Abstract

This research aims to reveal at the management of human resources and the management of digital systems in the libraries of state Islamic universities, specifically in the North Sumatra region, namely UIN North Sumatra Medan, IAIN Padangsidimpuan and STAIN Mandailing Natal. This study used a qualitative approach with data sources are the head of the library, librarians and users, both lecturers and students. This research data collection technique used observation sheets, interviews and focus group discussions so that the resulting data is more comprehensive. The data that has been collected is analyzed with interpretation. The results of the study indicate that there is an imbalance between users and human resources, this is the cause of the service in the library is not good. Increasing the quality of human resources in the PTKIN library in the North Sumatra region is very urgent to be carried out to optimize performance and become a driver of other resources more optimally. This optimization is also to support the competitiveness of libraries in this massive digitalization era, so scientific knowledge development is progressively advanced in Islamic universities in North Sumatra. Abstract

The critical objective of this present study is to conduct substantial evaluation of TOEFL as a language assessment tool. Using a qualitative method, the authors of the present study evaluated various specific issues based on a set of predetermined criteria such as practicality, test reliability, validity, authenticity, and washback impact. The analysis indicates that TEOFL ITP is both feasible and dependable. The TOEFL's dependability is based on these three components. However, unless the ITP test is altered from the previously used TOEFL, the TOEFL ITP is as reliable as the TOEFL PBT. In theory, its trustworthiness is uncertain, and more investigation is needed. It is debatable whether the TOEFL ITP test items can accurately represent this task when utilized for the placement test. TOEFL ITP is a reliable English test. Knowing the TOEFL significance encourages test takers to enhance their English skills as part of the exam. More students want to take lessons to enhance their grades.

Abstract

In the process of learning English, there are many techniques and media that can be used. The methods and media in learning are made in a variety of ways so that learning English is not monotonous, and student motivation in learning English can be increased. In this study, the researcher discussed about the effectiveness of the whispering game in EFL learners. In the learning process of English, the 'Whispering Game' can increase student motivation, make the learning process more attractive to students so that it can improve the ability of students to learn English exactly. In conclusion, the researcher will apply the steps, advantages and disadvantages of this game. Abstrak Dalam proses pembelajaran bahasa Inggris, ada terdapat beberapa teknik dan media yang dapat digunakan. Metode-metode dan media dalam pembelajaran dibuat dengan berbagai cara agar pembelajaran bahasa Inggris tidak monoton, dan motivasi murid dalam belajar bahasa Inggris dapat ditingkatkan. Dalam pembahasan ini, peneliti akan mendiskusikan tentang keefektifan dari permainan whispering (berbisik) pada pembelajar bahasa Inggris. Dalam proses pembelajaran bahasa Inggris, “permainan berbisik” dapat meningkatkan motivasi murid, membuat proses pembelajaran semakin atraktif sehingga meningkatkan kemampuan murid dalam belajar bahasa Inggris secara tepat. Pada kesimpulan, peneliti akan menjelaskan langkah-langkah, kelebihan dan kekurangan dari permainan ini.
