Abstract

Energy conservation is an effort to increase energy efficiency. This research conducted an energy audit in the BPTIK (Badan Pengembangan Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi) department room at the Universitas PGRI Semarang, observing the value of electrical parameters, especially unbalanced voltage and current that have the potential to cause neutral currents. In this study the calculated unbalanced voltage value is 0.64% and unbalanced current is 20.25%. From the current development, the neutral current produces an average of 1.72 Amperes. From the value of the neutral current can be calculated the energy lost in the conductor neutral wire per day is about 0.01% of energy consumption by the load per day

Abstract

The use of energy is basically very much needed in everyday life. Energy that is widely used is electrical energy, because electricity is one of the important factors in human life. Some electrical energy producers, in the country use fossil fuel sources such as coal and petroleum, and fossil energy is not renewable. Therefore, the government through the Regulation of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources number 14 of 2012 regulates energy management to control energy consumption in order to achieve effective and efficient energy utilization. PGRI Semarang University [L1] as an academic institution uses a lot of non-linear loads for administrative, teaching, laboratory and other supporting activities. Based on the analysis of data obtained at the Center Building of PGRI Semarang University experiencing an imbalance, the condition is not in accordance with the standards and risks increasing power losses. Seeing these conditions, recommendations were obtained that can be implemented at the Center Building of PGRI Semarang University, namely, balancing the load of phases R, S, T to reduce current imbalances. From the load imbalance, there were power losses on the neutral wire of 889,363 kW and power usage for one day in the R, S, T phases of 15,497,991 kW

Abstract

Masalah dengan melambungnya harga minyak bumi dan semakin menipisnyacadangan minyak bumi kita diharuskan untuk menghemat pemakaian energi yang dihasilkan oleh pemakaian minyak bumi. Apalagi negara kita merupakan Negara pengimpor minyak. Sehingga semakin bamyak pemakaian minyak bumi didalam negri maka semakin besar pula jumlah minyak yang harus diimpor dan secara otomatis akan menguras keuangan Negara. Antara lain pemakaian minyak bumi didalam negri digunakan untuk : pembangkit listrik, industri, kendaraan, memasak, dan masih banyak lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan efisiensi pemakaian energi listrik antara PLN (Grid) dan genset dengan melihat Net Present Cost, Total Annual Cost, Cost of Energy, dan Break Event Point dengan dibantu software HOMER PRO 3.14.2. Dimana diperoleh Netto sekarang biaya penggunaan energi listrik sumber PLN sebesar Rp. 355.105.400.000, Total biaya tahunan sebesar Rp.27.468.960.000, total energi yang dipakai sebesar 23.493.590 kWh, serta biaya energi Rp. 1.169 /kWh. Dan untuk penggunaan sumber energi listrik genset diperoleh Net present cost sebesar Rp. 1.380.000.000.000, Total biaya tahunan sebesar Rp. 105.343.700.000, total energi yang dipakai sebesar 23.493.590 kWh, serta biaya energi Rp. 4.529/kWh. Yang berarti untuk penggunaan sumber energi genset di Paragon Mall Semarang, saat ini belum memungkinkan untuk mengalihkan secara menyeluruh sumber dari PLN dan hanya digunakan untuk cadangan saja jika PLN terjadi gangguan. 105.343.700.000, total energi yang dipakai sebesar 23.493.590 kWh, serta biaya energi Rp. 4.529/kWh. Yang berarti untuk penggunaan sumber energi genset di Paragon Mall Semarang, saat ini belum memungkinkan untuk mengalihkan secara menyeluruh sumber dari PLN dan hanya digunakan untuk cadangan saja jika PLN terjadi gangguan. 105.343.700.000, total energi yang dipakai sebesar 23.493.590 kWh, serta biaya energi Rp. 4.529/kWh. Abstract

Apart from being a place of worship, the mosque has a function to improve community relations in the environment around the mosque in particular. In order to improve community relations, it is necessary to hold several activities involving the community under the auspices of the mosque. In order for community activities to take place, the mosque is equipped with several assets such as electronic devices, sound systems, air conditioning, infaq contacts/charity boxes and some other supporting furniture. So mosque assets need to be maintained in the security aspect. To support the security aspects of the mosque's environment, in this service there will be mentoring and training on the CCTV (Close Circuit Television) system. This service activity is carried out by technicians, mosque congregation and accompanied by a service team, including; needs assessment, field survey, network design and layout, preparation of budget plans and device requirements, device installation and device firmware settings. After being agreed by the team, this service installed 5 camera points to monitor 4 areas, parking area, yard, congregation area and priest area. From the results of this activity, that the installation of cameras at 5 points in accordance with the planned survey results and needs assessment can provide comprehensive monitoring of environmental conditions outside and inside the mosque, so that it can better guarantee security in the mosque and its surroundings.

Abstract

Utilization of sunlight using solar panels as power plants began to be developed to reduce the use of fossil fuels. The purpose of this study is to design an MPPT model with PV sources. The PID controller is used to improve MPPT performance in regulating the boost converter, while the PID value is set with fuzzy logic. Research methods include simulation design, hardware, load capacity calculation, and fuzzy logic design. The trial was conducted using an electric load in the house. The results of previous studies, using PID control generated 88.77% efficiency. The results of the study using PID control that is regulated by fuzzy logic produces 95.79% efficiency. This method is also able to improve the output of the boost converter voltage, so that with this method the boost converter output voltage is better when compared to other methods.

Abstract

The need for electricity for human life is increasing day by day, both for daily living needs and industrial needs. In reality, electricity doesn't always work as expected, sometimes it goes out and disrupts activities, although not often, that's why it's necessary to have backup electricity, especially for those used by many people. The aim of this program is to provide understanding to all administrators and students of related orphanages about the safety of electrical installations and knowledge about generators as backup electrical power sources as well as assistance in installing and improving electrical installations for generators. Socialization activities and assistance in improving the electrical installations of orphanages have run smoothly and met work targets, as evidenced by the increase in knowledge and understanding of related orphanage administrators and students regarding how to work, installing generators and the safety of electrical installations, especially regarding the type and size of cables that must be used. In this activity, the management and students accompanied by the service team succeeded in installing and testing the electrical installation for the generator. The results of testing the generator with a household load measured a voltage of 220 Volts, a current of 0.37 Ampere and a frequency of 50 Hz during daytime testing (minimal electrical load usage). Selection and use of NYY 2.5 mm2 cable which has a KHA (Current Carrying Strength) of 27 Amperes to support the maximum load of the orphanage which is measured at 7.18 Amperes.
