Abstract

This paper is the resume of a research which aimed to know the professionalism of BMT people in Yogyakarta city and Sleman regency. The type of the research is the qualitative which collected the data with questioner, depth interview and library research. As the qualitative research, the analysis data acted simultaneous with collecting the data, interpretation, and writing the research result. As the results that the interpretation of professionalism by many BMT people tends practically. The professionalism explained in the context of service quality given by BMT to its customers. Mean, the biggest professionalism measure is in service quality.

Abstract

It is clearly proved that the Compilation of Islamic law which was issued by the Presidential Decree no.1/1991 is not far from  weaknesses. The weaknesses appear in some chapters and articles, such as in the articles on marriage. Indeed, the content also shows contradiction with other regulations. Therefore, the effort to issue the regulation on the Implementation of Islamic Law (Undang-Undang Terapan) must be strongly supported due to the need for creating better implementation of Islamic legal system in Indonesia.

Abstract

The corruption cases in Indonesia constitute complex problem because they relate to economical affairs, socio-cultural, that of politic. Actually many ways have been conducted  by govemment to solve the corruption but those do not run effectively. In this sense, the problem is how to solve the corruption problems in term of religion doctrine. To solve the corruption problems, of course, it needs reforming understanding of religion., Searching new paradigm of religion based on the ethic of religion ( not only normative/Theological approach), and transform  it in real human life, in particular regarding corruption cases. The religious leaders can play an important role to support govemment to solve corruption problems based on control teaching of religion.

Abstract

At least there are two perspectives regarding the religion affairs, firstly, religion is as doctrine, secondly, religion is as the product of human understanding of religion doc trine. In this connection, religion as doctrine has principies, for examples justice, equality, plurality, freedom, democracy, and humanity. These principles are stabil, immutable, not change. But, those principles should be applied to human life wisely. Thus, the violences (terrorism,Jihad, atc) that related to and in the name of religion should be understood comprehensively carefully because they include and be a part of religion as ideology.

Abstract

Globalization has changed the fabric of human life and lead to accelerated economic development islam as a religion rahmatan ill alamin is required to always be ready to provide solutions to various issues, because not every economic problem in the modern era has been arranged in al-Quran and al-Hadith, then opened the door of ijtihad. Method of economic ijtihad has very important position, because products of globalization are very fast and diverse. The classical scholars have provided a good example of how diligence in the economic field that should be followed by the scientists of this modern era. In the current era, the most appropriate economic ijtihad is the collective ijtihad as has been done by the DSN-MUI, Bahsul Masail NU, and Majelis Tarjih Muhammadiyah. However, should also noted how economic ijtihad products that now exist can be mutually reinforcing and contribute to the repertoire of minimal economic sciences of Islam, not the other way would lead to disunity.Keywords: Economic Ijtihad, Islamic economics, globalization, maslahah.

Abstract

If we look back to the era of the Prophet Muhammad PBUH and the Era of Companions, we can find other prespective to see political system which we can compare to the democratic system. In the Islamic context (imamah) there's no specific model to follow, but Islam give more chance and open more space to moslems how to choose their leader. But, the most important point is that Muslim must consider the concept of shura, whereas shura/musyawarah is been recognized as a core value of democracy.

Abstract

This research aims to determine students' preferences when pursuing a doctorate in Islamic law studies at the Indonesian Islamic University (UII). The participants in this research were Islamic law students enrolled in the doctoral program (HI-PD) at the Indonesian Islamic University in Yogyakarta between 2019 and 2022. Interviews were used to gather information in this qualitative study, and 39 students from HI-PD UII participated as research informants. According to the research findings, students' preferences in selecting the HI-PD study program can be categorized according to a number of different factors, including costs, facilities, human resources, reference groups, and recommendations.
