai dengan 0,0032 mg/L atau efektifitasnya sampai dengan 55,76% dengan menggunakan media filtrasi 30 cm. Demikian pula kadar Pb sebelum perlakuan memiliki kadar sebesar 0,062 mg/L dan setelah dilakukan perlakuan terjadi penurunan kadar Pb sampai dengan 0,024 mg/L atau efektifitasnya sampai dengan 61,3%. Penurunan kadar logam ini sangat signifikan dan dapat memenuhi standar baku mutu air yang ditetapkan sebesar 0,005 mg/L. Selain itu, faktor penurunan kadar Pb dan Cd dipengaruhi oleh semakin tinggi tumpukan media maka semakin lama waktu kontak air dengan media filter sehingga semakin banyak ikatan kompleks antara selulosa dengan logam berat.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh tingkat kepadatan lalu lintas pada dengan karakteristik makroskopis epiphytic lichen kaitannya dengan kualitas udara di sekolah yang terletak dipinggir jalan. Dalam penelitian didapatkan volume lalulintas harian tertinggi di SDN Poasia sebanyak 8.065 kend/hari, di SDN 2 Baruga sebanyak 7.948 kend/hari dan di SDN 18 Baruga sebanyak 366 kend/hari sedangkan kehadiran ephypitic lichen persentase kehadiran ephypitic lichen tertinggi di SDN 18 Baruga sebanyak 90% dengan warna talus cerah dan tebal, sedangkan pada SDN 2 Baruga 67% dan SDN 1 Poasia 66% dengan warna talus kusam dan tipis. Uji Spearman’s rank correlation didapatkan rs = -1,00 dan Pvalue (0,0); Pvalue (0,0) <  (0,01) maka H0 : s = 0 ditolak, artinya semakin tinggi volume lalulintas maka persentase kehadiran lichen semakin rendah. Gas buang kendaraan bermotor yang intens dan periodik memungkinkan menurunnya prosentase kehadiran dan warna epiphytic lichen, hal ini berkaitan erat dengan penurunan kualitas udara di sekolah-sekolah pinggir jalan. Berdasarkan karakteristik tampakan epiphytic lichen di lokasi pemantauan menunjukkan lingkungan SDN 1 Poasia dan SDN 2 Baruga telah telah tercemar sedang sedang dan berpotensi tercemar berat sedangkan pada lingkungan SDN 18 Baruga masih pada taraf lingkungan bersih dan berpotensi tercemar ringan.

Abstract

Knowledge of farming communities in Desa Tridana Mulya before and after household air pollution (HAP) is described in this study. Using quantitative methods, generally farmers' knowledge about air pollution in a household is still low (low category 60%; medium 3%; high 5%). One alternative to increase the knowledge of these farmers is through counselling activities on air pollution in the household. After the knowledge extension activities, the farmers were categorized as high as 70%, medium 25% and low 5%). Shows Spearman's correlation test that P-value = 0.005 is smaller than the α value = 0.01, so H0: ρs = 0 is rejected, this meaning knowledge of the farming community before and after being given counselling a significant correlation. Counselling can significantly.  increase farmers' knowledge about air pollution household (HAP).

Abstract

This study analyzed the concentrations of TSP and CO at 2 different sites in Kota Kendari. Measurement of TSP levels at the site I, Jl. MT Haryono, the highest concentration occurred in the morning (79 g/Nm3) compared to midday (51 g/Nm3) and in the afternoon (46 g/Nm3). Judging from the quality standards based on PP No. 41 of the year 1999, the concentration of TSP and CO on Jl. MT Haryono has not exceeded the quality standard. However, according to PP No. 22 of the year 2021, the CO level has reached the quality standard threshold. At site II, the TSP level at Jl. The highest Achmad Yani occurred in the morning at 63 g/Nm3 compared to midday (28 g/Nm3) and in the afternoon (35 g/Nm3) while CO levels in the morning, afternoon, and evening remained stable at 12,000 g/Nm3. Based on PP No. 41 of the year 1999, the concentrations of TSP and CO in ambient air on Jl. Ahmad Yani has not exceeded the quality standard, but if it is reviewed based on PP no. 22 of the year 2021, CO levels have exceeded the quality standard threshold. Physical factors (temperature, wind speed, and humidity) and anthropogenic factors such as motorized vehicle traffic are maybe contributions.

Abstract

The maintenance of fishing vessels at Perikanan Samudera Kendari Harbor (PPS) is often carried out by fishing vessels maintenance ventures such as painting, cutting, annihilating, welding, spraying by using sand, changing oils, repairing machines, and other maintenance duties. This industry could potentially lead to degradation of environmental quality, one of which is heavy metal contamination. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to know the degree of heavy metal contamination at PPS Kendari, based on physics parameters (water brightness) and chemical parameters (Pb and Zn). Lead content (Pb) at the first station (1), the second station (2) and the third station (3) was undetected. Meanwhile, zinc content (Zn) at the first station (1) and the second station (2) was also undetected. At the third station (3), the zinc content was detected of 0.006 mg/L. This value is still under standard quality, namely of 0.1 mg/L. Zn contamination index was 0.053. This value is still within 0 ≤ Pij ≤ 1,0 range which meant the content of Zn at PPS Kendari still meets the standard quality (good condition).

Abstract

Particulate Matter (PM10) is a term for solid or liquid particles found in the air. The PM10 will scatter sunlight so that it interferes with the view. It is classified as particulate aerodynamics with a diameter of fewer than 10 m resulting from human activities, mostly from motor vehicles and industry. In this study aims to determine the concentration of PM10 in ambient air at Andounohu Market, Kendari. The concentration of PM10 at four points in the Andounohu market, Poasia Village, Andounohu District, Kendari City showed that the location of point 1 is 3.6573 g/Nm3, point 2 is 3.18696 g/Nm3, point 3 is 2,3581 g/Nm3, point 4 is 5.2936 g/Nm3. From the results of measurements made of PM10 concentrations at 4 points in the Andounohu market, Poasia Village, Andounohu District, Kendari City, it shows that PM10 in ambient air is still below the ambient air quality standard according to the State Government Regulation of the Environment No. 12 of 2010.
