Abstract

The research of grafting methyl methacrylate onto Cyclized Natural Rubber  has been carried out. Dicumyl Peroxide was used as a inisiator and temperature condition at 90oC with variation of time 1 and 2 hours. Grafting process was done with technique of reflux in a tree-neck flask  with condenser and oil bath. Spectra analysis FTIR performed for determine the presence of grafted MMA on the backbone of CNR. The results showed that the product CNR-g-MMA was formed with the marked appearance of the absorption peak wave numbers at 1731 cm-1 (carbonyl group absorption) typical for carbonyl (C = O) of methyl methacrylate. The degree of grafting increased with the increasing time grafting.Keywords: grafting, cyclic natural rubber, mathylmetacrilate, dicumyl peroxide

Abstract

Agricultural development on peatlands faces many obstacles related to the nature of peat soils, in general the chemical properties of peat soils are dominated by organic acids which are the result of accumulation of plant residues. The organic acids produced during the decomposition process are substances that are toxic to plants, thus disrupting plant metabolic processes which will have a direct impact on their productivity. The high acidity of the soil in the peat area will make it difficult for Mucuna bractaeta to grow in the peat area. The results of the observation of the effect of Zn fertilizer have no significant effect on the parameters of tendril length, number of leaves, wet weight, and dry weight, although the index shows no treatment (Z0) visually better on the parameters of the length of the tendrils, and the number of leaves. Abstract

Keragaman Pertumbuhan Tanaman Karet Akibat Induksi Cabang Dengan Metoda Clipping Dan Topping, Penunasan Dengan Cara Induksi Percabangan Merupakan Salah Satu Upaya Dalam Pemeliharaan Tanaman Karet Yang Bertujuan Untuk Mendapatkan Pertumbuhan Tanaman Yang Lebih Baik, Seperti Pertumbuhan Diameter Batang, Tinggi Tanaman, Maupun Jumlah Payung Yang Tumbuh. Dengan Cara Clipping Dan Topping Biasanya Dapat Menghasilkan Pertumbuhan Tanaman Karet Yang Lebih Optimal. Masalahnya Seberapa Baik Efektivitas Tingkat Keberhasilan Yang Didapat Dari Cara Clipping Dan Topping. Untuk Itu Pada Penelitian Ini Akan Dikaji Efektivitas Pertumbuhan Tanaman Karet Secara Induksi Cabang Dengan Metode Clipping Dan Topping. Penelitian Ini Dilaksanakan Di Kebun Karet Rakyat Yang Letak Di Desa Damak Maliho Kecamatan Bangun Purba, Kab Deli Serdang Propinsi Sumatera Utara.nPenelitian Ini Berlangsung Selama Dua Bulan Di Mulai Pada Bulan Juni S/D Juli 2021 Hasil Penelitian Ini Menyimpulkan Perlakuan Metode Clipping Lebih Berpengaruh Secara Efektif Terhadap Pertambahan Lingkar Batang, Tinggi Tanaman Dan Jumlah Payung Tanaman Karet Dibandingkan Dengan Metode Topping. Abstract

The impact of processing the tofu industry is liquid waste which mainly causes problems. Tofu liquid waste can be used as biogas. For this reason, it is necessary to study a feasibility analysis for constructing a biodigester from a technical, economic, and environmental perspective. The engineering work process in technical analysis determines the type of digester and the appropriate and efficient placement obtained from operational costs, land area, and production capacity. The technical analysis survey found that the type of reactor installation was chosen was the modified Cover Lagoon Anaerobic Reactor (Colar) with a portable model with a capacity of 200 liters. The economic analysis study is used to determine the feasibility of developing a Biodigester in determining the budget details and obtaining the estimated cost of Rp. 2,301,000, - and investment in the next five years with parameters Net Present Value (NPV) = Rp. 7.512.000,- (positive value), Probability Index (PI) = 3.2 1 in the investment period, Internal Rate Of Return (IRR) at the generally accepted interest rate, the NPV is positive, and there is no IRR and Payback Period (PP) = 1.3 Years (≤ investment period of 5 years). Environmental feasibility analysis shows that the outer biodigester is safe and has a slightly pungent odor and reduced tofu factory liquid waste. Handling from the exterior involves a particular route to closed drainage or pipe to a final disposal site or a closed septic tank.

Abstract

Telah dilaksanakan kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat sebagai salah satu Dharma dari Tri Dharma Perguruan tinggi dengan judul Pembuatan Hand Sanitizer Untuk Mencegah/Melindungi Diri Dari Penyakit Covid-19, yang dilakukan di pesantren/pondok Tahfiz Jamiyah Sholawatan Ahbabun Nabi, Jalan Pasar 1, kelurahan Tanjung Sari, kecamatan Medan Selayang, Kota Medan , kegiatan ini dilaksanakan selama 2 hari mulai tanggal 4 dan 5 September 2021, sasaan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah para santri, sehingga nantinya akan menjadi ketrampilan bagi santtri untuk membuat Hand Sanitizer, mengingat kegiatan dan aktifitas para santri yang rawan terpapar covid-19 karena kurang nya menjaga Prokes terutama masalah kebersihan tangan, Dari kegiatan ini terlihat antusias dari para santri dan pengasuh nya, dan akhirnya hasil pelatihan diberikan kepada pomdok

