Abstract

West Kalimantan is a tropical area whose territory consists of swampy areas, highlands, lowlands, and mountains which have the potential to be a place to live for medicinal plants. One of the new types of forest pandanus plant, Freycinetia sessiliflora Rizki, found on Mount Passi, Singkawang, has not been widely exposed to scientific knowledge. This study aims to isolate the flavonoid compounds contained in pandan ethanol extract by maceration extraction using 96% ethanol. Identification of flavonoid compounds was carried out by wiltrater, 10% NaOH, and H2SO4 (concentrated) tests. Isolation of flavonoids by Thin Layer Chromatography and Column Chromatography. The results of several tests showed that there were flavonoids contained in the ethanol extract pandanus Freycinetia sessiliflora Rizki.

Abstract

Dayak union contains compounds group of alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, tannins, glycosides, and triterpenoids which have antiacne effect. The aim of this research was to provide peel-off mask gel formula from ethanol extract of dayak union and tested its physical properties and their antibacteria activities to Staphylococcus aureus. Peel-off mask gel formulation from extract of dayak union made with various extract concentrasion which are 50 mg/ml, 75 mg/ml dan 100 mg/ml with Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA) base as gelling agent that has adhesive properties or could make flim layer thatt could peel off after its dried. Peel-off mask gel tested its physical properties, which are organoleptic, homogenity, pH, spread capacity, drying time and viscosity. The results of physical evaluation obtained that 1st formula has calm texture, brown-red colour and unique scent of dayak union, viscosity 60.666 cps, drying time for 725,67 seconds, spread capacity 4.49 cm, and pH 5. Results of antiacne activity shows that 1st formula is more effective that 2nd and 3rd formula, with inhibition zone diameter to Staphylococcus aureus is 0.87 cm. So it conclude that 1st formula is the best formula y ist physical and can give inhibition zone on the growth of Staphylococcus aureus.

Abstract

A new species of the pandanus (Freycinetia sessiliflora Rizki) is one species found in the year 2015 on Passi Mount, West Kalimantan. The researchers found the pandanus new species which is very different from other pandanus. The results of skrinning phytochemical leaves of the pandanus (Freycinetia sessiliflora Rizki) containing a compound of a secondary metabolite namely alkaloid , flavonoid , terpenoid-steroid , saponin , phenol and tannin. Based on secondary metabolite compounds which done research to test the activity of the pandanus extract bacteria Staphylococcus aureus. Plant extracts pandanus in get maceration with a solvent use of ethanol to achieve an extract will be used to test the activity of obstruent against bacteria Staphylococcus aureus by using the Then it will be the measurement of clear zone formed about paper discs .Analyze by anova data in one direction with the levels of trust 95 %. Based on the research done an obstruent extracts the results of a new species of pandanus against bacteria staphylococcus aureus with an average diameter obstruent concentration 5% of 10,86, mm the concentration of 10 % of 11,46, mm the concentration of 15 % of 11,8, mm the concentration of 20% of 12,24 mm and the highest 25% of 12,9 mm.

Abstract

Tumbuhan pandan hutan yang terdapat di gunung Passi Singkawang dengan spesies Freycinetia sessiliflora Rizki belum banyak diteliti terutama kandungan senyawa kimianya. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah fraksinasi dan identifikasi senyawa tanin ekstrak etanol pandan hutan Freycinetia sessiliflora Rizki. Metode fraksinasi yang digunakan adalah kromatografi lapis tipis yang dilanjutkan dengan kromatografi kolom. Skrining fitokimia menggunakan pereaksi FeCl3 serta analisis menggunakan spektrofotometri UV-Vis. Hasil pemisahan dengan metode kromatografi lapis tipis dan kromatografi kolom menggunakan eluen kloroform: methanol: air (7:3:0,4) dengan nilai Rf 0,25-0,77. Analisis panjang gelombang menggunakan spektrofotometri UV-Vis menunjukan senyawa tanin dengan panjang gelombang maksimum 734,1 nm.

Abstract

Pandan forests (Freycinetia sessiliflora Rizki) are among the species discovered in 2015 on mount passi West Borneo. Researchers found new pandan species very different from other pandan. The juxduring of pandan wood leaf fitycinetia's sesucleary of rizki's leaves contains skunder metabolic compounds of alkaloid, flavonoid, slamoid - steroids, saponin, fenol, and tannin. Based on the secondary metabolite compounds contained, a study was conducted to test the inhibition of the pandan extract with the fungus Trichophyton mentagrophytes. The extract of the pandan plant was obtained using a maseration method with a ethanol solot, which was obtained a thick extract that will be used to test the resistance against the fungus Trichophyton mentagrophytes it was agrophytes using the disk disk diffusion method (kirby&bauer test). Pandan extract is made in four different concentrations: 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20%. Then there was a clear zone measurement that formed around the disk paper. The data is analyzed by tabulation (chart) and described in a descriptive way.

Abstract

Covid-19 is an infectious disease caused by a new strain of corona virus with common symptoms of fever, fatigue, coughing, seizures and diarrhoea. Complications from covid-19 occur in respiratory disorders such as acute respiratory failure, pneumonia, acute distress syndrome (ards), and asa result of the adverse effects of death. A person with a high level of knowledge is no doubt aware of the importance of taking care of one's health by obeying health protocols. That's why we need to break the chain that causes the covid-19 virus in an obedient manner. The purpose of inin research is to learn the level of knowledge and students' response to the covid-19 health protocol in the city of singkawang. Data collection is done by filling an angket or questionnaire that contains questions about the level of student knowledge and obedience overview. The sample was used by as many as 100 students/students of the singkawang city man. From the data obtained that there are still many students who do not understand health initiatives that have not adopted the new habit. There are 82% of students who know about covid-19 but as many students have not complied with the application of the new custom of covid-19 as of 43,33%.
