Abstract

Kokosanolide A (1), from the seeds of Lansium domesticum Corr. cv Kokossan, has been shown strong cytotoxic activities (IC50 = 8.62 μg/mL) against MCF-7 breast cancer cells. The aim of this work was to study the molecular interactions of kokosanolide A and kokosanolide C with the Estrogen Receptor α (ERα) using computer-aided drug design approaches. Molecular docking using Autodock Vina (open-source software PyRx 0.8) was employed to explore the modes of binding of kokosanolide A (1) and kokosanolide C (2) with ERα. Compounds 1 and 2 showed strong bond-free energy (-8.8 kcal/mol and -8.7 kcal/mol) to ERα. These two compounds have a molecular mechanism to inhibit ERα in breast cancer cells.

Abstract

This paper discusses the Two-Stage Guillotine Cutting Stock Problem (2GCSP) in the garment industry, namely how to determine the two-stage guillotine pattern that is used to cut fabric stocks into several certain size t-shirt materials that are produced based on the demand for each size of the shirt. 2GCSP is modeled in the form of Linear Integer Optimization and finding solutions using the Branch and Bound method. In this paper also presented a Graphical User Interface with Maple software as an interactive tool to find the best fabric stock cutting patterns. The results show that the optimal solution can be determined by solving numerically using the Branch and Bound method and Maple optimization packages. The solution is shown with an illustration of the pattern and the amount of fabric cut based on the pattern.

Abstract

Project management is a strategy that needs to be done in project planning and scheduling. With the preparation of a good project management, it can be estimated the time and cost needed to run the project, so as to minimize cost losses due to possible project lags. Project scheduling is one element of planning results, which can provide information about project schedules, plans and progress. Project time management can be arranged using the Critical Path Method (CPM) and Program Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT). One alternative to accelerate project completion (Crashing) is by adding project costs using the Crasing Program Method. To overcome the uncertainty of scheduling time and project costs in calculations Fuzzy Logic is used. From the results of using Fuzzy Logic, we estimate the time and cost needed to carry out the project, so as to minimize cost losses due to possible time delays in the project. The results of using Fuzzy Logic on CPM and PERT project schedule on a house renovation project in Ujungberung Indah Bandung housing complex, requires a longer completion time, but the probability of completion of the project is higher, the use of the Crasing Program Method results in faster project completion times and lower incremental costs.

Abstract

Phytoplankton as one of the most important organisms in the territorial waters, which is the beginning of the food chain in a territorial waters. Phytoplankton have certain tolerance limits to physical-chemical factors so that they will form different community structures. The relationship between chemical physics parameters with phytoplankton communities in a territorial waters, can be used as an indicator of water quality. West Bangka Regency has considerable marine and fisheries resource potential, especially for marine aquaculture. So research on the structure of the phytoplankton community in relation to the physical-chemical parameters of seawater needs to be carried out to see indicators of fertility and availability of natural food in the waters that will be used as a marine aquaculture location. To find out the relationship between physico-chemical parameters and phytoplankton abundance, Principal Component Analysis (PCA) was used. Some physico-chemical parameters observed were temperature, brightness, pH, salinity, coated oxygen (DO), phosphate, nitrate, and ammonia. The results show the eigenvalues value of the main component 1 (PC1) represents about 41.78% of the diversity of data with its main identifying variable, namely temperature with a loading factor value of -0.885, brightness with a loading factor value of -0.8872 and salinity with a loading factor value of 0.824. For the main component 2 (PC2) represents about 28.16% of the diversity of data with its founder variable, pH with a loading factor value of -0.841. As for the main component 3 (PC3), it represents 18.67% of the diversity of data with its originating variable, Nitrate, with a loading factor value of -0,700. So that it can be formed into 3 clusters namely the first cluster is temperature and salinity, the second cluster is pH and nitrate and the third cluster is DO, phosphate, and ammonia.

Abstract

Rice is one of the most important commodities in Indonesia since it is one of the staple foods. Therefore, it becomes one of Indonesian government concerns by setting a goal of 46,8 million tons of rice supply in 2024. Despite 29,67% of the population earns their living from agriculture, forestry, and fisheries, the domestic production of rice could not meet its demand many times. Hence, the forecasting of the production and domestic consumption of rice is needed to know whether the domestic production is able to meet the demand. In this study, the rice production and domestic consumption were forecasted using the Double Exponential Smoothing (DES) method. The DES was chosen due to the pattern of the data shows the trends without seasonality. The accuracy of the forecasting was measured by Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) and Durbin-Watson statistic test. The yielded forecasts showed that the production rate is lower than the domestic consumption’s so that it would not meet the demand. It was concluded that the DES suitable to be used to forecast production and domestic consumption of rice in Indonesia since its MAPE are 6,48% and 5,91%, respectively. Moreover, the Durbin-Watson statistic showed that there was no autocorrelations on the errors of both data.

Abstract

A service is considered good if it can provide fast service so that customers are not left waiting for too long. If a service has a long queue, then causing customers to wait for a long time, their satisfaction and trust levels may decrease. Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah (RSUD) Sumedang offers various outpatient services, including a pediatric clinic. Almost every day, a significant number of patients come to the pediatric clinic, resulting in considerable waiting time for patients. The service discipline used is First Come First Serve, and the service system falls under the multi-phase category, where each patient has to go through several stages to receive optimal service. This research will focus on the service system in the pediatric clinic at each stage, starting from registration, examination by the doctor, to medication collection at the pharmacy. The research findings indicate that the workload at the pharmacy counter is very high, while it is significantly low at the registration counter, resulting in suboptimal performance of the service system at these two stages. The performance of the service system can be improved by reducing service facilities at the registration counter and adding resources at the pharmacy counter.Â
