Abstract

This research aims to describe students learning activities through the implementation of students worksheets based on POE. This study was descriptive qualitative research. The research was conducted in one of the Islamic Senior High School in Bantul, Yogyakarta on Circular Motion material. The research subject was determined through random sampling. The number of subjects in this research consisted of 26 students in the first year. Data were collected using an observation sheet in 3 meetings observed by two persons and the interview. The results of the analysis obtained are expressed in terms of percentages and then interpreted in the form of scientific narratives. Data analysis results show that the students’ worksheet based on POE can be used to enhance students’ learning activities, especially in visual activities, oral activities, writing activities, motor activities, and mental activities with the most dominant activities is writing activities, and the weakest one is oral activities. Students feel that using students’ worksheets based on predict-observe-explain makes them involved directly in the demonstration or the practicum, can create their curiosity, make they even more seriously in the study, increase the interest in studying physics and help each other with their friends. But, the students’ confidence and speaking ability must be the concern, so students are not reluctant to share their idea in front of the class.

Abstract

Pendulum terbalik merupakan suatu sistem non-linear, multivariabel, tidak stabil dan merupakan tolak ukur yang sangat baik untuk menguji algoritma kontrol yang berbeda. Dalam beberapa tahun terakhir, minat para peneliti di bidang sistem kontrol pada pendulum terbalik meningkat. Persamaan gerak pada sistem pendulum merupakan persamaan diferensial yang dapat dianalisis menggunakan Transformasi Laplace. Aljabar tersebut menjadi rumit pada suatu kejadian dan dapat lebih mudah jika diselesaikan menggunakan transformasi Laplace daripada jika diselesaikan dengan analisis persamaan diferensial secara langsung. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menyelesaikan persamaan diferensial dari hasil Lagrangian pada sistem dinamik pendulum terbalik menggunakan transformasi Laplace. Metode yang digunakan untuk menyelesaikan persamaan diferensial adalah menggunakan Mekanika Lagrange dan Tranformasi Laplace. Analisis dengan Lagrangian digunakan untuk menentukan persamaan diferensial orde 2 pada sistem. Kemudian persamaan diferensial tersebut diselesaikan dengan menggunakan transformasi Laplace dan invers transformasi Laplace sehingga diperoleh persamaan akhir dalam domain waktu (t).

Abstract

THE DEVELOPMENT OF PHYSICS LEARNING RESEARCH WITH STEM APPROACH IN INDONESIA: A CONTENT ANALYSISAbstractThis study aims to provide an overview of physics learning research with the STEM approach in Indonesia. This study used a thematic content analysis method which aims to determine the depth of the study using a certain matrix so that a conclusion can be presented based on similarities and differences. This study analyzed SINTA indexed scientific articles published from 2016-2020. The results of the search were obtained as many as 51 scientific articles according to the scope of the research. Research that is mostly done is experiments. The most widely used number of samples was 11-30 and the type of sample that was most studied was students in class XI in Senior High School. The most widely used data collection instrument is the test instrument. The most popular physics material is temperature and heat material, while the most measured research variable is students' understanding of concepts. The product that is mostly developed in learning with the STEM approach is students’ worksheets, while the learning model that is most often integrated with the STEM approach is Project-Based Learning (PjBL). In the future, research should examine the effects of learning physics using the STEM approach on variables that are still rarely studied, such as students' representational abilities. In addition, it is necessary to apply a STEM learning approach to other materials that are still rarely used. Thus, it can be concluded that this study has provided preliminary information for further research and policy determination on the STEM approach in physics learning.AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan tinjauan umum terkait penelitian pembelajaran fisika dengan pendekatan STEM di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode thematic content analysis yang bertujuan untuk menentukan kedalaman penelitian dengan menggunakan matriks tertentu sehingga dapat disajikan suatu kesimpulan berdasarkan kesamaan dan perbedaan. Penelitian ini menganalisis artikel ilmiah terindeks SINTA yang dipublikasikan dari 2016-2020. Hasil dari pencarian diperoleh sebanyak 51 artikel ilmiah yang sesuai dengan lingkup penelitian. Penelitian yang banyak dilakukan adalah penelitian eksperimen. Jumlah sampel yang paling banyak digunakan adalah sebanyak 11-30 dan jenis sampel yang paling banyak diteliti adalah peserta didik di kelas XI SMA/MA. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang paling banyak digunakan adalah instrumen tes. Materi fisika yang paling diminati adalah materi Suhu dan Kalor, sedangkan variabel penelitian yang paling banyak diukur adalah pemahaman konsep peserta didik. Produk yang paling banyak dikembangkan dalam pembelajaran dengan pendekatan STEM adalah LKPD, sementara model pembelajaran yang paling sering diintegrasikan dengan pendekatan STEM adalah Project Based Learning (PjBL). Ke depannya penelitian sebaiknya mengkaji efek pembelajaran fisika dengan menggunakan pendekatan STEM terhadap variabel yang masih jarang diteliti, seperti kemampuan representasi peserta didik. Selain itu, perlu diterapkan pendekatan pembelajaran STEM pada materi lain yang masih jarang digunakan. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penelitian ini telah memberikan informasi awal untuk penelitian dan penentuan kebijakan lebih lanjut tentang pendekatan STEM dalam pembelajaran fisika.

Abstract

Abstract: The Effect of Problem Based Learning Integrated E-Books to Improve Learning Motivation in Physics for High School Students. Objectives: This study aimed to determine the effect of problem based learning integrated e-book to increase physics learning motivation of high school students. Methods: A quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group design. The research sample was taken using a random sampling technique. The sample consisted of 68 students in grade XI of State Senior High School in Randudongkal, Indonesia. They were divided into two classes, namely 34 students in the experimental class and 34 students in the control class. The students learning motivation was measured through a questionnaire instrument based on the ARCS aspect through the google form. Findings: The results of the paired t-test analysis of motivation to learn physics in the experimental class showed a significant value with the sig 0.000. Conclusion: This showed that the use of e-books was effective in increasing students motivation to learn physics.Keywords: physics e-book, problem based learning, physics learning motivation.Abstrak: Pengaruh E-Book Terintegrasi Problem Based Learning untuk Meningkatkan Motivasi Belajar Fisika Peserta Didik SMA. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh e-book terintegrasi problem based learning untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar fisika peserta didik SMA. Metode: Metode penelitian yang digunakan merupakan kuasi-eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest control group. Pengambilan sampel penelitian menggunakan teknik random sampling. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 68 peserta didik kelas XI SMAN 1 Randudongkal, Pemalang. Terbagi menjadi dua kelas yakni, 34 peserta didik kelas eksperimen dan 34 peserta didik kelas kontrol. Motivasi belajar fisika peserta didik diukur melalui angket berdasarkan aspek ARCS pada google form. Temuan: Hasil analisis uji-t berpasangan menunjukkan nilai signifikan pada motivasi belajar fisika di kelas eksperimen, yakni 0,000. Kesimpulan: Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan e-book efektif dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar fisika siswa.Kata kunci: e-book fisika, problem based learning, motivasi belajar fisika. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v12.i2.202213