Abstract

Pelaksanaan kegiatan yang membuat masyarakat terbantu menghadapi salaha kehidupan sehari hari merupakan salah satu kontribusi seorang Dosen untuk pengembangan ilmu dan masyarakat, salah satu kewajiban seorang dosen dalam tridarma perguruan tinggi adalah pelaksanaan pengabdian ke masyarakat . Proses kimia ini disebut dengan saponifikasi. Fungsi utama sabun yang merupakan sebagai zat pencuci karena terkandung surfaktan. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah (1) meningkatkan motivasi usaha, kesadaran, pengetahuan dan ketrampilan masyarakat melalui penerapan teknologi tepat guna untuk mengolah hal yang mudah didapat menjadi produk sabun cuci piring, (2) mengenalkan kepada masyarakat mengenai peluang dan analisis kelayakan usaha sabun cuci piring rumahan. Metode yang digunakan yaitu wawancara dan pendampingan langsung ke masyarakat dalam membuat sabun cair. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini adalah terbantunya masyarakat dalam mengolah sumberdaya yang ada untuk dibuat sebagai sabun cair dan menjadi alternatif solusi untuk perekonomian masyarakat sehingga tidan lagi bersifat konsuntif

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui formulasi sabun yang optimal dengan penambahan minyak VCO dan minyak kelapa sawit terhadap pH sabun, warna, aroma, tekstur dan penerimaan keseluruhan pada pembuatan sabun susu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap Faktorial yang terdiri dari dua faktor perlakuan dan tiga ulangan. Penilaian uji organoleptik yang akan dinilai oleh panelis tidak terlatih sebanyak 30 orang meliputi warna, aroma, tekstur dan penerimaan secara keseluruhan sabun susu kambing. Hasil uji pH sabun dengan berbagai konsentrasi VCO dan kelapa sawit berpengaruh nyata, sedangkan hasil uji pH sabun susu dengan lama pengadukan berbeda tidak nyata. Pada uji organoleptik pengolahan sabun susu dengan berbagai konsentrasi VCO dan minyak kelapa sawit berpengaruh nyata, sedangkan hasil uji organoleptik sabun susu dengan lama pengadukan yang berbeda tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap warna, aroma, tekstur dan penerimaan secara keseluruhan sabun susu kambing. perlakuan yang paling disukai oleh panelis adalah penambahan VCO dan minyak kelapa sawit dengan konsentrasi sebanyak 30% + 70%.

Abstract

Cocoa plant (Theobroma cacao L.) is one of Indonesia's export commodities in addition to rubber, tea, palm oil and others. With proper and regular mulch giving cocoa plants will have better growing power (Umboh, 2010). According to Umboh, (2010) mulch is an attempt to provide nutrients into the soil so that the physical, chemical and biological conditions of the soil are in accordance with the demands of plants. So the purpose of mulching is to provide nutrients in the soil to get good growth and increase soil productivity. In addition, mulch can also reduce the evaporation of water above the surface of the soil. This study uses Random Group Design (RAK), 3 repeats and the number of plots 12 plots per repeat, so that the total number of plots is 36 plots, while the factor to be tested consists of 2 factors: The first factor is the administration of mulch (B) consisting of 3 levels, namely, Mulch Factor B0, Without mulch, B1 rice husk mulch, B2 Mulch cane pulp While the second factor of water administration (W), water is given according to airy capacity (500 ml per polybag), consists of 4 levels, namely: Water Giving: W1 :1 day twice (1x2), W2 :1 day once (1x1), W3 : 2 days once (2x1) W4 :3 days (3x1) From the results of the study obtained results that the provision of mulch gives a real influence on the number of strands of leaves at the age of 9 weeks after planting and an unreal effect on plant height, leaf area, wet weight of roots and dry weight of roots. Watering treatment exerts an unreal influence on all observed parameters. While the interaction between mulch administration (B) and watering (W) exerts an unreal influence on all observed parameters.

Abstract

A sheep required sufficient nutrients for growth. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of sago pulp (A metro-xylone sago) in various levels of administration in rations of growth male cross hair sheep in weaning for 8 weeks. This paper described using a completely randomized design (CRD) non factorial consisting of 4 treatments with 5 replications. The treatments were as follows: PO = 100% field grass, P1 = 30% field grass + 70% reinforcement feed (based sago pulp 30%), P2 = 30% Field grass + 70% reinforcement feed (based sago pulp 40%), P3 = 30% field grass + 70% reinforcement feed (based sago pulp 50%). Parameters measured were daily weight gain (PBBH) in (g/head/day), feed consumption (g/head/day) and feed conversion. The result showed that highest daily weight is (P1) with weight gain 46,78 (g/head/day) and significant effect to (P0) with lowest weight gain 37,14 (g/head/day). Highest feed consumption is (P1) with consumption 525,57 (g/head/day) while the lowest (P0) 379,46 (g/head/day) and highest feed conversion is (P2) 11,81 while the lowest (P0) 10,22 and effect no significant
