Abstract

Penelitian pengolahan a.r limbah industri mono sodium glutamat telah dilakukan denqan menggunakan reaktor UASB dan fixed bed dalam selang waktu ± 80 hari, sedangkan sebagai sumber mikroba digunakan granule untuk UASB dan septic tank untuk fixed bed, Untmenghilangkan zat pengganggu yang dapat menghambat proses peruraian zat organik menjadi bentuk yang lebih sederhana dilakukan pengolahan secara fisika -kimia dan aerasi, dengan perlakuan penambahan kapur tohor 25000 ppm dan aerasi selama 24 jam dapat menurunkan konsentrasi amoniak dari 7258 ppm menjadi 112 ppm dan sulfat dari 26310 menjadi 11500 ppDari hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa penggunaan reaktor UASB dapat menurunkan konsentraCOD antara 40 - 60% sedangkan secara fixed bed dapat menurukan konsentrasi antara 10 - 60%

Abstract

Tempe, a traditional famous food with a high protein, is usually produced in a small industry. Until now, most of the industries do not treat their wastewater. This research work demonstrates the ability of anaerobic processes type fixed bed process. In fixed bed reactor, grinded anaerobic microorganisms growth on the surface of the media. The result of this research show that, using anaerobic fixed bed process the COD removal rate and gas generated are over 90 % and 70 I/day )for COD inlet about I 0, 000 mg/I).

Abstract

Enzym are complex, colloidal organic catalysts produced by living cells, but unabl eto produce themselves. They occur in animal and plant life, and around 20,000 to 30,000 enzyme are beli ved to exist in the human body. In cosmetic application enzyme is also needed, for instance enzyme for skin care which can be produce from vegetables and fruits such as trypsine, lipase, diastase, bromelin, papain, and enzyme for skin treatment which can be used urease, pepsin, catalase, trypsine. Besides, urease and catalase are useful also for dentifrices and hair care.

Abstract

Phenols are effectively removed by treatment with peroxidase and a cationic polymer coagulant. The coagulant precipitated enzymatic products of phenol, and reduced the in activation of peroxidase caused by reaction of products from phenol with the enzyme.

Abstract

Aerobic treatment is used for treatment of waste water which is of a relatively low concentration and is in large quantity as well. In this treatment, domestic waste water seeks to purify, by making maximum used of bacteria's ability to take in organic matters. The COD removal from this research are describe that concentration of COD already reached ± 90 %.

Abstract

An enzymatic method for removal of phenols from industrial wastewater was investigated. Peroxidase from horseradish was demonstrated to remove phenol and aromatic amines from aqueous solutions and to decolorize from phenolic industrial ejjluents. Phenol and phenol derivatives contained in wastewater can be removed by using peroxidase and coagulant.
