Abstract

The issue of the lack tradition of reading among students needs attention and solution. Students need to be inspired, motivated, and facilitated so diligent and intense reading. For the progress of the study, reading is the basic skills are constantly required by the student. In the context of a student in college, an important reading skill by a student is critical reading skills. Critical reading skills involve aspects of critical thinking. Students trying to explore what were stated in the reading material and trying to explore the meaning. A critical reading activity not just memorize, but students with critical reading skills is possible does not accept what is presented, even college students understand the concept of what she or he had. Basically, when someone doing critical reading activity, he did it with thoughtful, attentive, insightful, analytical, evaluative, and instead want to find mistakes the author. Based on the facts and phenomena, critical reading skills so necessary for a college student. This study aims to describe the level of critical reading skills in college students majoring in Islamic Banking IV semester academic year 2012/2013. The research was conducted using a quantitative approach. This research uses the descriptive method. The population in this research is the whole Islamic Banking Majors semester IV amounted to 125. This research sample taken using proportional random sampling. Based on the model of random sample research, determined that Islamic Banking Majors semester IV class B and D of 59 people. The results showed that in general a student majoring in Islamic Banking Semester IV is quite skilled in the critical reading of a text. It is reflected in the statistical data indicating that the average value of the total of the skills of critical reading of a text on Islamic Banking majors semester IV is at number 77,35 and is skilled enough to qualify. Specifically, the percentage of the skill level of every aspect of critical reading on Islamic Banking Majors Semester IV can be outlined as follows, (1) aspects of skills to determine the facts in the text represents 22.5% of the total critical reading skills, (2) aspects of skills to determine the opinion in the text represents 22.2% of the total critical reading skills, (3) aspects of skills conclude text content representing 20.3% of the total critical reading skills, (4) aspects of skills analyze the use of the language within the text represent 15.7% of the total critical reading skills, (5) aspects of skills opined against text content represent 19,3% of the total critical reading skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang gangguan berbahasa yang dialami oleh pasien penyandang PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) di Rumah Sakit Jiwa Kendari. Peneliti mengamati subjek penelitian seorang lansia berusia 60 tahun-an. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan gangguan berbahasa yang dialami oleh pasien sehingga dapat mengerti aktivitas berbahasanya sehari-hari. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif yang memaparkan hasil penelitian dalam bentuk penjabaran dari data-data yang dianalisis. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik simak libat cakap dan catat, yaitu peneliti melakukan penyadapan dengan cara berpartisipasi sambil menyimak dalam pembicaraan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah pasien mengalami 3 gangguan berbahasa, yakni penggantian fonem, penghilangan fonem, dan penghilangan silabel atau pemendekan kata.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat keterampilan menerapkan tatabahasa, menerapkan tatatulis ilmiah, mengorganisasikan isi makalah, dan memanfaatkan referensi dalam menulis karya ilmiah pada guru-guru MI dalam program dual mode system Fakultas Ilmu Tarbiyah dan Keguruan, Universitas Islam Negeri Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru-guru MI dalam program dual mode system Fakultas Ilmu Tarbiyah dan Keguruan, Universitas Islam Negeri Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta cukup terampil dalam menyusun makalah dengan nilai rata-rata 65,25.

Abstract

Interferensi fonologis bahasa Jepang terhadap bahasa Indonesia yang terjadi pada pemelajar BIPA asal Jepang merupakan salah satu kendala yang dialami oleh pemelajar dalam mempelajari bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui interferensi yang terjadi pada pemelajar, faktor penyebab interferensi, dan solusi interferensi bahasa Jepang terhadap bahasa Indonesia yang terjadi pada pemelajar BIPA asal Jepang di PT Sakai Mulia Koken Indonesia. Penelitian dimulai dari 20 Oktober hingga 11 November 2020 di PT Sakai Mulia Koken Indonesia, Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah pemelajar atau penutur asing yang sedang belajar berbahasa Indonesia yang dengan jumlah informan yang diambil berjumlah 3 orang yang merupakan pemelajar BIPA level A1 (Pemula). Pada penelitian ini penulis menggunakan tiga metode dalam menganalisis, yaitu: metode padan artikulatoris, metode padan ortografis, dan metode komparatif. Dalam pengumpulan data penulis menggunakan teknik rekam, teknik simak bebas libat cakap, dan teknik catat (transkripsi).  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa interferensi terjadi dalam bentuk perubahan bunyi fonem, penambahan fonem, penghilangan fonem, dan pemenggalan fonem pada ketiga subjek yang diteliti. Ditemukan sebanyak 564 interferensi, frekuensi interferensi fonem vokal sebanyak 11 interferensi, dan interferensi fonem konsonan sebanyak 553 interferensi pada ketiga subjek. Interferensi fonologis pada penutur asing dapat diatasi salah satunya saat pembelajaran BIPA dapat menggunakan metode praktik langsung (drill method) dan metode audiolingual dan memperbanyak frekuensi interaksi menggunakan bahasa Indonesia dalam pembelajaran maupun diluar pembelajaran.

Abstract

Bahasa termasuk proses paling berperan di dalam perkembangan seorang anak. Perkembangan bahasa anak sangat dipengaruhi oleh kemampuan bahasa pertama maupun bahasa kedua dan proses tersebut sangat berperan penting dalam berkembangnya seorang anak di dalam kehidupan sosial. Proses berbahasa pada anak memiliki pemerolehan semantik, salah satunya yakni jenis makna. Mengenai hal tersebut, tujuan pada penelitian ini yakni menganalisis perkembangan semantik anak dalam menjawab soal di dalam buku pelajarannya menggunakan teori jenis-jenis makna menurut Chaer. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan subjek penelitian seorang anak berusia 8 tahun. Data penelitian ini yakni kalimat atau kata yang dilihat dari bagaimana cara anak menjawab soal-soal di buku pelajarannya. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik catat, yakni mencatat soal beserta jawaban anak dalam buku pelajarannya dan mengelompokkan jawaban anak pada jenis-jenis makna. Melalui teknik penelitian tersebut, hasil pembahasan pada penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa pada jawaban anak tersebut terdapat beberapa macam jenis makna, diantaranya: makna leksikal, makna gramatikal, makna referensial, makna non referensial, makna denotasi, dan makna konotasi.

Abstract

Advertisements tend to be packed with strong, persuasive, and emotional language. To be able to create a persuasive and emotional effect, proper linguistic features are needed. This study aims to reveal linguistic features in the form of verbs and adjectives as the main weapon in online loan advertising. In addition, this study also seeks to see the relationship between the use of adjectives in online loan advertisements with the public's view. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The data in this study are in the form of verbs and adjectives contained in online loan application advertisements. The data sources in this study are online loan advertisements registered with the OJK. The results show that the use of verbs in online loan advertisements tends to achieve interrogative and imperative functions. The use of “cepat”, “aman”, and “mudah” adjectives is intended as a strategy to increase the selling value and attractiveness of loan products. The use of “cepat”, “aman”, and “mudah” adjectives in online loan advertisements tends to describe changes in people's views or mindsets in general, especially in the economic field (loan services).

Abstract

This study aims to describe the forms and factors that cause speech rhythm disorders experienced by adolescents aged 20 years. This research uses descriptive qualitative method.Data collection was carried out using a test, simak and catat. The results showed that, on the reading test, Hl had a "fast" rhythm disorder with "unclear" articulation and a phonological disorder in the form of phoneme substitution.In the interview, Hl's speaking rhythm was still classified as "fast" and his articulation was also "less clear" so that a syntactic disorder emerged in the form of difficulty in arranging word order correctly.The factors that cause Hl to experience speech rhythm disturbances are the lack of frequency of speaking and communicating.Internal or psychological factors that make it difficult for Hl to speak are insecurity or nervousness that makes him rush in finishing his speech.

Abstract

Disagreement is a difference of opinion expressed differently based on the media used. Based on this phenomenon, it is interesting to define an expression of disagreement and the types of discourse that trigger it on Facebook, which tends to be accessible and not distant. Analyzing these two things is interesting and important as something new in pragmatic studies. This study aims to define the expression of disagreement and describe the types of messages that get a lot of disagreement responses in the ICJ Facebook group. The current research utilized a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The data in this study are messages and comments that contain disagreement in the ICJ Facebook group. Data collection was carried out using documentation, observation, and note-taking techniques. The data analysis technique utilizes semantic and pragmatic perspectives. The results showed that the expression of disagreement could be defined as a negative expression expressed verbally as a reaction when the speaker opposes or denies the opponent's proposition or vice versa in a communication context. Posts or messages that get a lot of disagreement responses have the following characteristics, 1) the topics discussed relate to the disclosure of social problems from a personal point of view, 2) aim to assess social phenomena or as social criticism, 3) type of expressive and persuasive discourse.

Abstract

Abstrak: Bahasa adalah alat komunikasi yang harus dimiliki setiap manusia. Bahasa menjadi modal utama dalam proses tumbuh kembang anak. Perkembangan bahasa anak dipengaruhi oleh faktor ekstren dan intern. Perkembangan yang terhambat ternyata dapat mempengaruhi kemampuan berbahasa pada anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pola urutan kata pada anak penderita tongue-tie dan mendeskripsikan faktor yang memengaruhi perkembangan bahasa pada anak penderita tongue-tie. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode kualitatif deskriptif.  Data dalam penelitian ini dikumpulkan dengan teknik simak dan catat, yaitu menyimak ujaran anak penderita tongue-tie lalu mencatat hasil tuturannya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa anak pengidap tongue-tie mengalami gagap dalam berbicara. Selain itu, wujud gangguan berbahasa yang paling signifikan pada penderita tongue-tie adalah kekacauan pola urutan kata dalam kalimat.Kata kunci: gangguan berbahasa, tongue-tie, psikolinguistik  Abstract: Language is a communication tool that every human being should have. Language is the main capital in the process of child development. Children's language development is influenced by external and internal factors. Delayed development can affect language skills in children. This study aims to describe the pattern of word order in children with tongue-tie and describe the factors that influence language development in children with tongue-tie. This research was conducted with descriptive qualitative method. The data in this study were collected by listening and note-taking techniques, namely listening to the speech of children with tongue-tie and then recording the results of their speech. The results showed that children with tongue-tie experienced stuttering in speaking. In addition, the most significant form of language disorder in tongue-tie sufferers is the disorder of word order patterns in sentences.Key words: language disorders, tongue-tie, psycholinguistic

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the forms of verbal body shaming found in the film "Imperfect" by Ernest Prakasa. The method used is qualitative. Data were collected through the method of listening, recording, and documentation by using a data card instrument, and tested for validity through triangulation of sources. This research shows that; 1) body shaming in the work environment requires women to look beautiful and attractive as a condition for obtaining a position as manager, 2) body shaming has eroded women's confidence because in culture, women will be considered to exist if they are beautiful, 3) body shaming in religion requires women to look beautiful based on the demands of society and the media, 4) body shaming weakens women's sexuality in making love, 5) body shaming of fat forces women to go on strict diets that are harmful to health, and 6) body shaming has made women make changes to their bodies by that hurts.
